Had a factory issue with my first one, was able to get it replaced, don’t listen to the ignorant comments they don’t know what mechanical means, this is a mechanical keyboard. The only difference is it uses a laser disconnect instead of metal contacts to actuate the switch which is way faster. I’ve owned razor keyboards, corsair keyboards, and random go-keyboard.com ones. This Is the best and fastest by far out of all of them and the key clack is amazing.

This was a great keyboard. I didn’t realize how good the optical switch response feedback. I have the linear version. I use this keyboard mix with gaming and wfh. Need some adjustments coming from a mechanical switch keyboard. I have some typo for the first a couple of days. Gradually it becomes better. Probably in 2 months and so it should be fully adapted.
Reason for one star minus is it don’t have usb passthru. But the padded wrist rest is amazing! I like it has magnet that can be taken in or out easily. I hope this lasts.

ASUS TUF K7 Keyboard
I opened up the box, extracted the keyboard, and plugged it in. It lit up many different colors; very nice initial impression. Then I installed the Armoury II software. I was able to change the lighting effects. I decided to play with all the options later. I headed over to the configuration section and saw that Armoury II offers a Live Update feature. I assumed this would update firmware, drivers, and the application itself. Part of the way through the update process, the firmware update failed and the keyboard went dark. I tried using different USB ports, different computers, reinstalling the Armoury II software, and attempted to set the keyboard back to factory default using a key-combination. Nothing worked. I reached out to ASUS Online Customer Service. Eventually they recommended I return the product to the vendor and buy another, so that’s what I’m going to do. I kind of like these optical keys.
