I bought this for my son who enjoys playing games. Despite being a renewed product, it works like a brand-new keyboard, works perfectly, and has an excellent quiet sound. My son is comfortable with the layout and the keys are responsive and easy to press. Also, he loves the color backlit choices and adjustable brightness. I highly recommend it to everyone!

After trying the more “deluxe” model K95, I’ve found this K55 much more to my liking (at 1/3 the price!) The keys have a just-right soft feel and make just enough sound (compared to the K95, which is ultra-touchy and goes CLACK-CLACK-CLACK!) The backlight color setup is more limited but, thankfully, can be done stand-alone without having to download any extra driver software. Likewise for the “macro” custom function keys. All in all, a nice unit, very reasonably priced. The only reason my Ergonomic rating is down a bit is no real fault of the keyboard itself; it’s just that my “muscle memory” continues to expect the Escape key in the very upper left corner, and the ‘G1’ extra function key is there instead.

The keyboard is a great product for its pricing and a very reliable choice for a budget keyboard. The layout is fairly convenient and comfortable, however, it is a bit on the heftier spectrum. The lighting looks great, it’s versatile, and it’s easy to navigate its designated program. However, the keys are membrane which gives it a quieter sound (which could be preferable to some people), so they are not ideal for gaming, nonetheless still a great keyboard for its price point.
