   I absolutely love this keyboard its my first 75% and wireless. The keys sound soo good feel nice, now i understand what keyboard Enthusiasts means when they say keys feel thocky. The fact that i can plug in play or use it as wireless is the best part can play while it charges or just use it as a regular keyboard. One worry i have cuz i don’t know much about switches is that they say these keyboards only come with mlx red switches my buddy got this same keyboard and his box says it but mine just says red so idk if i got scammed or just a typo. Also love that i can put custom keys i dont do all 5 cuz idk if the switches are wrong or it’s a typo. Ill update if i find out.

   Upgraded from a Corsair Strafe Mk.2. I’m using this keyboard mainly for gaming and general use. This keyboard is the perfect size for gaming while keeping your arrow and F1 keys. Super comfortable while typing. The feedback from a key press is also very satisfying. Noise is perfect and even quieter than the strafe. The quality feels very nice and looks sleek on a nice large mousepad. The RGB functions as you would expect from corsair, while using their iCUE app. The only downside this keyboard has, is that the wireless mode only has preset RGB lighting options. You cannot use any custom lighting you made yourself. Only when it is plugged in will your custom lighting be available. Overall 9.5/10

   I wanted to love this keyboard. The tactile feedback is incredible, the chassis feels rugged and the lighting effects are bright, smooth and beautiful.

   So when one star? Corsairs own update bricks the wireless receiver. Google the issue- there are massive Reddit threads about and the only fix is to contact Corsair for a new dongle. It wouldn’t be an issue but they are still pushing the same broken update from 6 months ago.

   Anyway, it happened to me and it’ll likely happen to you – fine if you want a wired keyboard, but I didn’t. Was very sad to see this returned because it ticked every box… until it didn’t.

   I really enjoy this keyboard. The k65 plus wireless is well built, looks and performs great, and is a decent price for a name brand keyboard. The reason why I only gave the keyboard 4 out of 5 stars is because its a Corsair keyboard that is not fully compatible with iCUE.

   When the keyboard is in wireless mode, the lighting cannot be fully customizable. You can only select the basic lighting presets when in wireless mode. This is annoying because if you have other corsair components and have a custom color scheme, this keyboard cannot be synced unless it is in wired mode. This overall would not be a big deal if it was a random keyboard, but because it is a Corsair keyboard, and a big selling point of Corsair peripherals is iCUE, it kind of defeats the purpose.

   I still really like this keyboard overall. It is responsive in wireless mode, it is built well, and has good weight to it. I have swapped all the switches and keycaps and it was easy to do. If Corsair creates a follow up to this keyboard and includes wireless full iCUE support then they would have a for sure five star keyboard.

   Before delving into the drawbacks, I want to highlight what I genuinely appreciate about this keyboard. It closely mirrors another keyboard I use, the Keychron K2, which seamlessly integrates with my MacBook via a USB dock connection. This Corsair K65 Plus keyboard is a pleasure to use, offering relatively quiet keystrokes for a mechanical keyboard. Although I typically favor Blue switch keyboards for their audible feedback, they can be disruptively loud during conference calls where typing is necessary. This keyboard strikes the perfect balance, providing the tactile feel of a mechanical keyboard without the intrusive click sounds. Another feature I find exceptionally useful is the volume knob. Not only does it enhance the keyboard’s aesthetic, but it also allows for quicker volume adjustments than traditional key presses. However, I’ve encountered some issues beyond these positives. The iCue software, crucial for customization, failed to function on my Intel MacBook despite several installation attempts. This was particularly disappointing as I intended to use the software for specific customizations related to my use of the Mac Terminal, where I frequently use the option key for shortcuts, such as moving the cursor with option key + arrow keys. Unfortunately, this keyboard does not seem to recognize the option key commands as expected. Furthermore, when attempting to use the cut/paste functionality in Finder, the option key again did not perform as anticipated. Normally, pressing the option key changes the “Paste” menu option to “Move,” a feature that works with other keyboards but not with this one. Even after ensuring the keyboard was set to “Mac” mode, the issue persisted, leading me to use it less often than I would like. As my experience is solely based on its use with a Mac, I cannot comment on its performance with Windows. Mac users might experience similar issues, for which I have yet to find a solution.

   This arrives in a beautiful box and packaged very well. The keyboard itself is really nice. It is a great size for having the extra room to freely move around your mouse. It feels very durable to me. Playing games or surfing the web in wired or wireless mode worked without problems, and pretty much lag free. The braided cable Corsair includes is of excellent quality. Now I said this keyboard was not perfect and it isn’t. I will try to explain this by listing what I liked and what I didn’t like. Despite it not being perfect, my likes outweigh my dislikes and I did not take off any stars. If I had taken off any stars, and I almost did, it would have been just one. Likes: 1) Great layout, size, design, feel, everything. 2) Volume knob is great. Very solid feel. 3) Switches feel fantastic and are amazingly quiet. I mean these are membrane quiet. I think this is partly because of the extra sound dampening Corsair used. 4) Hot swappable, but I would never do it as I love the switches in it. 5) Height adjustable, and the bottom of the keyboard looks as nice as the top, even tho you will never see it. 6) PBT key caps feel great and stay clean, but these key caps are also something I do not like. 7) The rgb looks very nice, and I like the rainbow wave the best. 8) It works well just plug and play, but iCUE software is needed for full functionality. Things I don’t like: 1) On the PBT key caps the letters and numbers are not illuminated. It still looks nice but it makes it very difficult for me to see to type or game. I will have to get another set of key caps that illuminate completely. This is extra cost and this keyboard is not cheap to begin with. I have no idea why Corsair made this decision. 2) Does not support Corsair’s “Slipstream”. Not a huge deal for me as I had no problems otherwise, just something to keep in mind. So there it is. It is a great keyboard, as are all the keyboards I have had experience with from Corsair. I am mainly disappointed about the not fully illuminated key caps and the extra $20 or so dollars I must spend to get the ones I want, bringing the cost of this keyboard to around $180 dollars. That is a lot of money, and something you must consider if your thinking of making a purchase.

    The keyboard is very high quality. I own a more expensive flat Corsair full keyboard. Both have similar build quality. Build quality is top notch. No bend or rattle to it. Everything feels high end. The keys are terrific. The rgb lighting is top as is my other keyboard. This board costs a bit less, but it is nice to see similar quality. Using this board is terrific. The keys are so satisfying. The board is light enough to move around for what ever your set up is. It is small, light, and built incredibly well. Connecting is very easy. Bluetooth is an obvious option. My other Corsair products have all not lost any functionality over time. So the reliability should be very high. This board looks and functions to an exceptional level.

    I was looking to convert my setup to a completely wireless one (headphones, mouse, keyboard) and I purchased this for the keyboard. I have been using this almost daily for over 5 months and its a great keyboard in my experience. The small size is great and frees up more space on my desk. Each key stroke feels clean and has a smooth, subtle sound (not the loud, clacky sounds from mechanical keyboards I was used to). I typically use it wired since it never moves off of my desk, but functions good wirelessly with no noticeable lag between keystrokes. I think some of the keys have a weird spacing since I kept accidentally hitting semi colon (might have been another key) during the first couple months I used it. I like using it for gaming since that is what I usually do, and currently have no plans to look towards another keyboard.

    I’ve been using an older k95 as my main keyboard. This 65 is an excellent change. I love the feel of the keys and actuation; very smooth but also very responsive. I found both typing and gaming on it to actually be fun. Overall, if you like Corsair, check this space saver out, five out of five stars and I would buy it after testing it.

    Corsair never disappoints! I really love how smooth it was to type on the keyboard. The clicks of the keystrokes are satisfying and flows well with each other. Since I am using it for gaming, the 75% keyboard is great since I don’t have to move my hands a lot. The added effects of the lights shining when typing is such a cool effect. Overall, if you’re a gamer, or even a keyboard enthuiast, this is a must purchase!

    Corsair didn’t disappoint with this one… I like the wireless capability either by 2.4ghz or bluetooth. The web constructed body and soft press keys make this experience amazing. Ive purchased numerous PC related components from corsair and never been disappointed. This is a 75% meaning you’re missing the number pad but if you need the extra desk space or just dont want that feature then this ones for you.. Very solid keyboard and the RGB backlit feature is stunning too with multiple settings.
