This is a fantastic keyboard. I like that it lights up because it helps me play games at night without the lights on, but I don’t care what colors light up. The red looks and works great and I like 1 color it is less distracting than RGB for me. If you like RGB go for it but you will have to spend $110-120+ for good RGB keyboards or risk getting a keyboard that is junky. For $60-85 there are many nice mechanical keyboards that just have no lights at all or 1 color lights. This keyboard is one of the best PC investments I have made in 20+ years of gaming. I can’t believe I didn’t get a mechanical keyboard sooner it feels and sounds way better and makes a huge difference in games, and just day to day typing!
Get this keyboard or another mechanical keyboard it is 1 of the best PC items you can buy! If you get 1 without RGB it will save you a lot of money, I love this mechanical keyboard.

Purchased this refurbished. Was not disappointed. Came in reasonable condition, some light wear as to be expected, but looked brand new. Had to actually inspect it to see wear, but the keys looked brand new. The letters didn’t fade at all, and this style of ieycap tends to fade super fast in my experience. I presume they just replace all the keycaps because keycaps are cheap. Works great, keys feel nice and, while quite audible, aren’t obnoxious like the Logitech browns I had before. Still, if you like quiet keys, steer clear, they do still let off that distinctive click mechanical keyboards give. Feels nice as you’d expect from cherry MX reds. My biggest gripe is the lack of 10 key, but I knew that going into this keyboard. The deal was enough for me to overlook that, and I could buy a mechanical 10 key and still have saved money over getting a brand new full sized keyboard cherry MX switches.
All in all, if you’re looking for an inexpensive keyboard, and don’t mind refurbished, definitely consider this.

There’s a whole lot to like about this keyboard. The backlighting is very nice and easy to control with Corsair’s iCUE software. Even being limited to red lighting, there are still enough options available to tweak it to your liking. The keyboard seems to be made of pretty good materials and the silicone membrane + the little drainage channels are nice if you’re at all worried about liquid spills. Also, I don’t know exactly what “renewed” entails, but the keyboard looks absolutely brand new to my eyes. No visible signs of wear and the only thing missing was the bit of plastic covering the Corsair logo.
When it comes to actually using the keyboard, it all depends on whether you like the MX Red switches. They definitely take some getting used to if you aren’t accustomed to them. They require very little actuation pressure and they aren’t tactile, so accidental keystrokes can be a problem at first. It took me a few minutes to adjust, but now I can type just as well as on any other keyboard. I typically write several thousand words per day, so clearly the MX Reds aren’t a huge problem for typing. Excellent for gaming too, of course.
