   Had this for a few years…a year after having it key caps would suddenly just pop off while typing or playing a game and i don’t press the keys that hard…I had to spend $45 dollars to get a full set of key caps just to replace the 12 that broke off…$45 dollars of plastic with letters on them…my advice to you is don’t buy this one…it’s poorly made

   Just fair warning to any potential buyers: I bought this “Used, like new” through Corsair, fulfilled by go-keyboard.com, and it did not fit the description of this item. The keyboard itself appears to be fine, but did not include the correct switches (the mechanisms under the key caps). The description states the keyboard comes with Cherry MX Brown switches (which are literally the color brown), but instead came with red switches (see photos). I am currently attempting to resolve, but both go-keyboard.com and the manufacturer are so far giving me the runaround. I do have the option to return to go-keyboard.com, but since I rolled the dice on a used keyboard, and the keyboard seems to be functioning okay so far, I am just trying to get the parts that were included in the description. Buyer, please be aware.

   Cherry MX browns and excellent build quality make this the best mechanical keyboard for the price. The keys are very well made and the RGB system that Corsair has is one of the best if not the best one in terms of customization it offers. Also worth noting the keyboard has on board memory so you dont need the iCUE software to get the most out your keyboard. You can even save your customization and uninstall the iCUE after uploading the profiles to the keyboard. My only wish was that the lights were a little bit brighter

   The box it came in looks undamaged but the keyboard inside was a mess. I could hear the keyboard caps shaking around in the box before i got it open. they were literally in the pile you see in the image and i have no idea how the volume wheel got that way. The left Ctrl and Shift switches seemed to be put in at an angle and or are broken as in when you press the key it stays pressed down and you would have to pull it up. Will be seeking a replacement and update the review that is based no an unbroken product.

   I want to give this keyboard five stars, but the noise every time I hit a key prevents me from doing so. It’s not so much the “clacking” noise, but there’s an additional hollow, echo-y, springy noise. It’s like the keyboard’s body is hollow, and every time I hit a key it’s like I’m playing a tiny steel drum. Other than the noise, I do like the feel of the keys. The keycaps are very slightly concave, and the texture on them feels good on my fingertips. Maybe that’s because my last ‘board had smooth, shiny ones from wear, I don’t know. I’m not a huge fan of the fonts on the keycaps, but I’m getting used to that, too. I do like that you can change the key colors, but I prefer to use a yellow for the entire keyboard. It just seems to show up best for my old eyes. The F and J keys have the typical locator ridge at the edge of the keycaps, and they’re just prominent enough to keep you on target without being obnoxious. A big reason I chose this keyboard, besides the brand’s great reputation, was the Cherry MX Brown key switches. They’re billed as the Goldilocks of switches for typing and gaming, with a tactile ‘bump’, and moderate noise level. These switches are good for over 100 million keystrokes, and can handle my daily six hours of heavy pounding. The magnetic wrist wrest is just right. It grabs onto the keyboard like an alligator, and is the perfect height, angle, length, with a nice texture that keeps your palms planted. I don’t think this could be any better, and without it, the keyboard sits far too high to be comfortable. Other things I absolutely love about this keyboard are the roller volume switch, the mute button, the media buttons, and the fact that it’s a full-sized keyboard. I’m left-handed, so I use the number pad and buttons to the left of it for games. Sadly, this doesn’t have a dedicated sleep button. I wish there was one more switch on the top left for that, but no joy. So I used the iCUE software to program my ESC button to put the PC to sleep when I hold the FN button, and then press the ESC key. It’s called a macro, and it works pretty well, but programming was not an easy process. This could be more intuitive, for sure. There are also a bunch of other readouts from “sensors” that you can load up on the user interface. These are mostly temperatures, speeds, and loads from your PC’s components (CPU, GPU, etc.). I have other programs for that, but it turns out to be handy because you can just click on the toolbar icon to bring iCUE to the foreground, and get the info you need instead of opening other apps. Bottom line – This is the best (and most expensive) keyboard I’ve ever used, and I think it was well worth the price. But you’ll either have to learn to enjoy the somewhat loud and echo-y noise it makes, or get yourself some earbuds. I hope this helps.

    Hi gamers of the world? Nice to meet you. The Corsair keyboard is really good, but go-keyboard.com’s service was the worst. Details are given below. 1. Unsafe packaging – It is hard to believe, but the delivery came without a courier box. Of course, the keyboard box was damaged and the keyboard seemed to be somewhat broken. 2. Disassembled keys – No, no, I heard a crack in the box before opening. When I opened the box, the keys were all disassembled from the keyboard. I was surprised to know that the keyboard was completely shattered. First, I reassembled the keys on the keyboard. I connected it to the computer and tried to operate it. Fortunately, it worked. However, I was worried that the disassembled keys due to the shock of unsafe delivery would cause some trouble later. 3. Invisible product status – I think the coolest part of the Corsair keyboard is the Corsair logo with the light at the top. It was a high grossish and had a lot of scratches. The Corsair brand is a high-end brand, and the K70 is the top-line product of that brand. So I was in a bad mood. 4. Poor product – Simple. O key is scratched. It is quite annoying. The cause is unknown. It may have been bad from the beginning, or the keys that came off the keyboard during go-keyboard.com ‘s unsafe delivery may crumble here and there and cause scratches. As you read this article, the key sense or performance of the Corsair keyboard is not the key. RGB light is the key. So my heart aches more. – said the go-keyboard.com customer center. I wanted an exchange, not a refund. I just had to use the keyboard to work in the company. And because this happened entirely in the go-keyboard.com’s fault, I wanted a product swap. But I knew the general online shopping mall policy (self-determined), so I thought it would be difficult to achieve what I wanted. Still, I thought go-keyboard.com might have some other services. But it was the same. I repeatedly said that only a refund is possible. But if I get a refund, I will not buy this keyboard again. It is not sold for $ 99 at go-keyboard.com now. Also, during refund and repurchase, I have no keyboard to use. I do not want to use meaningless money as a result of go-keyboard.com’s shipping mistakes. So I decided to take everything and just use the keyboard. I have been using go-keyboard.com for almost 10 years and appreciated the tremendous service, but this time I was really disappointed. The next purchase of go-keyboard.com seems to be a lot of trouble. I hope this information is helpful to other buyers.

    The product was received with 32 of the keys loose, but I do not fault Corsair for this issue. It falls to the poor packaging materials from go-keyboard.com and the lack of care by the delivery service (UPS). When I opened the go-keyboard.com box, which was dented and slightly damaged, and removed the product in it’s sealed packaging from Corsair, it rattled like a jigsaw puzzle. I was anticipating a damaged item, but fortunately Corsair makes such a good and sturdy product that it was able to endure being handled poorly by the delivery service. After replacing all the loose keys and plugging the keyboard in, I was pleased to find that it works wonderfully. I love the touch of the keys, the soft clicking of the Cherry MX Brown keys is not too loud, the RGB colors are great, and I am very satisfied with the overall performance of the keyboard thus far.

    Corsair needs to redesign the keycaps on these things. I have been wondering why my key caps tend to pop off so easily when typing. Upon looking at those that pop off, every single keycap that I have pulled off to look at is actually broken. Every cap that I’ve looked at is cracked where the stem of the switch gets inserted. Another big issue with this keyboard, is that there is chatter on some of the keys. It’s especially annoying since it is never consistent. After researching a bit, this likely isn’t a switch issue. I have yet to find a solution to it. Corsair wanted me to send it back to them for repair/replacement (and have several weeks of downtime) . That, or have them hold onto my credit card info while they ship another one out. No thanks. I’m looking at going back to a membrane keyboard.

    OMG…there is nothing like typing on a quality mechanical keyboard! And this Corsair has all of the bells and whistles you could ever want! The colors, the volume control, the extra USB port, the quality…it is a dream! Why a mechanical keyboard? Because the structure of the buttons result in less stress on your fingers as you type. This model is a Cherry MX brown switch, so it is not as loud as a Cherry MX blue switch, but it still produces a sound with each keystroke. I LOVE this keyboard!!!

I had no idea this keyboard came with it’s own gaming keys for W A S D Q E R F they are amazing and make me a better gamer and that volume knob is easy to use fast.     tldr: corsair doesn’t seem to make decent peripherals even though their cases and components are top notch I decided to move to corsair from razer after messing around with a friend’s setup. I bought this keyboard and their wireless charging gaming mouse and charing mousepad. the scroll wheel in the mouse pad busted, i paid $90 temporarily for a new one through their warranty and that busted as well, the axle holding the wheel breaking and i’m not extremely rough (i don’t rage slam my stuff, i get up and kick my shoes into the corner of the room or something stupid). luckily the keyboard seemed pretty good and i got the feel of it after a while, but today i’ve had the first issue of it’s kind i’ve ever experienced. The “A” key’s plastic gromets to seat into the switch snapped. once again this is typicaly use, gaming and typing for work. but in the 20 years i’ve been in IT, gaming, living my life, i’ve not once had a key gromet just up and snap. So overall based on my experiences I will probably only use corsair for components now and would never recommend any peripherals.

    Ordered an open box version of this keyboard through the go-keyboard.com Warehouse. The description given was “like new-original box will be damaged”. Seems ok, right? The packaging has little bearing on the contents unless it’s destroyed or mangled by King Kong himself. I received the keyboard by the promised date, which is good on go-keyboard.com. After inspecting the box, the damage seemed pretty minimal and I thought it would be good to go. Well, I wasn’t very pleased to open it and find almost a dozen of the keys caps free-floating around the OEM packaging. Could just be that mechanical keys don’t secure super tight to the switches, so I let that slide. My main issues were with the “like new” claim given by go-keyboard.com warehouse. The keyboard’s surface had multiple scratches and dents in the aluminum face. Two of the number key switches were so sticky and looked to possibly have some dirt or grime or other substance inside of them. The windows lock key won’t register even after multiple soft restarts and software finagling. Multiple keys are not showing the red spectrum on the RGB lighting. And to top it all off, the surface was covered in a bunch of dust, debris, and who knows what else. Other than the issues listed, I’m enjoying the keyboard. Considering that I paid about 60-70% the cost of a brand new keyboard, some problems are definitely understandable. I personally think that either go-keyboard.com Warehouse needs to be better about their descriptions or there needs to be better QC on the open box items they are shipping. I’m almost wondering if this was supposed to be a lesser-priced open box Corsair return. Other than the issues listed, I’ve been overall happy with the keyboard. Corsair makes a quality and feature-rich product and for that I’m grateful. Hopefully go-keyboard.com sees this and corrects either their open-box damage/use transparency or their QC on which product is assigned what “quality rating” i.e. “like new”, “slightly used” Review of the open box/ Warehouse experience: Two stars Review of the keyboard itself: Four stars

    The tactile sensation of the brown switches and their arrangement is delightful. I do wish, however, that the Windows, Alt, and function keys also displayed Mac symbols, similar to the KeyChron K10 keyboards that cater to both PC and Mac users. Had this been the case, I would’ve definitely bought another for my Mac Mini. Nevertheless, I opted for the KeyChron K10 with brown switches for its dual compatibility. The analog volume control is a joy, and the media controls are a welcomed feature. With Corsair’s software, I can customize the backlight color of each key. I’ve set the home row in distinct colors to quickly orient my hands in low light (see photo)—a feature I plan to refine further. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this keyboard.

    This keyboard is built very solid. It does not slide around at all. It has a removable wrist rest made of a nice feeling plastic. The volume wheel and media controls are a great feature. The ICue software for customization is fairly easy to navigate, and was easy to set up some custom profiles. The keys feel nice and responsive. Only downside, there is a metallic sound when the keys return to their resting position.

    LOVE the build quality and design; materials are top-notch. I love everything to do with this keyboard but have experienced 1 issue that I can’t find a solution for online and seems to be more common than I was aware of. The iCUE software that controls the RGB lighting will often times not see (recognize) the device. This issue in iCUE happens with my Corsair Scimitar Pro mouse also. 🙁 A cold reboot is the only way to get the iCUE software to recognize them again, I’ve tried restarting the iCUE software and everything else. A total restart of the computer is the ONLY way to fix it. Once again, I absolutely LOVE it and it’s built great. Dunno if the bug is the software or devices.

    A keyboard for gaming? Check. A keyboard for typing for work? Also check. This is a keyboard that does both of those things well. The comfort of the keys bundled with the Cherry MX switches make this the mechanical keyboard to have. The keys hold up well to daily use for work and respond instantly during a gaming session. The RGB lighting in the keyboard is a great added feature to an already outstanding product. The passthrough USB port is also a nice touch. Useful for a mouse receiver or a flash drive. The price may seem high to many people. This is the best keyboard money you could buy. You won’t be disappointed.

    Nice performance, the keyboard is not noisy, the rgb lights are decent. I bought this one to replace a K63 red lighted, would like something sturdier, bigger. This keyboard feels really nice, the frame is aluminum, and the keys feel good. Maybe for $100 is not worth it, but I like it. The only issue I found is the volume control. I have two weeks playing with it, and two days ago when I used the volume wheel to raise the volume, the keyboard crash, stopped working, just died! I unplugged it and plugged again, it worked but 30 min later it stopped working and even unplugging it never came back. I had go restart my desktop. I made my research and found this is a recurring issue that comes from 2014 or even before. No answer from corsair just looks like they don’t care. By the way I have the latest ICue. If you don’t about the volume wheel… you’re fine

    Después de investigar por internet cuales eran los mejores teclados del mercado opte por el Corsair K70 en su version Silent, es bastante cómodo, el nivel del ruido es levemente menor a mi teclado anterior de membrana pero al ser Mecánico sin duda es de lo mejor, no encontré una version Español o Latinoamericano lo que para trabajo en oficina es sin duda un punto negativo ya que el uso de la Ñ así como de caracteres como llaves, corchetes así como símbolos de mayor y menor tendrán que ser configurados o personalizados. ell RGB es configurable y cuenta con teclas de perfil de memoria para almacenar en hardware, la tecla de volumen es ligeramente rápida por lo que solo resta acostumbrarse, el soporte descansa muñecas es plástico por lo que es un poco duro pero no es molesto ni tampoco incomodo. además se puede retirar, el cable es bastante grueso por lo que es muy resistente, es un poco pesado y su único defecto visual es que puede rayarse fácilmente

    I got this keyboard to replace my old K70 RGB keyboard of the same company. I would consider this keyboard a downgrade. The only real ‘upgrades’ on this newer model are an extra ‘profile switch’ button and lights behind the corsair logo. Quality on this newer model is worse all the way across the board. Cheaper materials and a less comfortable wrist rest are immediately noticeable, like how the keycaps have less plastic around the stem, so they’re far more prone to snapping (see attached picture) but the real issues are with the firmware of the keyboard. I have done all the troubleshooting and resetting and yeah, its just the keyboard. There is a VERY critical bug with this keyboard and the volume wheel, where sometimes the volume wheel freezes and cranks the volume all the way up or down and locks it there, depending on which direction you were going. The whole keyboard becomes unresponsive in this state. Only way to resolve is fully unplugging both of the keyboard’s cables from the computer to fully unpower it, and then plug it back in. All while my ears get destroyed. Sometimes the keyboard just doesn’t power on right and you have to replug it. No rhyme or reason to it. Just happens sometimes. No firmware update has fixed any of these issues. Two messy years in with this keyboard now, and the keycaps are so loose they stick to your finger and pull right off the stems. Other keycaps are actually broken at the stem, and wobble on the spot while also actually just *falling off of the stem*. Even now I can see the keys sitting higher on the stem just waiting to pop off at any strong vibration. I’ll give them credit where it’s due though: As of this review, all the lights still function properly. Couldn’t say that about the older one. Had one of their mice too. The middle click doesn’t work on it very well anymore and its only about 8 months in. I won’t be buying their products again. At one point they had a rightful spot in the market, but now its entire foundation is just reputation. Buyer beware. (Their iCUE utility is still overly convoluted, too)

    Great keyboard except- for shipping they just slapped a shipping label on the keyboard box itself (which isn’t protected with foam at all) and when I received the keyboard it was beat up as shown in pictures. Everything on the keyboard works but Corsair doesn’t cover shipping damage which is understandable but at least box it up to protect your product.
