   When setting up the color zones through Corsair’s software, not all colors work in all zones. If it’s not a primary color, it shows up faded, and a few zones are totally off when using primary colors. Also the scroll wheel has one spot that always sticks and catches. I also have the standard Corsair SCIMITAR RGB mouse, and would recommend that over the pro version. The software for the standard version is simpler, and actually works too.

   Hello all… Before I get started.. The mouse is excellent but flawed for 1 issue, that being the DPI concern I am addressing here. So I noticed and as a professional gamer… Corsair, can you please explain why your two DPI buttons do not register to re-keybind said DPI buttons for the use of Mouse4 & Mouse5 for MMO gaming? As a professional, it is CRITICAL that I use the entire mouse and all of it’s keybind features. This includes re-keybinding the two DPI buttons located right behind your scroll wheel on your said Corsair Scimitar Pro RGB *Black* MMO gaming mouse. Final result – Corsair, when will you fix and allow the ability to enable us to re-keybind your two DPI buttons into Mouse4 & Mouse5 keybinds? As of thus far, when you go into the Icue software version 3.10.125. You can not re-keybind the DPI to Mouse4 & Mouse5 buttons. The 3.10.125 software profile itself does not read a Mouse4 & Mouse5 keybind setting implementation to even customize to, to begin with. This is a CRITICAL ISSUE for needing to utilize the entire mouse as intended. CORSAIR, so my question to you is… WHEN will you fix this issue? Do you plan on fixing the DPI issue??? Currently also running with the newest version of Firmware v.1.10. There is no higher upgrade. I’ve updated the application / software to all the newest of updates that this product can receive.    I had a Razer Naga for the past 6-7 years. Went through easily 4 or 5 of them. The good news is their warranty is FANTASTIC…so I only had to purchase 2 total mice and the rest were warrantied. However, that is still a huge PITA. I switched to Corsair, and I have been happy so far….I have only owned the mouse under a year though, and thats generally when things start going wrong with equipment. The CUE interface is a good program, and keys are easily assigned / macros created. Good mouse feel. Its a larger mouse, which I like for palming the mouse vs claw grip. Overall, from the Corsair products I own, i feel the build quality is better than other brands (razer), and I look forward to my keyboard/mouse/fans lasting a long time.

   I was looking for an ergonomic mouse that would fit my large hands well. The clicks sounds nice and the scroll wheel is great quality. The lighting is super cool, but you’re going to have your hands covering up most of the lighting a lot of the time anyway. I adjusted the number pad’s position with the included allen wrench. I had a hard time finding it in the packaging, I almost threw the compartment that contained it into the trash! So, be careful you don’t throw that away when you’re opening everything. It’s pretty small.

   This mouse is pretty awesome I must say. I will admit customizing can be a pain in the ass. However, it is just a one time pain because you can save all of your profiles on the Corsair Utility program which is neat. I bought this mouse because I wanted those 12 extra hotkeys for PUBG (Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds). I know what your thinking…(really PUBG? and not a MOBA?) yes! LOL feels a bit heavier than the Corsair M45 Pro I have that is now in storage. Overall I am happy with it! I know this review is not as information or in-depth as you might like but the only thing I can say is try it in-store before you buy it!

    I bought this product and tried to use a few weeks. The first impression was very good. The material quality and adjustable side panel brought me hope for a new good gaming mouse. Then I found a few issues that make this mouse unusable for gaming at least for me. As 1. As you can see in the picture the edges of buttons are very sharp, so if you have long fingers you will feel the pain in your tips when using a palm grip for intense gaming. 2. If you have long fingers and you move the side panel forward it’s almost impossible to press button 1 with your thumb without pressing button 2. 3. even if you don’t have such long fingers you likely will feel pain when pressing the right button. as you can see the sharp edge of the right side panel will come forward once the right button is fully pressed. 4. The software for remapping keys is a separate story, but it’s a frustrating story too. Overall, my feeling is that mouse made by people who are even not playing games

    Corsair released the Scimitar RGB mouse some time ago without much fanfare, competing directly with the Naga – Corsair came out swinging big however with a strong product that featured a patented slider key system to move the 12 button layout how you wanted which was a nice idea for such a large amount of buttons. They offered a 3988 sensor powered mouse that offered acceptable performance for multi-use purposes, a comfortable safe shape, with a readily accessible panel of buttons for macros or keybinds. The problem with the old mouse, that I had, however was three fold. The first major issue with the old Scimitar was the sensor performance. Regardless of what you set the lift-off distance too – it was still very high, and upon making lifting movements would cause wild changes in cursor position even at low CPI settings. This was my biggest, and loudest complaint with the 3988 powered mouse. The other two problems were less severe, but still problematic… and it was the buttons. The buttons had a specific … mushy… feeling to them despite being mechanical switches, and the other major issue with the buttons was that despite where you might slide the side button panel, the keys sat far too low in the chassis, causing my thumb to rub up against the mouse mat whenever I would attempt to use 1,4,7, or 10 buttons on the mouse. Not a huge issue, but a minor annoyance. The third problem was easily fixable – and it was the CUE software. A beautifully designed piece of software, that was just unfortunately not intuitive to use, and buggy as all get out… I am happy to say TWO of those major issues have not only been resolved entirely, but improved greatly. The new Corsair Scimitar Pro packs Corsair’s own iteration of the popular PMW-3360 sensor, which they have called the PMW-3367. Lift off distance issues have been entirely resolved, as well as much better performance on a variety of surfaces. I tested the Corsair Scimitar Pro on a QCK+ Heavy, Zowie GSR, PureTrak Talent, MMX300, and a GLORIOUS XXXL, and it performed great on all the surfaces – all which have very different material. The other major issue is CUE, I am happy to say it has definitely improved in both usability, and function – while they still have kinks to work out – they are making headway into creating a great software suite. Not much else to say on that front. Some features I would add include the ability to reset surface calibration, as at present – you are not able to. The clicks, the left and right, feel springy and have good tension. Not quite Logitech G303 / G900 / G Pro clicks – but definitely up there in quality. Side panel buttons are better – not quite where I’d like them to be in terms of feedback, but definitely getting better. I can’t quite tell but I feel like they’ve been slightly more spaced apart to be more easily “findable” on the fly. These could still benefit from being raised up slightly, as they still sit a little low for my comfort, but again – this is a minor personal opinion. The shell material itself has changed as well… less rubbery, and more plastic, but I think this was done to address durability concerns, as the rubbery coating on my old Scimitar despite only being purchased in November has already begun to wear – I forsee the Pro’s coating to be much better in terms of wear and tear. The weight is a little on the high side for FPS / MOBA players, but it is certainly not excessive. with a bit of cable coming in at 118 grams for me. I prefer my mice under 100 grams, however in this case – this mouse is specifically for MMO use for me – I have other mice for FPS / General Use – so if you’re an mmo player looking for a top-quality sensor mouse that can be used in FPS or other games that won’t put you at any sort of disadvantage, I can highly recommend this mouse. Some odd design choices for me include the strip of brushed aluminium at the bottom of the mouse that houses the sensor – while it looks nice and gives a premium feel – the aluminium provides a jumping off point for fibers to get caught on cloth pads. I have not seen this happen with the Pro iteration yet – but it most certainly did on the old Scimitar. To be clear, there are things Corsair could still do to bring this mouse up to another level – shaving some weight and raising the buttons up a bit would improve ergonomics greatly, without much change to the design – but overall we are looking at an iterative change that brings a lot to the table. It is most certainly an evolution of the design, and brings great performance to the table at a good price. All in all – I’d say if you’re in the market for an MMO mouse that can be more than that – grab a Corsair Scimitar Pro. You won’t be disappointed in your purchase.

    This mouse is great when it works, which is always. The software is horrible bloated garbage though, if you have any interest in a mouse that works all the time every time, DO NOT buy this. It will frequently start up and refuse to allow you to use your remapped buttons, so it defaults to the original setup, where NO buttons are mapped by default except LMB, RMB, scroll, and DPI. That’s right, out of the box, you can’t use any of the side buttons as 1-0 without downloading their software (500Mb install), and physically remapping every individual button. I included a picture of my 14 remaps just to make all the mouse buttons function like a normal mouse from literally any other seller, I had to do these all myself, mouse was unusable out of the box. So you can’t actually use this mouse out of the box like any other mouse, you have to install their terrible software (once again 500Mb download) that will also install audio functions (for a mouse/keyboard!? WHY!) which will disable your audio till you switch inputs off and back on again (this also happens after every update for the software), it also features system monitoring in case you wanted it to suck up extra memory just to be able to use a mouse (200Mb of RAM used while service is idle), and once you do install the software, you’ll probably need to restart your computer to have full functionality (you’ll also need to do this with every software update usually.) I’m only writing this because this happens almost weekly and I’m tired of dealing with it because they want to presumably scoop your data and bog your system with this garbage when you just want to use your device. Buy literally anything else, the hardware isn’t worth the software, I wholeheartedly regret this purchase, I’ll stick to Logitech when this finely crafted mouse finally dies and I can burn the iCue software in the Recycle Bin where it so deservedly belongs.

Os leds são personalizáveis, como acontece em outras marcas, o mouse desliza muito bem nos mouse pads convencionais e gamers e é bem confortável. O ponto negativo é o software de controle, é pouco intuitivo, o que demanda um certo tempo para pegar as manhas do mesmo. Outra coisa que esqueci de mencionar é que o mouse consegue armazenar até 3 configurações no próprio mouse e vc pode utilizar as suas configs em outra máquina sem a necessidade de instalar o software para funcionar as suas configs como acontece em alguns outros mouses

    The reason I bought it is because it looked pretty and I had heard of Corsair before, so it’s not like it was some no name brand. Soon after I bought it, I began having issues with it. The software is an absolute nightmare. It is not user friendly at all. Just to program the number keys on the side of the mouse, I had to watch a 15 minute video cause I couldn’t figure it out myself. I have owned several gaming mice and the software was easy to use, so it’s not like I’m some novice when it comes to software for gaming related devices. The terrible software I could live with would be fine, since after all I did eventually figure it out, but the main issue is that the software (iCUE) has glitches that cause the mouse to turn off randomly, which is extremely annoying if you’re playing a game. I have died in game countless times as a result. Now I could chalk it up to a faulty product, which happens, but if you go on Corsair forums or on the subreddit, there’s countless posts all complaining about the same thing. I would not recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a reliable gaming mouse. The software is bad, and makes the mouse nearly unusable for gaming. The only positives about this mouse are that it looks very pretty, and the build quality is quite good. But overall it’s not a good mouse and I will not be buying another Corsair mouse again.

    The mouse works fine. I find its macro capabilities above and beyond that of the competition. The problem I have with this product is that the box for the mouse (not the shipping box) was open and creased. The inside cardboard that held the mouse in place was torn. My guess would be that someone else bought and returned this product for whatever reason and the shipping center just sold it again as new. The idea of getting an used mouse despite paying for a new one just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I’m not happy but at the same time not upset enough to return the mouse because it works fine.

    I enjoy the multitude of features this mouse has and how it integrates with my Corsair keyboard. I the iCue software can crash randomly, but is mostly stable. I had this mouse for about 1.5 years when the scrolling stopped functioning. A portion of the wheel had sheered off in the rotational sensor(see attached image). I’m currently in the RMA process to have it replaced as it has a two year warranty(I think, could not fund supporting documents online).

    Hardware:
    It has nice feel on your hand.
    The buttons take some time to get used with but once you do it is great.
    One minus is the mouse contact with the pad. Needs regular cleaning to make it smooth (never had that feeling with other mouse).
    Also the scroll makes sounds as if it has been used for decades and it has been only few months.

    But software is so frustratingly bugged that I sometimes wont to throw this mouse out of the window.
    There are 3 junk profiles stored in the mouse which you CANNOT ever delete (they always come back)!
    And for some reason mouse keeps switching the profile to one of those junk profiles and is causing some major frustration!
    Also up until the software launches the settings of the mouse are by default (low DPI) and this is very unpleasant if you happen to use KVM with multiple computers and switch them around often.
    This happens because the PC is asleep and when switched it awakes and takes time for the iCUE to launch and apply profile settings.
    The button remap is another pain but once you have it done it is a relief I don’t have to use it anymore!

    Overall I am disappointed!
    I hope the iCUE gets improved soon because this is just intolerable.

    Update:
    Software issues fixed and now working a lot better!
    Only the scroll scratchy sounds are left to annoy me but is no a biggy.

    + Fits into a wide variety of grips thanks to adjustable parts on the mice
    ++MMO side buttons, which if you can get used to, give you a serious advantage in reactions by not having to distract your other hand with the number keys
    + Great quality and weightiness, but light enough to not drag itself down by being a wired mouse
    -ICUE can be a complete disaster of a program at rare times and tends to crash occasionally out of the blue. (Not necessary to keep program on if you bind settings to your hardware first thing)

    Like the title says, it literally just works. I’ve bought multiple mice over the years as a testament to what is good for me to use on the daily. Razer, LogitechG, Asus ROG, Corsair, the whole lot. This is hands down the mouse you want to get as a gamer just purely for functionality at being an mmo mouse, no gimmicky features included

    This mouse works wonders. Extremely customizable with CUE2 software. 3 onboard hardware profiles helps a lot when you change from multiple computers and laptops like me. Complements my Corsair K95 Platinum. 10/10. Although, is it worth it compared to the non-Pro Corsair Scimitar? My opinion is no. The $20 for extra DPI is not worth it. You don’t need more than 8000DPI except under certain circumstances like using multiple 4K monitors at once.

    Used a Razer Death Adder mouse for years, that thing was a work horse. I tried the Razer Naga but absolutely could not get used to the bank of buttons and ended up giving it away. Most recently was using a Steel Series Rival 300, which was fine, but I’m a claw gripper and my fingertips ended up way too far back on the mouse and it felt inefficient and sometimes my hand got achy. (I’ve since read reviews that it’s better suited for palm grippers; should have read review before buying it, haha.) ANYWAY, regarding the Corsair Scimitar Pro – I’m determined to transition to more keybinding and macros in game and decided to try the MMO type mouse again, and I read that this one is good for claw grips because it has a higher back-end hump (under the palm) and is s bit shorter over all for a claw grip. I have long hands for a woman and prefer a larger mouse generally, and this one is proving so far to feel great under the hand – the slightly more bulbous back end helps anchor it a bit in the hand. I’ve adjusted the sliding button bank to suit my thumb position, and it’s a good fit. My only hesitation thus far is that your thumb by default rests on the buttons and I’m nervous about pressing one or more accidently while generally using the mouse, though I admit that this hasn’t actually happened, so that might be just me not being used to them being there yet. Also the top of the mouse is a bit slippery but I expect that to go away as the normal skin oils do their thing (at least I hope.) Unlike my Steel Series which slid around on my big steel desk like a cow on ice skates (had to buy a pad to even use it) – this mouse adjusted itself and works equally welI on the smooth steel or the rubberized fabric mouse pad. I’ve also not had issues with lift, I adjusted the lift in the software and it’s been fine. I’ve seen one or two comments on the build quality, but that has not been my experience with this product or Corsair in general. I’m not a bargain buyer, price is rarely the driver in my choices (drives hubs nuts!), and I’ve returned to Corsair as a brand several times now for PC components, my keyboard and now this mouse. I’ve never had any issues with quality or performance from their stuff. Lastly, I like the fun lighting options because I’m a nerd, and the understated design & logo because I’m a middle-age woman with a normal job who would feel stupid with giant glowing skulls and equipment that looks like transformer toys.

    I use this for all of my gaming. The keypad on the side feels amazing with the mechanical keys. The iCue software makes for incredible customization and macroing. I highly recommend this mouse for any serious gamer.
