I decided to buy the keyboard on sale and refurbished hopefully it would be good it looks nice it has a pass though feels clean and they sent me an email the second I bought it.
I made sure to get it from CORSAIR OUTLET you would think they would check their products but I guess not W would get stuck and spacebar would also.
I wish I could keep it its really nice but not in this condition if I’m using it for gaming
Note: I found it being a very very common problem with this keyboard. I would shell about a bit more money for a higher end one and always buy new.

I have other keyboards at much higher price ranges. This matches the quality of those. There is very little to no deck flex and the heft of it means it doesn’t move on my desk. The keys are not RGB but the red LEDs can be dimmed or turned off. For the price I would recommend this over just about any other keyboard unless RGB is important to you. The Cherry MX blue switches are a joy to type on.

Nice, heavy and durable. Red light is super bright and very easy to see in the dark. It comes with the gray keys separate from the keyboard but a key popper is supplied to assist on removing the black key to install the gray if you like. Lettering is nice and big on the keys. Very nice clicking sound off of the mechanical keyboard. I will update this review with the first sign of any issues but I am extremely pleased with this keyboard so far.

The Corsair strafe is amazing for its price point and the fact that this is a refurbished model for lower is even better. The keyboard comes with Cherry MX Blues which are clicky mechanical keys that have a 5g needed for actuation. The keys only actuate when you press the key and it clicks meaning you have to fully release the key in order to press again. This can be annoying for when you are playing games and you are accustomed to linear keys.
However I bought this keyboard for typing and for some light gaming. In that aspect the keyboard performed amazingly with decent travel distance. However I am very picky about my keycaps and didn’t really like the font in the keycaps. Keep in mind Corsair uses a non standard layout for its bottom row so you can’t replace those with other keycaps.
The keyboard performs well but if your keyboard has defects when you receive it, you can just contact Corsair through their customer support page and a get a replacement or professional help.

If you do research you will see that everyone agrees that the MX blues are pretty loud. That is definitely true and I would not take this anywhere public.. Even if i had a roommate in the next room that might be a problem at night time. They do not feel as smooth as MX speeds but totally different design. Happy with the keyboard overall

Keyboard was in immaculate shape for a refurbished model. Zero cosmetic or obvious mechanical defects, until I started to use the keyboard. For the first few days I had no problem with typing. Then around the 4th day, various random keys started to double type characters for a single keystroke, like ee, 22, and many others. I spoke to Corsair since I had installed the Cue keyboard software, and confirmed that the keyboard should operate fine without it, as I had been doing. Then I installed Cue on purpose to update the keyboard firmware, and then kept Cue running. The double character problem however, continued, so I am returning the keyboard. I have a bought brand new Corsair K70 Lux and have had it for over a year with zero problems. Both this refurb Strafe and my K70 have Cherry MX blues. The go-keyboard.com reviews are filled with comments of double character typing for both the brand new and refurb keyboards. I would not buy another Corsair refurb keyboard again unless I had some other guarantees that this would not happen again.

I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. The keyboard is in excellent condition and it is working just fine. There’s no cosmetic damage of any kind and it looks brand new for being a refurbished keyboard. If you are looking for a mechanical keyboard for less, getting a refurbished keyboard is the way to go.
