I got the retro non backlit hot swappable with keychron browns. Out of the box, sounds and feels pretty bad. The sound might not bother you if alone but if you need to work around people, you’ll need a different keyboard or mod this one. The ping was very very noticeable and annoying.
I went the modification route, and this thing was a complete pain to open up. Blood was drawn. I broke two of the plastic tabs and now it slightly bulges at the side. My fault I guess. Tough either way. Once I filled the case with a bit of rubber and foam, band-aided the some stabilizers, and changed my most used keys to quieter and better switches, the keyboard feels and sounds good. And looks retro and I love it. Just had to work for it.
If you want to modify it, it’s a nice base. Getting it apart was a nightmare, but doable. If you want a good keyboard right out of the box, maybe you’ll like this one, maybe not.

This Keychron mechanical keyboard is one of the best keyboards I have ever used. The keys have a very solid feel and are very tactile. There is a nice mechanical click, but it’s not super loud. I love mechanical keyboards, and Keychron makes some of the best.

Excellent keyboard. Highly recommend. Very sensitive touch. Very comfortable typing. Can really type double the speed on this.

Undeniably sturdy, with a pleasant thock-y rich reverberation to it. No “click”, smooth soft Brown linear switches just like I prefer. The retro colorway is great too, definitely a conversation starter. This is my first foray into Keychron products, and I like it well enough that I’ll be picking up a wireless Keychron model next to expand my collection.

I’ve had this keyboard for a while now and it’s been great. I wanted something to use at work that wasn’t a boring dell keyboard and this matches really well with my love for retro looking stuff. I have zero complaints and the fact you can swap out the switches is nice if I decide to do that one day.

I have gone through a good amount of keyboards in my time, from membrane to mechanical. This is a no-frills keyboard, with a nice 90’s office color palette. The key sounds good, the pressure needed is not too much or too little. The packaging is nice, secure, and nice included key pullers, plus alternative cmd keys for Macs. Overall, at its price point, you’d expect it be light, full of unnecessary RGB, and prone to breaking, but so far I am satisfied and would order again.

Structurally the keyboard is very solid. It has a nice tactile feel when typing. I appreciate that it’s USB-C and comes with a USB adapter. The keyboard comes with keycaps for Apple and windows and a key cap polar. I appreciate the keyboard was very well packed and came with plenty of documentation on how to use the functions. I definitely recommend this product and brand. Compared to other keyboards, this is a great value for what you’re getting. I love the retro look. It pairs well with my minimalistic looking desk.
