    Finally got hands on my keyboard and I must say this gadget has beat all my expectations. Great heft, feels very sturdy and premium works as advertised and a great value for the price. My only complaint, and the reason I gave only 4 stars is I didn’t receive a set of replaceable keys for windows as it said in the box (could have been a mixup). I would recommend this to anyone interested in customizing their workspace … it’s a beautiful keyboard and the sound is so satisfying!

    I’ve tried many, many mechanical keyboards, and all of them had some major drawback that left a bad taste in my mouth: weird key layouts, poor travel, connectivity issues, etc. The Keychron K1 SE is the only one that I’ve been happy sticking with for the past few months now. The layout is great, my brown switches feel awesome, and it all just works, simply and easily. Updating the firmware was a breeze as well. As others have said, the battery life could be better, but that tends to be the case for most wireless keyboards, so I can’t really fault the Keychron there. It really is just a fantastic keyboard, especially for the price.

    I’ve been using this keyboard (K1SEA2 model) for nearly 2 years and can only state that connectivity (both Bluetooth AND CABLE) is so unpredictable that I ened up getting the more expensive Logitech one for reliable connectivity. For the reasons unknown, the keyboard suddenly wouldn’t connect whether via bluetooth AND cable. This is more so when you’ve been out travelling and have not connected for a while. This keyboard sits in my office and never went thru any spills and abuses cuz I also use it with a keyboard skin to shield it from dusts. When working properly, this keyboard is exactly the keyboard that I need. Right size, great typing feel, small footprint, comforable low profit and etc. I previously purchased K10 full size keyboard before from Keychron before and worked really well which is why I purchased this model. However, this keyboard gave me a totally opposite experience. With the K10 purhcase/use, my trust in the brand skyrocketed but after this unit, I will no longer invest in lesser known brands. It’s a shame cuz this would has the potential to be one of the best mechanical low profile bluetooth keyboard out there.

    Keychron’s tech support was tedious when I contacted them about issues I had with a previous keyboard, the K1. After a few emails, they did not answer my questions, nor did they resolve an issue I had with that keyboard causing my external monitor to shut off whenever I plugged the keyboard into the computer. They seemed more eager to know what my order number was than to offer a fixable solution. So, Keychron gets 2 stars for tech support.

    Having said that, this K1 SE keyboard, has a great feel to it. I am currently using it with the Gateron Brown switches. The overall feel, accuracy, and the sound the keys make when I type, are great. It reminds me of the ease of typing I used to experience with mechanical keyboards in the 1990s.

    The keys offer good travel and require just the right amount of force to type.

    The only thing I wish it had was the angled, 90-degree, cable. It would have been a better fit.

    Very lightweight, space saving, and comfortable to type with. Only issue it falls in power saving mode too fast, and you need to wake it up. I believe this is adjustable, I just don’t have time to look at it yet
