- The redesigned low-profile keychron optical switch is 40% slimmer than conventional switches with a shorter pre-travel and total travel distance that triggers an input and feedback faster than conventional/normal-profile mechanical switches. Together with the reinforced aluminum body and SGCC galvanized steel plate added to the plastic bottom frame, make the K7 one of the thinnest yet durable wireless mechanical keyboards on the market.
- You can easily hot-swap every low-profile optical switch without soldering to customize your typing experience on the K7 (*This keyboard is NOT compatible with any conventional MX style mechanical switch). The pre-installed low-profile optical brown switch provides unrivaled tactile responsiveness with up to 70 million keystroke lifespan.
- Be ready to multitask without missing a beat by connecting the K7 with up to 3 devices via the stable Broadcom Bluetooth 5.1 chipset and switch between your laptop, PC, tablet and phone seamlessly. It also has wired mode with USB Type-C connection.
- With a unique Mac layout, the K7 has all the necessary Mac multimedia keys while still being compatible with Windows. Extra keycaps for both Windows and Mac operating systems are included.

I type all day, and finding a good keyboard is crucial. This keyboard has shorter travel than the low-profile keyboard I’ve been using. I needed a bit of time to adjust, but I’m really loving the whole experience. I love the design and its compactness, too. I played around other switches, and so far, I like brown and banana switches. 65% layout was always my favorite, but depending on the brand, different keys would be missing, so I made sure that it has my necessary keys. The lighting (White LED) might not be that bright and fancy compared to other keyboards, but it has enough pattern to choose from.

I use a HyperX alloy TKL with red switches, but bought the Keychron K7 as a 2nd keyboard for use with my iPad and absolutely love it. I was considering K7, K3 and the Nuphy air75, but went for the K7 as I liked the look better and there was a special going on. I bought the one with the brown switches which worked well, but I am used to red switches for coding and so changed all the switches to red switches.
Bluetooth works great switching between my Windows/Mac and Ipad without any issues. There is a slight lag of about 3 seconds or so if the keyboard is in power saving mode (which happens after about 10 minutes of inactivity), but this never bothered me.
I love this keyboard and will recommend it to anyone that needs a smaller lighter keyboard to carry around.

This keyboard is really great as a wired keyboard but the Bluetooth sleep mode is horrible. Takes forever to wake your computer because the keyboard is sleeping. Honestly, I can’t stand to use it as a Bluetooth keyboard. I’ve been using magic keyboards for the last five years and otherwise I really love this one. The optical browns have such a satisfying kachunk to them. I wish the layout matched the magic keyboard so that my muscle memory isn’t thrown off when I go between laptop and the Keychron though. The space bar is way too big and I’m constantly hitting it when going for other keys. Wish they would make more wired keyboards for less money but that isn’t really they thing most people want. Which I don’t want either. But if you want an RGB backlighting you’re going to have to make some concessions.

fits nicely on the desk, and compact enough to leave the desk clutter free.
as a programmer, it still has the more important keys within reach (home, del etc).
In addition to that, it has 3x bluetooth connectivity, so if you need to switch between your work setup and your personal set up, you don’t need to go through the hassle of BT pairing each time. Just hit the hotkey to switch, and you are good to go.
I will say the smaller layout does take a little bit of time getting used to, since the key size itself is not as big as full size keyboards

This keyboard is great. I purchased the one with Brown switches.
I decided to go looking for a keyboard for my office because my work laptop’s keyboard is a steaming pile of garbage. Unfortunately my desk space is fairly limited and I work close to others. So my usual kayboard size and clicky switches were out. The Browns on the K7 are very quite. There must be some sort of sounds dampener in the body of the keyboard. And the 65% is great. I do miss the number pad every now and then, but with my limited desk space, I like the smol size more than the number pad.
I haven’t used this wirelessly much. But I didn’t experience any dropout or weirdness compared to just using the cable. Also (looking at a few other reviews) if you’re having trouble waking up your keyboard, you can prevent the keyboard from going to sleep. It’s one of the first things in the documentation. You just need to make sure that you’re turning the keyboard off when you’re not using it.

I bought this to use for work to minimize clutter on my desk, and I can say for sure that I love the size feel and sound of the keyboard, the lighting and the switches. I got this on sale at 70 dollars and it was totally worth it, however I dont think I would purchase it at full price.
Hotswappable switches are also nice, I got it with the banana ones which I really like, but I might try some of the others as well.

Muy cómodo y útil. La posibilidad de sincronizar con hasta tres dispositivos ayuda muchísimo si tienes más de una compu. La batería dura una semana con un uso diario de apróx. 10 h. Y se carga en menos de 2h.

I bought a mechanical keyboard for its sound and feel–the K7 (or the K3) failed on both categories. I don’t get why the K7 or K3 get rave reviews online. Its sound is mush and I have tried many different switches such as the blue, banana, brown, and red. All sounded mush except for the blue. And the blue is annoyingly clicky. The Logitech MX keys and even Apple Magic Keyboard sound and feel way better than the Keychron K7 or K3. The best low profile mechanical keyboard that lives up to the hype is the Nuphy Air75, hands down, no debate whatsoever.
