- With QMK and VIA Support: Keychron K8 Pro allows anyone to remap any key, and create macro commands, shortcuts, or combination keys through VIA. Simply connect the K8 Pro to your device with a cable, drag and drop your favorite keys or macro commands to remap any key you want on any system (macOS, Windows, or Linux). Note: User can remap a key on wired mode only. Once it’s done, the keymap will work on both wireless and wired modes.
- Supports Wireless and Wired Mode: You can connect the K8 Pro with up to 3 devices wirelessly via its stable Broadcom Bluetooth 5.1 for seamless multitasking across your laptop, phone, and tablet. Switch among them swiftly, and it’s fully compatible with both Mac and Windows. The K8 Pro can last up to 100 hours (at lowest brightness) with a 4000 mAh big battery, which is one of the biggest in mechanical keyboards. It also has wired mode with USB Type-C connection.
- Hot-swappable Support: With the pre-lubed mechanical tactile brown switch providing unrivaled tactile responsiveness with up to 50 million keystroke lifespan. You can also hot-swap the K8 Pro with almost all of the 3pin and 5pin MX mechanical switches on the market (including Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, Panda, etc.) without soldering required. The PCB-mounted screw-in stabilizer for “big keys” such as space bar, shift, enter, and delete are designed for less wobbliness and smooth performance.
- Upgraded Typing Experience: The K8 Pro has been re-engineered and redesigned from the inside out to upgrade the typing experience. The added sound-absorbing foam, a thick silicone dampening bottom pad, and steel plate provide responsive feedback and a peaceful typing sound. The south-facing white backlight is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle and it comes with double-shot PBT keycaps that aim to provide a more comfortable fingertip feel and excellent oil resistance.

So disappointed. This is the perfect keyboard, all it needed was north facing leds. South facing leds are literally useless because they cannot light up the lettering on shine through keycaps. The RGB actually makes it harder to see the keys at night, so its strictly for wasting battery while looking like an idiot… Keychron, make it north facing leds. I don’t care if that means you cannot swap out with as many switch types or whatever the reasoning is. Those switch types need to adapt and flip their design or die off for the sake of common sense progress…

I was genuinely surprised by how nice this keyboard is. Good key caps, quality switches, robust base plate… and this thing is heavy. It’s the kind of weight you associate with high quality. It can be plugged into the computer via USB or Bluetooth and was very easy to set up. Does it have RGB? No, but I prefer the subtle white back-lighting. The battery life is also impressive. I’ve only had to charge it once on the few months I’ve had it, and i use it every day. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone, not just someone on a budget.

I researched many keyboards and was able to try several, thanks to go-keyboard.com’s returns policy. This mechanical wireless (or wired) keyboard blows away everything else. It’s compact, with full size keys that have a wonderful click sound and feel when typing. Easy setup, Bluetooth that is reliable, good instructions, and overall a wonderful experience. Highly recommend. You’ll never go back to boring old keyboards!
