  • The Q2 Max is a full metal QMK/VIA wireless customized mechanical keyboard. Combines advanced 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and Type-C wired connectivity, and enhances workspace efficiency with a 65% layout. Features QMK/VIA key remapping, a 1000 Hz polling rate (on 2.4 and wired modes), PBT keycaps, and more for that premium thock feel.
  • Program any key with QMK/VIA – QMK / VIA is open-source software for keyboards that allows anyone to easily program and remap each key or macro (incl. the knob) on macOS, Windows, or Linux. Please download the appropriate keymap JSON file, open VIA, turn on “Show Design tab” on “Settings” tab, and drag the JSON file into the “Design” tab on VIA to get the Q2 Max keymap working on VIA.
  • 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth Connection – The 2.4 GHz wireless and wired connection boasts a rapid 1000 Hz polling rate. You can also connect the Q2 Max with up to 3 devices via a stable Bluetooth 5.1 for seamless multitasking.
  • The entire metal body is crafted with 6063 aluminum that is CNC machined, polished, sandblasted, and undergoes 24 more manufacturing stages to make this solid metal piece of art.

    I got the Linear one after searching a lot. This is one of my Dream keyboard and it feels so good to type on. I really see a good productivity jump as I couldn’t stop myself typing on it.
    Usually on my previous Keychron K2 my typing speeds were 65-70 WPM but on this just in few days I was able to reach 80-85!

    ***Updated*** I received a new keyboard and it works as designed. I swapped out the Gateron Banana Yellow switches for Gateron’s Baby Kangaroo 2.0s and the feel and sound has been improved. The stabilizers need a bit of lube to get them sounding less pingy/metallic. Otherwise a great keyboard. ***Original Review*** The keyboard wouldn’t come on when first received. I plugged it up and couldn’t use it in cable mode. I let it charge for about 45 minutes and still it had no juice. I decided to plug it into my phone’s USB-C charger and it instantly lit up like a Christmas tree. I then moved it right back to the original charger and it remained lit and completely charged. Once charging was completed, I tried to use it but random keys would just get stuck making it completely useless. I then went to update the firmware, hoping that would be a simple fix. The current firmware version was nothing, as in the spot for the firmware version was just blank. I went through the update and tried again and keys still randomly get stuck. I’m typing this on a Q1 Max w/brown switches, which works perfectly but just doesn’t sound or feel as good as the little brother. I’m going to order another Q2 Max, in hopes that the other was just an unlucky lemon. I will update this review after receiving the new keyboard.

    This is the best keyboard I’ve owned. It wouldn’t hesitate recommending this even though there are less expensive alternatives.

    It’s heavy, keys are smooth and the finishing is flawless. The only improvement might be needed would be maybe a (1) smoothet connection to Via but event that’s pretty painless too once you download the file for the keyboard (2) better alt button+ command button for Mac/Windows use and (3) matching functions key labels that match the Via software

    As described and did not disappoint. Stock alone the sound is nice given the build with a polycarbonate plate, which is what I prefer.

    Keycaps are doubleshot PBT in KSA profile. I ordered the gateron red which are okay but will be replacing them with a tactile that I prefer.

    Can be connected via wire, dongle or bluetooth.

    I had high hopes for the Keychron Q2 Max, but it was underwhelming. The key switches felt clunky, and the actuation was not as smooth as other mechanical keyboards I’ve used. The Bluetooth connection is unstable, constantly disconnecting during use, which is incredibly frustrating when gaming. It also doesn’t work well with Mac, despite being marketed as such. The customizable RGB lighting is pretty, but that’s about the only positive aspect of this keyboard. The build quality feels cheap for the price. I expected something more durable and responsive, but this keyboard didn’t meet my expectations at all.
