   The keyboard does just fine. I know what I paid for. What’s hard for me to understand is how did two components, one that would’ve gone into my motherboard, have corrosion on them? The package was properly sealed, sure. But to my surprise, a rusty, used Allen key got in, as well as a USB adapter. Everything else was fine, but if you guys are Keychron are gonna be switching old stuff for new, don’t put the old stuff in your product, and put it in the garbage next time.

   This keyboard is everything I wanted! Hot swappable, gasket mount and very solidly built with a knob.

   The only issues I’ve experienced is with the QMK programming features. Connecting with VIA worked initially, but it eventually reset itself and forgot all of my presets. Additionally, it would fail to save the config to a text file so I had to set it up all over again.

   I later found some instructions online to do a full reset and reinstall of the firmware, and it seems to have fixed all the previous issues. So I’d recommend doing this once before starting to configure the board.

   Otherwise no problems! Great quality at a high price.

   I received the package and found scratches on the black metal finish as well as the switch foam not properly seated flush and as a result covered the switch slots. Overall not a great experience. Other than that everything worked for a while

   It’s a little pingy out of the box, and the included foam is quite thin and not that great. But after some modifications and new sound dampener, I got this to sound pretty great.

   This is my first Keychron, but it is the best keyboard case I’ve ever purchased. It is very hefty, which gives it a very premium feel. Flex is just right and the stock stabilizers are surprisingly good. I’ll definitely be looking at Keychron again for my next keeb project.

   Used many different switches with Cerakey custom ceramic key caps and they all felt great. Good stabilizers. The best part is the weight, this thing does not move on my desk and I love it.

   I love the sound and feel of this keyboard. I put some Baby Kangaroo and Milky Yellow switches in this and both sound exceptional. The feel is very satisfying. I’m no expert by any means on custom keyboards, but this seems like a great starter for someone who wants to get into this hobby as I just have.

   Tons of youtubers, in videos completely unrelated to their girlfriends and wives, say that the Keychron Q2 is the board they give to their cherished ones. Anyone gifting things to a woman knows that this sort of praise is unheard of, so I immediately considered it as a birthday present for my girlfriend. I can only assume that keyboard reviewers give this keyboard the praise it gets because of its unmatched build quality, comfortable typing experience, tasteful white space around the keys, two extra keys on the left for the two function and nav keys she actually uses, the knob, and because of how dead easy it is to set up for someone or even let them set up for themselves. I easily taped, polyfilled, modded the stablizers, and padded this keyboard in less than a few hours; it took far more time to lube and film the switches than it did to fully modify the board. Sounds good stock too if you don’t care for modding. It also comes with a ton of foam and some extra gaskets in case you want to upgrade the included plate to FR4 or something. I built the board with T1s and the doggie caps from KFA and it sounds absolutely stunning. Off go-keyboard.com it’s a bit of a rip off to buy this board unbuilt, since the caps and switches cost only $20 more, but if you want to bring out the best sound this board can produce I strongly recommend putting some high quality linear or tactile switches into it and doing some mods while it’s already unbuilt. It really is the perfect board to gift someone.
