With its full metal CNC machined body, double-gasket design, and QMK/VIA support, the Q5 is the ultimate choice for an almost full-size keyboard.
  • Fully Customizable From the Inside Out: To build a fully customizable keyboard, we designed every component easily assembled, including keycaps, switches, gasket, plate, and case foam if you want. With QMK and VIA support, you can easily program and remap each key on the keyboard. The open-source firmware means endless possibilities for keyboard layouts, shortcuts, backlight effects, even the knob, and more.
  • Hot-swappable Support: With the pre-lubed Gateron G Pro mechanical linear red switch providing unrivaled tactile responsiveness with up to 50 million keystroke lifespan. You can also hot-swap the Q5 with almost all of the 3pin and 5pin MX mechanical switches on the market (including Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, Panda, etc.) without soldering required. The PCB-mounted screw-in stabilizer for “big keys” such as space bar, shift, enter, and delete are designed for less wobbliness.
  • Innovative Double Gasket: This Double-Gasket Structure allows the keyboard to maintain the flexibility of the gasket structure and improves the overall typing sound. We added silicone pads between the top and bottom cases to significantly reduce the sound resonance between the metals and reduce the noise of the impacted metals.
  • Double-shot PBT Keycaps & South-facing Backlight: The Q5 comes with our unique OSA profile and double-shot PBT keycaps that aim to provide a more comfortable and subtle fingertip feel with excellent oil resistance for long-term use. The south-facing RGB is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle and free from interference when the user installs Cherry- profile alternative keycaps on the Q5.

    Great keyboard! I love the heft of this thing and the clicky clacky it makes! It has a nice program that you can change any key to suit your macro needs which is great for me as a self-employed small business owner! I always need open the calculator, new tabs, etc… it is great! The photos don’t do justice either.. they make the navy bezel look almost plastic but in reality its a nice beautiful aluminum sparkly navy blue. Much better than the generic white or black versions in my opinion! It’s so HEAVY!! It is shocking how heavy it is. One thing that I wish it offered was stock keycaps that have the light go through the top so you can see the keys easily at night.. this is not a deal breaker however and I have no regrets so far with it! My only regret is I didn’t know about these sooner! I was on the fence between this Keychron and a AKKO model… we compared them at a local MicroCenter and realized that the AKKO was MUCH lighter weight and just didn’t seem like it had the quality that the Keychron has. We also bought the numpad by Keychron the Q0 and intend to not only use it as a numpad, but also a complete Macro Pad. So versatile, love both our newly acquired Keychron keyboard and numpad!
