I had a cheaper black KeyChron before this. I’ve tried other brands, had a long history with Logitech before seeking greener grass. This keyboard is absolutely well built – it’s a tank. The color scheme is easy on the eyes (white/gray version), and the banana switches are EXACTLY what I was seeking. Tactile, but not “clicky” like blue switches or even the Kailh whitesI had before. Way better than browns.
Unfortunately, I have to keep it on cable mode plugged in, because the 2.4g wireless mode has an awful ghosting problem wherein keys continue to feedback even when they’re not pressed anymore. I’ve had things like 10 newlines when coding even though I hit enter once, stuck strafing in game play in either direction, even after letting go of the relevant keys, etc.
Also, the Via/Qmk stuff is really f’in annoying. I never thought I’d wish for proprietary device management software before…

Bought this as my first mechanical keyboard and wasn’t sure if it was right for me. The keys are very tall and the keyboard itself is very heavy. Plus the price point is on the high end. I quickly found myself really enjoying typing on it. Keys have a satisfying touch and sound, but not too loud. The more I use it, the more I love it. The knob is a nice and useful feature. Wireless connection is easy to set up and works great. Would recommend to anyone looking for a high quality multi device wireless keyboard.

I bought this to replace an old Das Pro4 mechanical for the office and I’m really impressed. The thing is heavy and solid, the keys are excellent, and it sounds amazing.
Not worried about the noise in an open office.
I have several other high end custom keyboards and straight out the box this is excellent. They did a really good job with this keyboard.
I wouldn’t plan on traveling with it because it is very heavy.
It is very expensive for a keyboard, but if it’s something you are going to use nearly everyday I think it’s a worthwhile investment.

Super high quality keyboard. Best part is, all the switches and key caps are hot swappable. So you can tweak it to your liking. The software is great for programming. I got the one with the Brown switches. It is a dream to type on. I might swap the switches for some Kalih Brown silents but I am in no rush as its very quiet.

Great feel, great typing experience, solid build.
However, one major flaw made it unusable for me: double tapping.
2-3 Weeks after I bought it, I started to see double spaces and some other keys double tapping.
As much as I wanted to like the keyboard, I cannot compromise on literally the first and foremost function of the keyboard, that is, actually typing what I want.
I had to return.
Otherwise (lol), amazing keyboard.

This keyboard was bought to replace a full-sized Leopold Keyboard I had used for years. While the Leopold was no slouch, the keychron q6 max is better for me in every way. Better dampening, switches, materials, you name it. This keyboard feels premium and types great right out of the box with the Gateron Jupiter Banana switches.
The only downside to this keyboard is its rather high sitting keyboard profile, particularly for the top row. I find that a wrist rest is a much-needed addition in order to avoid pain after typing for extending periods of time. Other than that, I am very much happy with my purchase.

Best Keyboard you can buy. Very happy with the Bluetooth connectivity and being able to connect up to Five Computers with the #3 blue tooth settings, #1 2.4Ghz dongle and #1 USB cable. Using the Red switches that sound and feel great while typing. Using it to type this Review. LED lighting looks great. The Weight and feel are what is most impressive. Very easy to use when switching from one computer to the next. This is my second Keyboard and both are working great..You will be very happy with the build quality and how it functions while typing.
