It’s a solid keyboard and you understand it better if you try other brands. Customizability is limited to Keychron’s own software but thankfully they forked the QMK repo so you can program it if needed. I did both but as I understood the dynamics better, I noticed I could go with only one option.

I wasn’t happy with the default switches (<50 force) because I was making too many accidental inputs. Replaced them with something with ~60 and it’s much better now.

Also, mod tap has a slight delay but it’s far less than I had on other brands, so after getting used to, it’s alright.

I liked the Alice layout and other feats so much that I purchased a Keychron V8 Max for portability as it’s a compact version of this. Keychron is expensive but set your expectations if you choose to save money because a lot of cheaper brands are compromising on things that Keychron doesn’t.

This is a solidly built keyboard. I am using it with a 13″ iPad Air and find it’s a great setup for writing. It is very comfortable to type on due to the key switches, solid chassis and the Alice layout.
