   My first mechanical keyboard and this thing is amazing! I can’t go back to regular keyboards anymore as they just don’t feel the same. The response on the keys are amazing, but the click clacking sound may annoy some but it doesn’t bother me much. The responsiveness of the keys are nothing like what I’ve used before. I used the Logitech G15 previously and it’s a big difference between the two. My only gripe is after a few short months my D key is starting to fade. I think it may have been a manufaturer’s defect as i noticed a small bump of paint on that key when i first got it. Not a big deal if i’m not looking at the key but it’s pretty ugly now that more and more of it is coming off. 🙁 You can see the key in the picture i posted. EDIT: After 9 more months of regular daily use my D key has actually gotten worse, however the other remaining keys are perfectly fine. I think it was just a defect on that one key. Other than that it’s still working great! Update: Aug 4th 2015. I’m changing my review to 5 stars. I called Logitech about the issue and they actually replaced the key for me free of charge! Love the customer service! The only thing i had to do was get a key cap remover on my own for a few bucks on go-keyboard.com but it was real easy to pop right off.

   Wow, I’ve had this keyboard for about a month, and I still go nuts over it every day, it’s the best mechanical keyboard I have ever used, the backlit is beautiful, and while I’m on that topic, there is also zone lights, there are two options, wasd and the up, down, side to side keys are lit, and everything else is lit, which is great for some people, and people such as myself, who probably will never use that feature. It uses they Cherry MX Brown key, with an actuation force of 45g, and gives a tactile response, as it says. It comes with a detachable hand rest, which works as intended, but for $120, I was hoping for something better, but it works, and that’s ok. It has 6 macro keys that you can customize for different games. The cable isn’t braided which, kind of sucks. There is a usb outlet in the keyboard, which is an amazing feature, because my mouse cable is short, and this helps that a lot. I love heavy things, and this keyboard is that, it isn’t like a little membrane keyboard and weighs half an ounce, I believe it weighs 4.6 pounds. It has a 26 key rollover, meaning you can press 26 keys at a time, and the keyboard won’t freak out. The build quality is another thing that is amazing about it, the keyboard ramps, will never break, WHICH I WORSHIP. Every keyboard I have ever owned, its keyboard ramps broke within the first month, but I tried to break them, and they didn’t. The keyboard works amazingly in both the typing department, and the gaming department, as you can feel the difference between a crappy membrane keyboard and a mechanical keyboard.    I’m using the keyboard right now doing this review. I have been a typist for almost a decade and I have been using keyboards from Logitech ever since, from wired to wireless. Didn’t really have any problems from them. Not until now, not until my first foray into the mechanical keys. As you can see from the picture, third row of letter says C, V, B, C, M. I guess they have a lot of Cs in their stock and decided to give me an extra, and in the process forgot to place the letter N. The good news is that I don’t look at my keyboard when I’m typing. But Logitech G team, you had one job. It’s just ridiculous how you have made this error, how you missed this. That’s a three for me. Other than that, everything works fine. Love the MX Brown keys and the O rings and the backlit keys.

   I had high hopes for this mechanical keyboard. Out the blue, less than a year through the purchase, a key that was never used just broke off .. the G3 key …and strangely a neighbouring key G4 also displays some instability. I think what is happening is that these keys are held to the pin by a very thin tubelike thing as seen in the picture. And they develop cracks over time (even if the key is never used) and break off on their own. What a shame … it does feel great to use when it works. p.s. I am a very light typist and an occasional​ gamer.

   I purchased this back in 2014. Thought It is a durable keyboard since its a mechanical keys. Also, I considered myself not a heavy gamer since i mostly play mobile games. But after 2 years of light usage, The keycap of “A” broke and came loose, then i quickly went on Logitech’s support and found out the keyboard is still under warranty. So i submitted a warranty claim. After a day of submission, I still yet to hear from Logitech. I searched the forum and found out that there are people having the same issue and didn’t get a response for 8 days! This is unacceptable, i have never contact a support and receive no reply over 24 hours. Hopefully, i will get a response soon.

    Keyboard worked great but I had several keys that broke after LIGHT use. The left and right arrows, the left CTRL keycap and the spacebar, they all broke within one and a half year of use. For a keyboard this expensive, this is outrageous. I do not recommend it all. I had to buy keycaps from another store to use it as Logitech’s support service wanted me to DESTROY my keyboard and send them pics BEFORE they would send me a new keyboard! I pleaded with them that I would be more than happy to just receive replacement keys but they refused! Since I am in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, destroying the keyboard would be a major hassle to me. I would have to wait something like 4 months to receive a replacement and I would run the risk of having to pay 60% of a new keyboard in taxes. Even, after explaining this to them (like TEN times), they still refused to send me the broken keycaps. I am never buying anything from Logitech again. They lost a customer.     I really want to give this product a good review. It’s the first mechanical keyboard I’ve ever owned. I did a lot of research before finally deciding to purchase this product. The typing is just wonderful, so much better than the generic membrane keyboard I was using. The macro keys are awesome. You can define complex macros with the gaming software or even program them on the fly with the keyboard it self. The back lit leds are great in theory, but in reality they are not satisfying my expectations. The secondary icons such as # or ^ are not back lit. I feel like the manufacturer photo-shopped their images to mislead customers. My keyboard has a manufacturing defect where the leds under the 6, 7, 8 , and 9 keys are not as bright as the rest of the keyboard. It’s very distracting to look at in person. It’s like one of those things where nobody would probably notice but you, but then you can’t stop looking at it because you know it’s there. Since I’ve always been told Logitech customer support is awesome I contacted them about possibly getting a warranty replacement because the keyboard is defective. They replied with instructions on how to troubleshoot my “G710+ headset”. Not impressed at all. I’ll try calling their support line after the holidays but I’m not optimistic, I’ll probably just end up returning it to go-keyboard.com for another keyboard.

    I’ve had this keyboard since October of 2015 and have enjoyed it until recently the Page Up key stopped working. I purchased this keyboard was because I type a decent amount and use document editors a decent amount of the time as well as I am a PC gamer and wanted something with Cherry Brown switches that I didn’t have to assemble myself. I decided to crack open the keyboard for cleaning and upon examining the back side of the PCB, there are nearly a dozen solder pads not properly wet with solder, including the Page Up key pictured. There are also about a half dozen spots on the board where there is flux still on the board, indicating that other joints were found to not have enough solder and didn’t pass original Quality Assurance. It’s clear that this board was rushed out the door and they either had a policy to not fix anything that looked bad as long as the circuit was OK or that nobody ever looked at any of these painfully-undersoldered joints and thought that maybe while they were fixing 6 other spots that they should go ahead and hit those other 12 that looked like they could fail at any time. This is entirely unacceptable for a keyboard that was nearly $100 when I bought it in 2015. Last Logitech product I’m ever purchasing. I’m going to mod this keyboard with new keycaps and different LED’s and urge everyone I know to stay away from this horrible mess of a company. I will also be editing this review in a few days with better pictures. Right this second, though, I’m going to go ahead and solder this pad properly to get my Page Up key working again. I will take pictures of the other pads that still work but don’t have enough solder on them in a few days and modify this review with them.

    Okay, where to start.. The good: -So pretty. -Also the setup is really nice. I love the volume control button on the right hand corner. -I’m not a heavy gamer but the rigid feel of the keyboard is nice for when typing papers and browsing youtube. The Ugly: -A few keys had popped out of place in the shipping process and upon opening the box, they were sliding around in the bag. These popped back in place no problem but should have been a sign just to send the darn thing back. -I hadn’t even downloaded the software to program the keys G1-G6 and the G6 key has already broken. After looking at the other reviews, It looks like this has been common for the control button which is a huge concern for me as I use this often. -The main problem (and reason why you should skip this purchase is 100% due to the how the keys are made. As you can see in the photograph, the walls of the cross section is just too thin. I’m normally a heavy supporter of Logitech, but let’s face it here, you guys dropped the ball on this one.

    UPDATE: I guess this keyboard is not solid after all. After 1.5 years of use the Ctrl broke off (check attached image). I have changed my rating from 4 to 3 stars due to poor quality. Called Logitech support and they don’t replace keys and they have agreed to replace the whole keyboard but that means I have to send this back and wait for them to ship a new one to me. This was my G15 (version 2) replacement. I first bought the G19s and promptly returned it (what a piece of garbage). After 3 weeks of use, I can say the G710+ is a great, solidly built mechanical keyboard. My typing speed & accuracy has gone up slightly and I love typing on this keyboard. Personally, I think the difference between a mechanical keyboard and a membrane keyboard is kinda like driving a car with manual transmission vs. an automatic transmission. Sure there are some other great mechanical keyboard that are rated higher than the G710+ but most of them are super basic (no macro keys, no backlighting, very basic looking design). I think the G710+ stands out quite nicely if you want those extra features. The reason I give this 4 stars is because of 2 things. First, Logitech advertises this keyboard to have “Quiet mechanical keys” – this is not the case, this is a fairly noisy keyboard, especially the space bar. Secondly, there are some quality issues with the backlighting, many of the action keys like ENTER are not lit up fully, the sides are faded – something that is unacceptable for a $150 keyboard. Overall, I really like this keyboard and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great mechanical gaming keyboard with macros keys & backlighting.

    Love the keyboard – It’s just the right amount of mechanical, brown switches (lite click-clack and resistance-bump). – Head-phone cord channel… hell, ya. – Had my last one for a couple (3?) years and only two lights burnt out. – Biggest drawback is the ease the key-caps come off. My left alt key pops off regularly (my Disc-PTT key, odd I know). One side-effect of this was that on delivery… some assembly was required lol. A full 3/4 of the keys were de-posted. UPDATE: (leaving the original write up because i still love those good features, was 4 star) Unsure if it was a seller handling issue or the manufacturer using sub-par quality material (combination of the two?), but I have been finding a lot of the the key caps cracking and breaking on me (added a pic). Which is def. a contributing factor to the state i received this KB in (should’ve taken a pic). Combine that with the fact that Logitech doesn’t support this KB with their latest gaming software (so, I’d have to have two programs running to manage my mouse and KB) I will not be getting one of these again, prob. not going Logitech either. Glad I kept the old KB so i can replace the caps from that one.

    Don’t bother. I purchased this keyboard about 2 years ago on the dot, and every month that goes by more and more keys start popping off (because the cross shaped attachment appears to be cracking on them). Simple enough right? They have a 3 year warranty? Submitted RMA for this, customer service rep responded once asking for my address etc to send the replacements. I responded immediately, and that is where the communication ends. I have asked on a weekly basis for a status update on this RMA with zero response. There is a 20 page thread on Logitech’s forums regarding the poor quality of the key caps and how people are not getting responses for warranty replacements on this (https://forums.logitech.com/t5/Logitech-G-Keyboards/G710-broken-keys-from-normal-use-plastic-tops-Where-to-get/td-p/1075449). I have normally really enjoyed my Logitech products, but this has been an incredibly disappointing experience. If you have your heart set on buying this keyboard, make sure you add in the price of a full set of replacement key caps with it. A lot of keys are falling off now, even ones I rarely use.

    The thing about keyboards is that you need all the keys to be working. My left control keycap broke off after ordinary usage, and I called logitech about it. It looks like it’s a really common problem with the left control key. They offered to send me a new one, but I would have to send my old one back in, which doesn’t really work for me. I’m not paying to send my old one back in if I can just get a new keycap set for cheaper. Why in the world can’t they send me just a new keycap? It’s a nice keyboard otherwise, but having a key missing is crippling.

    This is an initial impressions review as I have only had the keyboard for a couple of hours. First this thing is a tank, it’s even heaver than my 1987 vintage Micron keyboard. The typing touch is lighter than I expected for a mechanical keyboard but it is definitely a pleasure to type on. I love the mute key and volume roller. The back-light is neat and the three levels accessible via the zone keys works well. I’ve already downloaded the Logitech gaming software and programmed 4 of the G-Keys and these will greatly increase my productivity, 14 to go! I had problems with my Micron recognizing the BIOS settings for the Num-Lock key and the SharpKeys setup to keep it from accidentally being pressed. The G710 does everything correctly, boots with it on and will not allow it to be turned off unless I use the special key sequence setup in SharpKeys. I’ve plugged the nano receiver for my Logitech Mouse in the USB 2.0 pass-through in the keyboard freeing a port on my USB 3.0 Hub. Note: This keyboard takes TWO USB 2.0+ ports (I’m sure it’s for power) and it says they should be directly on the computer (not a hub) so beware if you have limited ports. I just noticed an interesting thing…the row of number keys is upside down, e.g. Numbers on top and symbols on bottom. Of course the numbers are lit and I assume the symbols will light if capslock is pressed, however I have this turned off in SharpKeys so I can’t test it. I’ll report back after using this beast for a while. BTW: I’ve had my eye on this for quite a while but just wasn’t willing to shell out what they wanted for it. Got a great deal at go-keyboard.com for $89.99 thanks to Kinja deals!

    Unbelievable that 3 keys are already messed up and dirty to were you have to hammer them to register. I was upset the last 2 logitech keyboards both only lasted 4 years before volume wheel stopped working, but never had key problems. They changed this model and now the keys are not working and the “v” key is a normal gaming hot key that I can no longer count on to work, and I have to buy another keyboard after only a few months.

    I’ve bought a Red Cherry MX Corsair K70 and an Azio MGK-1 keyboard in the past. I must say this is the best keyboard I have ever bought in my life. You get a lot for the price. The macro keys work wonderfully, the macro profile buttons are very useful when playing different games in one sitting, the media keys work properly, the Brown Cherry MX feel is just perfect for people like me who look for a tactile experience when playing games but also have the ability to typewrite fast and efficiently. The brightness of the white LEDs is just perfect too. The Logitech Gaming Software works wonderfully with the keyboard as well. Also, the keyboard looks way much better in-real-life than on the pictures. I thought it looked like a toy at first, but once it’s in your hands, you realize it is pretty heavy and firm for plastic and it looks badass overall.

    There is really not much more for me to add. It is the best keyboard I’ve ever bought. I highly recommend this.

    Man I wish I upgraded from my old G15 years ago. Personally, I love the look of this keyboard. Not to simple and not to flashy.     Pros: Cherry brown switches. Nice backlight brightness level options. I love the media keys and volume. Single column of macro keys(other Logi keyboard have waaay too many). The Logitech drivers/software are my favorite part. I’ve heard some people mention key spacing, it doesn’t bother me at all. It’s a good looking keyboard, and the o-rings make it and feel great. I very much enjoy typing on this thing. Even the keycaps feel good*. Cons: Unnecessarily large. The bezel/taper on the edges of the housing give it an extra 1.5inches wide at peak. I would prefer it not be as deep as it is either. There is just a lot of wasted/extra space on this keyboard. No RGB, only white LED, with the quality of the Logitech software, RGB would be very nice to have…I don’t believe the Logi software can interface with the LEDs(not really a con) Keycaps: THE KEYCAPS ARE GARBAGE…I can’t emphasize this enough. After ~3 months my ‘D’ key game off mid-game and eventually failed completely. Hairline fractures developed where the keycap sits on the switch(see image). Working with Logitech support was easy and they sent me a new keycap set for the entire keyboard. However the new keycaps are made of the same material as the original…. Now, after ~11 months of use my ‘S’, ‘W’, and ‘CTRL’ keys are beginning to fail and will come off mid-game sometimes. I’m looking into aftermarket caps now, which will cost me at least $40. I had a Logitech g510 for many years(4+) with zero problems and it’s still being used by a friend. Final: Quality of the keycaps aside, I’d give this thing 4-5 stars. The lack of RGB doesn’t really bother me. Given the keycap issue, it doesn’t deserve 4 stars. (It’s an F’ing keyboard and the keys fall off)

    I loved this keyboard and all it offers but the build quality of the keycaps is a bit cheap. First the paint started to come off then the key caps broke inside. Maybe a heavy gamer you say? Nope.     Only slightly disappointed now. Have owned this keyboard since June 2016 (it’s now Sep 7th), and I’ve enjoyed and used most of the features on this keyboard. Originally all very minor gripes with certain things (like lack of tactile markers besides the F and J keys, to locate keys while gaming – led to pressing the G keys unintentionally quite often, early on). The only thing that really annoyed me was that the Ctrl key was gritty as hell and often difficult to depress, especially while keeping ones fingers on the homerow/WSAD keys for gaming. Less than 3 months of ownership and the Ctrl key has broken. I am not abusive with my equipment, don’t slam the keyboard keys ever. Simply after binding on the way down while seeing heavy use (FPS gaming & office productivity – lots of Ctrl + C/Ctrl + V, and other program-specific combinations), and occasionally popping right off (pressing Ctrl, Shift and combination of WSAD simultaneously during FPS gameplay: Dirty Bomb), the key took a dump and the bottom half of the switch guide split off and into two pieces. If I knew it could have been a problem, I would have completely avoided this model, which is why I’m even writing this. I will likely still buy and use a lot of Logitech products, but I distinctly have lower faith in the durability/quality of this particular product.

    Great keyboard, typing action feels good and the programmable “G” keys on the left side are awesome. With all that said there is a reason why this isn’t a 5 star review. Here they are, the wrist rest connects to the keyboard with two very weak plastic tabs and pops off when I try to move the heavy keyboard, annoying but not a deal breaker. Every key with a different character when shift is held down is inverted. By this I mean that the numbers across the top (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.) are above the symbols that you get when you hold the shift key down. This is also the case with all of the symbols like slash, backslash, question mark and so on. This wouldn’t be so bad if they just printed the characters that do not light up with white ink so that there would be a least a little contrast when I am looking for a symbol on the keyboard, which happens to not be in the normal location that I usually find it in. This contrast is worsened by the fact that there is a lit up symbol or number in place of where I normally look for a symbol like the question mark. If you never need to look at your keyboard to type then pay no attention to these problems, you wont notice a difference. I wish they would have either lit up the entire key so that both symbols were visible and just place the symbols on the keyboard exactly where I have had them for the past 25 years. Even with these issues, I am betting and hoping that I will get used to the keyboard because it is very nice to type on.

    All in all the G710+ is a pretty good keyboard. Full NKRO, nice layout, cherry switches… However, it has one very glaring flaw. The keycaps are absolute s***. I’ve had this keyboard for about 2 months now, and one of my ctrl keys has broken already. The other has cracks and will break soon. If you choose to buy this keyboard, add $30 to the price to account for the fact that you will end up replacing the keycaps.. Edit: reducing the review from 2 stars to 1 star. After about 2.5 years, the PCB has started delaminating and the keyboard is malfunctioning on the road to total failure. The keycaps were one thing, but it turns out the whole mess is shoddy, internally as well as externally.
