   I love this keyboard! With the Logitech Software you can customize the backlighting of individual keys which is pretty nifty. I like having the pause/play, stop, fast forward and rewind buttons because instead of having to go to iTunes or Spotify, I can just pause/play, and skip songs while I have other work open.

   Edit: The LEDs fail with such consistency it must be called a feature. The are soldered onto the board and so are impossible to repair or replace. I personally have several keys dead within 6 months and personally have seen 6 other keyboards fail as well. This takes cheap Chinese manufacturing to another level. At point in my life, I do not think I have ever had a worse support experience than with Logitech. This includes: Comcast: Missing TWO 8 hour window appointments when all IU had to do was plug the cable in. And THEN sending a guy out with bolt cutters ( he was on time btw) to cut the cable at the house so they could charge me an installation. Sprint: Suggesting I move (residences!), to where the signal was better. If you are running Windows 7 sp1 or any version of 8, these drivers are not signed, and so cannot work, and not only will the G keys not work, it will break any existing Logitech devices you may be running. Here is what I told Logitech: Operating System / Device Platform: Win 7 sp 1 Previously Had G19 and G13. Everything worked great. Then got G910. and did clean install. Win 7 x64 system. Everything seems to work. Lights, profiles. But G Keys on both g13 and G910 and g700 will not work. The Quick macro respond to G key touch so I know they physically work. Troubleshooting steps so far: Removed G13. Deleted all files in APPDATA and started fresh. Used single persistent profile. Confirmed using 64 bit LGS_8.74.80_x64_Logitech.exe Uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Still No G keys work. I have tried simple and complex macros. Even in notepad. Nothing! Followed all troubleshooting steps from Logitech site. Now am at a loss. One thing I noticed, in my device manager. There is nothing like a virtual keyboard driver that I have seen on some forums. its just 3 “HID Keyboard device” under Keyboard and Human Interface Devices.    If you can only have one keyboard, don’t get this. If you can have two, GET IT NOW. This is a thoroughbred gaming keyboard. Everything that makes it fantastic for pressing specific buttons in a known order is fire.🔥 That said, it is so poorly suited for data-entry or writing an piece of prose, that you’d think there was an active attempt to prevent such uses of this jewel of modularity and precision. The LGS is the real reason you’d want this keyboard, though. As for the ergonomics, the keys one associates with writing (tab, space, enter) are tiny. The entire keyboard is extremely compact and no space is wasted. This is great for spanning from [LShift] to [J] with one hand, but you’re gonna find yourself double-pressing buttons if your digits aren’t very slender. Also,the concave keys are stupid; they trap the fingers and that doesn’t help with gaming, prose, or data entry. Really a terrible idea that doesn’t even count as a gimmick bc it doesn’t do Anything helpful. Also, the ARX DOCK Release is a gimick; unless you have a tiny phone, a very thin case, or no case at all, you phone won’t fit.

   I probably would have given this keyboard 4 or 5 stars if I’d written this review in the first week of ownership; I’m glad that I waited! While the keyboard functionality is fine (tho the key shapes feel quite weird at first) and has been covered in-depth by many other reviewers, the LED lighting is very problematic. What started as a single discolored key has now turned into over two dozen discolored keys. It looks ridiculous. When I first got the keyboard, I set it to use the default Cyan color for all of the keys.Within a month, or so, one of the keys started to turn green. I used the color slider to blend it back in with the others and just shrugged it off as a fluke with the software. Over time, more keys started to turn green and, eventually, I could no longer get them to blend in the the others. If I set these discolored keys to full blue (RGB 0,0,255), most go fully dark; so it looks like the Blue LEDs are dying. The operating system, gaming software and keyboard firmware versions make no difference. I’ve tried resetting everything and even installing it on different computers; nothing works. The thing is just broken. A friend of mine, who purchased this same keyboard a few months prior to me, is having the same problem, tho it’s not yet quite as bad on his. I’m still waiting to hear from logitech, but I’m not anticipating a happy resolution. Edit: It took 18+ days for Logitech to respond to my initial support ticket. The first two responses were basically asking me to try the things that I’d already detailed trying in my original ticket as well as asking for all of the information that I’d provided in my original ticket and photographs of the keyboard, which I’d also provided in the original ticket… so I’m less than pleased with the Logitech’s customer service. However, the end result is that they’re replacing the keyboard, which is excellent news. I will revise my rating for the keyboard once I’ve had the new one for a few months.

   I got this keyboard about a year ago and have loved it ever since. About six months after getting it though I had two of my keys completely lose access to the blue color spectrum. Since it was only two keys I ignored it at first, but I’m now up to twenty-nine keys that will not light up with and shade of blue. In the image I’m including all of the green keys are programmed to display the same shade of blue as all the other keys. Clearly the blue portion of the LEDs are burning out much faster than they should, so I checked to see if I was still in warranty and submitted an RMA request. The next day I received a reply from Logitech asking me for information I had already included in the original RMA request. I responded with all of the requested information and haven’t received a response since. The next time I need a new keyboard I’ll be looking for a different brand, I’ve already decided I’ll be getting a Corsair mouse if my G600 dies. This is the last Logitech product I will ever purchase.

   I have for nearly 8 years the g19 model. Even in the age of mechanical, it did the job. It finally stopped working and I was really sad over it. This is very similar to it, minus the screen and being mechanical. I didn’t have to get used to the spacing or placement of keys. It has some interesting bells and whistles, and also a program to tweak it to color bounce to sounds/music. It does sound like the typical mechanical as far as loudness, so it’s in no way silent. As far as response time, I’m happy with it.

   The quality of this keyboard is top notch! The led lighting is bright and crisp. It us a very heavy keyboard, so not recommended for portable use and the cable does not detach as well. I replaced the original iBuypower “soft dome” keyboard for this one and it has improved my gaming experience. The only negative I can say is not with the keyboard itself but the software in the fact that I am new to PC and I’m still learning how to keep every other game and app from taking control of my lighting. I will figure it out in time. I do like the many different lighting effects that it has and the keys are very accurate!

    I have a lot of Logitech products and this is why i paid extra for a nice Keyboard Logitech, well my delivery was delayed, after waiting a long wait my package finally arrived, a cardboard box all banged up, my keyboard scraped from one corner, scraped and broken from the other corner, ill just have to use it like this, i dont have time to be printing, wrapping and driving to the ups store, that is the reason i buy online. what a shame

    This is my forth Logitech keyboard and i am not let down at all. First off, the Romer-G Mechanical Switches are very responsive and easy to press. The LED lights are very bright and the customization is amazing. I can’t live without the volume control slider on the keyboard. It’s the first thing i look for when upgrading. The only negative is the Arx Control smartphone app instead of the LCD display which my last keyboard had. There is barely any game support for it. It can really only be used for system stats like CPU, GPU, and RAM usage.

    I’ve had this board since it was first released and loved it. The housing around one key broke and after a few months of my ghetto fix helping it limp along I looked around and decided this was still my favorite board. I just wish they sold more replacement parts. I could have easily fixed my old board 🙁 It gets 4/5 durability for that reason. I had the board for years before it broke though. I know some reviews don’t like the shape of the key, but I do. I’m biased though. The macros work perfect, I love the color schemes, though I mostly use it because I’m typing in the dark. I rarely look at my board, but when I do it’s nice to see it easily.

    The picture shown is of the original release of the G910 Orion Spark RGB keyboard. I specifically wanted the larger palm rest they used to include, but it seems has been removed from the keyboard, but still depicted. Removed a star for that problem and should be noted on the description that the image is misleading. Just know it doesnt have it, and only includes the small wrist rest that isnt as ideal for gaming if I am honest. Seems like they just wanted to lower costs and this was there cost savings without mentioning it at all on images, even on their website. Buyer beware. Otherwise it is as I expect, but I get fatigue from holding my wrist higher above the keyboard than I expected.

    I’ve been using this keyboard for more than a few months now and have come back to change my review from a 5 star to a 3. There are several keys along the sides and top labeled as “G1, G2, etc.” They are possibly the worst things in existence. I cannot count the amount of times that I’d needed to HARD RESET my PC because I accidentally pressed one (see video). You CAN setup new binds and remove the old ones but in my experience the next time I opened the software they had all reset. Yes it has action heatmapping, chroma color control, and background media control, but if I wasn’t out of the refund period I would definitely refund it and buy something without those keys. They’re in a position where it’s just too easy to accidentally hit them.

    Don’t like the loud clacking of some of the other mechanical keyboards? This one is relatively quiet. If I am playing a game, with headphones on, I can’t hear it. Without headphones on, it’s not an annoying sound to hear while typing unless you push too hard on the keys. However, it doesn’t give up noise to lower the reactivity. It’s very reactive and easy to use. I went from a Razer Ornata Chroma keyboard to this Logitech G910, and it’s definitely more reactive. I’ve had a couple problems resting my fingers on the keys because it’ll react to them if I rest them as heavily as I’m used to doing. Just gotta adapt if you had a less reactive keyboard, which shouldn’t be a problem after a week or so. It’s also got macro keys that are easily programmable for various uses, though at the moment I’ve been using them for 3-4 key press shortcuts. Allows me to alt+tab, open settings, etc, really nicely. It’s got 9 of them total, with 3 profiles (so max 27 usable macros at any one time). This is done through the G1-9 keys (1-5 on the left, 6-9 above the F1-4 keys) and the M1-3 on the top left of the keyboard ()may not notice them at first, I didn’t). You can switch profiles at any time with a button press, and they aren’t in the way when you’re typing, which is super nice. It’s got a resting spot for your wrists, but I wouldn’t exactly call this keyboard a good ergonomic keyboard. It’s keys are spaced out comfortably, and they are a good size. Those are all points for it, but resting on it isn’t exactly comfortable at the start. They wrists have to tilt a bit too far downward, which bothers mine. It’s got good lighting on it. And the options for them in the Logitech G Hub are nice. There is apparently quite a bit of customization for it, but I haven’t quite explored that yet because of my own insecurities — I get anxious exploring software when I don’t have any sort of guide for it simply because I’ve found things people can’t solve in software before and it’s tedious having to reinstall it at the Registry level. There are presets, freestyle, and animation sub menus for the lightsync area. There are various commands you can assign to the keys in the G Hub, such as application launching, the macros aforementioned, actions for things like OBS/Discored/Overwolf, etc. Overall I’m very satisfied with this keyboard and the G Hub, so far. EDIT: Had to replace this unfortunately. Wear and tear got to at least one key after so much use that it came off while I was typing one day. The D key popped off. Had one of the little plastic bits holding them on snap off. Picture relevant. Left side broken keycaps, right side unbroken. At first I thought, hey, it’s been a little bit since I removed the keycaps and cleaned it, so I’ll do that. As I did, I noticed another key was strained on the little plastic bits (the Left CTRL key). Not a problem normally, right? Just order keyboard replacement keycaps for a keyboard of the type required, right? go-keyboard.com or Logitech should have them, right? Maybe Best Buy or Microcenter? Wrong. The G910 keycaps are specially made. Called Romer-G. Made and produced only by Logitech (and Omron?), unless one wants really cheap knock-offs that still charge exorbitantly but will break in 1/10 of the time. Anyway, nowhere on their website or store can one order replacement keycaps unless you buy a full set. I’m not paying $50 (last I checked) for a set of replacement keycaps when I only need one or two. Same problem at BB and my local MC. And pressing the switch directly is really not an option 😂. I don’t want to develop a callous or indentation from a keyboard switch on my finger. Great keyboard until you have to replace keycaps. Then it’s between meh and a nightmare. Mine lasted long enough for my money’s worth to have been gotten out of it, so the stars only go from 5 to 4 per this edit.

    Keyboard was outstanding when I purchased it. Keys feel real nice, type very accurately and have good response time. There are lots of options on the keyboard’s lighting and macros to make it work well. However, I have two major issues. First is that the media keys are not programmable. Some of my multimedia applications cannot see the media keys at all, one that is notable is QMMP. This makes those keys just a waste of space. My MAIN issue is that the RGB lighting in use on this keyboard fails over time. In just over 18 months, but less than two years, many keys started to change from the color I set to a completely different color. NumPad 3, X, Z, C, 3, F9…. keys around the keyboard just started changing color. Upon testing, they are losing the ability to display the color Blue. If you set the keyboard to Solid Blue (0,0,255), those keys are either dim or completely off. If you set it to, say purple (128,0,255), they display more red than purple, or completely red as in the case of my NumPad3 which had the blue completely fail. As a result, to keep from having awful coloring, though I bought this to use the RGB for backlighting, I have run with the lighting turned off for the past couple of years. Not what I wanted to do when buying an RGB keyboard. After looking around online, I found that the switches Logitech use have this issue a lot. If you’re looking for a keyboard with good RGB, or specifically want blue shades, avoid Logitech! Five stars as a mechanical keyboard, One star for RGB….

    *Update 6/12/17* Well, after a little back-and-forth, Logitech decided there’s nothing wrong with the keyboard, and they aren’t going to do anything for me. They said they keys didn’t look crooked to them (sent them the same pics as in this review). Going to leave the rating at 3 stars. Functionally, the keyboard is still fine, and the feel of the keys is great. For $125, though, I’d have hoped for better aesthetic quality. *Original Review 6/4/17* Overall, the keyboard is great. Unfortunately, QC seems to have been snoozing on mine – two of the key caps are plainly printed crooked, the T and F3 keys. I’ve submitted a support case to Logitech, and will update this review as it progresses. I’m asking either for replacement key caps, or a new keyboard entirely.

    I have been using this for about 6 months and it comes in very handy. See the attached photo of how I configured the colors of the keys to jump out at you for easy finding whether the room is well light or dark. The key colors and inscriptions are very clear but due to glare from my monitor the picture is not showing it as well as it is. My main use is for programming macro keys rather than gaming. The keys are extremely sensitive for fast gaming but I do well enough with it when typing. This keyboard replaced my Logitech KT-800 wireless back-lit smaller keyboard which I really loved and used for a few years. However, one of the more necessary keys gave out and Logitech doesn’t sell replacement keys nor would they be easily replaceable if they did. For the about $100 I originally paid for it, I was very said it didn’t last longer or allow me to repair it.

    Five stars because this is a PRODUCT review. The SELLER, FDBV Corporate Group, gets a one-star from me. This model of keyboard is great – obviously, I loved my old one so much that when it broke, I had to come here and buy another one secondhand, because Logitech doesn’t make these anymore. I like the way the keys cup my fingers. I like the per-app hyper-customizable lighting profiles you can set up in LGHUB. I like the extra G-keys and the various functionality (macros, program launch, map to other keys including F13-F24) you can attach to them. Wonderful keyboard. HOWEVER. This seller is a joke. Do not buy refurbs from FDBV Corporate Group unless you are willing to put in the time and effort to clean the item up yourself. I expect this kind of quality from something I pick up off someone’s porch after finding it on Craigslist, NOT from someone who sells through go-keyboard.com. I received a sad-looking crumpled box entirely covered in packing tape, inside which was this keyboard wrapped very, ahem, thoroughly let’s call it, in scraps of bubble wrap and shipping paper – which is fine, I don’t really care about the unboxing process, though it did rather set the tone for what I was about to clap eyes on. What I care about is how dirty the keyboard was, and the fact that even AFTER I hit it with a damp paper towel, an entire can of compressed air, and a keyboard-cleaning brush between the keys, it STILL was awful horrible no-good bad-times filthy underneath. Thank goodness I had a nice lil key puller on hand – see attached photo for the horror that still had to be extricated AFTER the above cleaning efforts once I pulled all the keys off. Apparently, this thing was some cat’s favorite bed – and I think I might be allergic to whatever kind of cat this was, so thanks very much for THAT, FDBV. So little attention was paid to the actual “refurbishment” part of this resale – disgusting, disgraceful, and downright unprofessional. As the meme goes, my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. The one saving grace? Once I cleaned it up and put it back together, all the keys actually work without sticking, ghosting, or requiring extra-firm presses or repetitions, which is more than I can say for the TWO keyboards bought from and returned to “thegadgetdeals”. Edit: spoke too soon – less than a week, and I’m getting nonresponsive-without-pressing-hard F2, P, Numpad7, and Numpad* keys, and occasional double-fires on Z, Y, and Spacebar. So disappointing after the effort I went to to clean it up like the seller was supposed to. Either the G910 Spark model is just baseline not as reliable as the G910 Spectrum I had for 6 years, or all the functional ones have found happy homes and it’s just the defective ones that are circulating, being “refurbished” and sent out and returned and “refurbished” and sent out and returned…

    Fantastic keyboard, love the feel of the keys and the amount of G keys to customize for games. The phone holding dock is a plus the mobile app to show your key layout is also great. Controlling volume with a great sliding wheel is also a plus, this keyboard has replaced so many other keyboards for me and to show you how much I love it I bought it. I had asked Logitech to send me one, they have sent other products, and I was using free provided mechanical keyboards but I just had to have this keyboard. The color options are amazing, and I can custom code keys to specific games like Elite: Dangerous. One thing to note I would say is that the keys are a bit rough on a touch typist like me. The indented center and raised edges make it perfect for gaming but when touch typing you have to raise your fingers higher than typical when you glide from key to key and this took some training. The CTRL key is very easily missed and hit the G5 instead until I got used to it and it took a few weeks. Overall, my favorite RGB Mechanical Keyboard so far out of the half dozen or so I have reviewed, the price is very high but I think it is worth it if you game as much as I do.

    Been using this for about a month now. Upgraded from a normal keyboard (not a mechanical or all out membrane). The Romer G switches feel good.

    Will take some getting used to for everyday typing, but that’s to be expected for upgrading to a mechanical keyboard.

    One thing I have to mention about the ARX Dock(this is mainly my fault for not doing enough research, before buying this) is that I barely use it. Don’t get me wrong, I use the Logitech app, it is very good, but you do not need to plug your phone into the dock for the app to work, but I have a wireless network at home (even though I use LAN on my desktop) and it detects the components via the wireless network. So what I really want to say is… Why is there an ARX Dock in the first place? Just to hold your phone? Hmm.

    Other than that, it is still a 5/5.

    I am writing this review from my new Logitech Orion Spark G910 and would like to point out that I am not being paid or compensated in any way for writing this review. I just want people to have some solid information to go on when thinking about buying this keyboard. The best way to describe this keyboard is “the most ergonomic mechanical keyboard you can get without sacrificing too many of the qualities we love in mechanical keyboards”. Keys & Switches For the mechanical users out there who have used cherry switches, I would liken the Romer G keys to the quiet Cherry Brown switches. The keys are all indented to a light degree for comfort and accuracy but as a few people have said, the tops are slightly larger than most keyboards so you will likely need to spend some time getting used to them before your typos come down in volume again. The actuation is unbelievable!!!! I swear sometimes all I need to do is THINK about pressing a key and it will appear on the screen. The keys require very little force before they actuate taking a lot of stress of your wrists and fingers which is great because I have been experiencing a little bit of pain due to long hours on the computer. Design & Aesthetics The first thing a said when taking this bad boy out of the box was “Damnnnnnnnnnnnn”. The thing looks NICE. Overall I would say it has a very sturdy build and all of the right cool accents in all of the right places. the media controls are something that seem to be fading away in a lot of keyboards but I really appreciate having. This one even has a mute button and a volume wheel! Still not to sure about the ARX dock though. Its basically just a phone stand for your keyboard made out of thick plastic that slides in and out. I guess is does look pretty cool though. The keyboard comes with two wrist rests. a regular size and a much larger size. I don’t like how they made made them attach but the large wrist rest is VERY comfortable so I can’t complain too much. The LEDS. Man… I got this keyboard a couple of days ago and I am still in awe over the amount of customization options you have with this keyboard. I have created keyboard profiles that automatically get switched to when I open certain games. so If I go from playing Counter Strike to Skyrim… Boom, the keys change automatically to illuminate the keys I will be using in-game which I honestly think is the best perk about the G910. The lights themselves are bright, but not too bright that they get in the way if you are playing in the dark. There is ZERO light leak on the outside of the keys which gives a very crisp and sharp look to it and you can choose from basically ANY color you can imagine. You can have ANY number of colors and you can make ANY number of profiles. In summary I would say If you like having a quite, comfortable keyboard that still gives you the mechanical feeling and looks super freakin cool, Buy this…. You wont be disappointed. If you would rather have that super Clacky tactile that you can hear in the other room and dont want leave the customizable keys behind, I would suggest looking in the the new Blackwidow Chroma by Razer. Sorry for any typos….. still getting used to the keyboard =)

    keyboard looks great with my set up and it feels great but the keyboard was broken on the bottom. It is disappointing and i really dont feel like dealing with go-keyboard.com and their time consuming exchange method so i bit the bullet and used glue to fix it. Luckily its on the bottom so i can manage without getting too upset. the wrist support is also kind of uncomfortable but its not bad. apparently i was supposed to get 2 wrist pads but after digging through the garbage and the box, it was missing i guess.

    Had a tough time deciding between this or the newly released G810 which sport a simplistic look vs big and gamer look. The main concern which was highlighted numerous times by reviewers was the oddly shaped keycaps and many complained that it is hard to type with it. I am currently typing with it and can safely comment that it is not an issue to me at all. Took just an hour to get used to it. The keys feel fast and have a high quality texture to it. If you are really concerned and do not want to use the oddly shaped keys, Logitech US actually released the normal keycaps for the G910 sometime in late 2015 and can be acquired at about $39.99 which isn’t cheap, but gives us an option to try out their supposedly gaming optimized keys instead of using the normal concave keys that we are already so used to. I view this as an added bonus albeit the higher cost if I ever buy the replacement keycaps. The keys are fast and quiet as compared to its “equivalent” Cherry MX Brown switch. It is faster to actuate and bottom out as advertised, it only takes a light tap to actuate and I would dare say will increase your WPM if you’re not hindered or bothered by the keycaps. On top of that, the keyboard has two actuation point as fail-safe and longer durability I guess. Stay away from it if you are looking for a noisy or clicky keyboard. Keys are well lit but not the brightest I’ve seen, it definitely look beautiful at night. One complain here though, the white (255,255,255) Is actually pale blue on my keyboard and there are numerous other users having the same issue, with some saying it is light pink at the same RBG setting. Might be a deal-breaker for some but I am willing to give it a chance and spend more time in the future to find that perfect white by tweaking the RBG in its software. The software is easy to use but not perfect. Anyone will be able to customize the color profile easily. I just wished that there is an option to switch color profile for default profile and brightness level on the fly without having to get into the LGS every time. It is not without bug though. I found it that my Num Lock, Caps Lock and Scroll Lock status indicator doesn’t work properly when I am using the Key Press color scheme. (One way to overcome it is to long hold the respective keys until the status indicator lights up or off.) In conclusion, the tough decision between G810 and G910 to me was really because they are both priced very similarly. If the G810 were to be at the $129 price point, I would definitely go for it without second thought. At very similar price point (in fact the shop I got it sold both at exactly the same price), I chose to go with the G910 as it felt that it has more bang for the buck. The palm rest which some reviewers complain is great for my hands too. (Using the large palm rest, having somewhat medium to small hands I guess). I would definitely recommend anyone who wants to buy either of these keyboards to try it out in a store or something, don’t base your opinion solely on reviews published as the way you like your keyboard is very personalized and differs very much especially compared to those who are very accustomed to their favorite type of switches and normal kind of keycaps. Update: Took some time to find the RGB value for the white on my keyboard. Might not match every keyboards but generally find the color it is has a tint to and reduce the number. The RGB value for my white is 255, 190, 240 while the blue to match the media keys is 15, 123, 255. The default yellow given by the software appear too greenish as well, 255, 180, 0 works better for me. Hope this helps anyone having the same “color temperature” with my keyboard!

    The keyboard actually works pretty well for the most part. I have purchased three of these keyboards, and over time (sometimes within 2 year warranty, some times beyond it), the LEDs just start failing. In the attached pictures, the keys circled in red have a non-working blue LED. In the case of delete, it appears to work, but at a very very dim setting, its on its way out.

    Sharp LED backlit mechanical keys. I wasn’t sure about the new keycap styles however they have certainly grown on me. I have gone through several backlit Logitech gaming keyboards over the years and noticed the quality of the keyboards were taking a turn for the worst. I decided to give Logitech one last chance and chose this keyboard over the Corsair K70, which I did try out at Quakecon 2015. Let me tell you, it was a great choice! I am already a fan of this keyboard and have shown it off to friends and co-workers alike, they too were impressed! The Romer-G keys are not too loud either and are absolutely perfect. The ARX dock does not charge your phone and/or other devices and the software works great for monitoring your PC stats. I am a little disappointed at the wrist rest attachment and how its not even with my left wrist. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase from go-keyboard.com.     I’ve had this keyboard for under two years. I’ll start off with the good. The design is pretty awesome, although the ARX Dock is gimmicky to the max. But RGB LED’s look awesome and they are pretty intuitive to program through the “Logitech Gaming Software” program. I personally like blue keys that go red and fade back to blue when pressed. But you can make it cycle waves of rainbow gradients and stuff so you know, that concept is pretty awesome. The keys are mechanical, and exactly what you expect. The macro keys are par for the course as well. They’re very useful as always. love the volume wheel with its rubber surface. Game mode, Backlight toggle, Mute and media buttons all perfectly functional and good features to have. However, having said all that, there are a couple of fatal problems with this product you should be aware of. First of all, it’s not built to last. One of the keycaps broke off a few months back. I contacted Logitech customer support to get a replacement, and naturally, they asked for the serial number to confirm it was under warranty. okay here’s the first major problem. That serial number is printed on a white sticker on the underside of the keyboard. It’s just attached to a blank spot next to the rest of the product information, which has been very nicely printed onto the keyboard itself. Well during the course of normal use, the black ink on that sticker fades and ends up looking blank. So that caused problems and kind of undermines the whole warranty thing. Well, I sent them my receipts for the purchase, the serial number on the box it came in (which is only for the box turns out.) and photographic evidence of the issue, attached to this review, as well as the picture of the faded white sticker on the keyboard. and after I relayed that information to a few different representatives through emails, they eventually mailed me a replacement L keycap…. along with… every other key I didn’t ask for. But hey whatever they probably produce them in batches and you would, at least in theory, have replacements for future issues. However, it’s not very resource conscience, is it? No worse than any other company really, but that’s a weak defense in light of the current state of the world. So that was a pain in the ass but it gets worse int he epilogue. Now, the RGB LED’s literally make this product shine. But four have either burnt out completely or lost the ability to produce certain colors. it seems every other night another key flickers out or… turns perma-green or something along those lines. To me, It just doesn’t make sense that in 2018, when people and state governments are so desperate to crack down on plastic waste that they ban plastic bags and straws in some cities, that a long standing producer of pc peripherals can’t build a product that will last a decade or two. Sure the RGB LED’s are fresher technology in theory and might be more prone to early death than say, plastic. But I think it’s more realistic to look at the price per unit, the 2-year warranty, and the poorly planned/absolutely critical information sticker, combined with resistance from customer support, to make it all seem like some big scheme to dissuade complaints. Which by the way, good job, definitely not rushing to go through that again. On top of that, they possibly sucker people into buying replacement keyboards. And if your competitor does it as well, then you both walk out with increased sales. And that’s not really true competition, is it? But, maybe I’m unlucky. Maybe it’s just an unfortunate series of oversights and for some reason, quality products are harder to make last. But I think maybe going cheap on the internals so they last just long enough, seems like a more prudent assessment. But you have the information, judge for yourself. Either way, it’s pretty badass while it lasts. Oh and also heavy enough to knock out home invaders with in a pinch.

    I bought this keyboard to replace the G19. I really liked the applets feature of the G19 and hoped this would be a good replacement. Bottom line is it’s an acceptable replacement but not great. Performs well while missing some features. My biggest complaint is the keys are NOT QUIET AT ALL. Sounds like someone is tap dancing on my keyboard. However, manufacturer states “Exclusive Romer-G Mechanical Switches with tactile, quiet keys and up to 25% faster responsiveness” Pros – lights are awesome and very programable. – keys are quick and responsive – CPU/GPU applet is nice – heavy with good rubber feet, does not slide around – preprogrammed lights are awesonme Cons – keys are NOT QUIET – Applet screen is your phone, the ARX doc only supports vertical placement – GHUB Programming keyboard for games is more difficult than the G19 – GHUB Programming lights is slightly cumbersome and unintuitive. – No onboard USB ports – No onboard memory for saving configs
