   I had a tough time figuring out if i could use this wired. You definitely can !! The dpi is definitely way overkill.. within the app it lets you choose the dpi change interval which is nice. Ive used the Bluetooth mode when in a pinch, works well enough. Amazing weight, ergonomics and overall feel. The fly wheel scroll button is fun to use. You can set the thing to navigate in all sorts of cool ways within the app. The app runs light and clean, idk why people complain about it. It glides around quite smoothly, even when not using a mousepad. I love the mouse enough to have forgotten the price so theres that 😉

   Don’t buy from this seller! My mouse worked fine for the first several months, but then there is wireless connection issue occurred. I reached Razer team tried to solve this issue, but it can’t be fixed by firmware update. Thus, I requested for a replacement, but Razer confirmed that they could not proceed with the warranty claim as the device was purchased from an ***unauthorized reseller***, so there is nothing they could do. I end up using this mouse with cable mode only.

   This is a great mouse, just the right weight, feels good in the hand, and well built. The battery life is substantial, I’ve often only had to charge it once a week or less. The buttons are clicky, responsive, and hold up well to regular use. Razer has even done a lot to improve their Synapse software allowing for a wide array of customizable functions and settings. Personally I set my DPI to 10,000 so I can still play games despite having a small mouse pad to work with.

   I received this mouse late September and it’s already given me more issues than I had expected for the price. To start, it isn’t all terrible. I find it pretty comfortable for my grip and the battery will last me a few days if I forget to put it on the charger before bed one night. I wanted something wireless so I could get into more fps and pvp games without it getting caught as I practice, but sometimes the connection seems bad and it’ll make the cursor look like it’s lagging when I know it isn’t the computer itself. It has caused me to tab outta things a few times by accident. If it isn’t that, the scroll wheel will switch modes at random, too. I’ve got a bad habit of using the scroll wheel in games and when it starts free spinning unexpectedly, it throws me off entirely. I seem to be unable to get the device to be detected by the application half the time as well and it makes it harder trying to fix the issue above when I can’t. Unfortunate cause it had been working great at first, but seems less functional now with a little bit of time. Perhaps it was just my luck, but not sure I can justify replacing it with the same mouse when it eventually becomes completely unusable, especially if it’s sooner rather than later. **UPDATE** About after a week of this review, the battery has now fallen apart and the backside of it is stuck inside the mouse. It doesn’t wanna clip back together and I can’t seem to twist it out of place no matter how much I try. Splurged on a mouse I thought would last, but has continued to disappoint me.

    So much so that I own three of them. It’s not until I got the v3 pro that I was satisfied. I wanted it wireless WITH under glow, and this is the only one that does it. It also has an ever so slightly larger thumb rest than the ultimate edition along with more resolution AND support for the wireless charging puck. It SHOULD include the charging puck for free, but that’s a marketing thing and doesn’t reflect on this mouse’s quality to me.     This is a Wireless Mouse that uses a wireless dock(sold separately) a direct-connect cable USB-A (included), or a Bluetooth USB Dongle(included). I install Firmware updates for both the Mouse and the Wireless dock. For the best setup, install v4 Razer Synapse. The mouse and dock worked well after the firmware updates.     I used the Logitech G502 Lightspeed for some years. I was looking for a similar mouse, but with bluetooth and battery. Then I found this one…. and IT’S AMAZING! Maybe it has less buttoms than the G502, but actually I didn’t needed that much amount of buttoms. It is conftable for the hand. I have mid-size hands (size 9) and my hand fits perfect to reach al buttoms and also to rest on it. That let’s a smooth movement without damaging my wrist or knuckles. I haven’t figure it out, but I’m quite sure the Basilisk V3 Pro does not have the chance to add weight. I actually never use weights. It uses the Razer Central app for configuration. There you have a ll the RGB colors you want, and al the personalized chromas. Also you can set profiles depending on what are you using your mouse. DPIs can increase from 100 to 30.000. You can use the buttom in the middle to change in 5 stages (all programable). Also the buttom on the side let you diminish the amount of DPIs meanwhile you pressed it. Specially when working with Photoshop or other desing programs it is very usefull. You can program almost all buttoms the mouse has. Battery life is very good. I can tell, by using it 8 hours a day, battery is lasting 10 days (more or less). You can use it plugged with the cable it comes in the box, and stil use the mouse when charging. I might say price is a little bit to high, considering the G502 lightspeed or the G502 lightspeed pro. But for me it was a great investment and I really love it.

    Excellent experience for gaming and work. I use all of the buttons for macros while coding and of course in different games. The weight and shape is excellent for me (I have relatively big hands). The colors work great with razer synapse out of the box (it didn’t recognize it the first as I connected it to a USB hub, but when connected directly to the computer it was solved). The wireless connection is seamless even when battery is low. Weight is great. The cord is great (smooth and high quality). Over all 10/10 for my needs. Replaced my g502 without a single hiccup.

    I’ve had a wired Basilisk for several years now and it still works just as well as it did before. It has not developed any issues with the scroll wheel, the buttons, or any sort of double-clicking problems. I’ve had other similarly priced mice before and all of them did not stand up to the quality of the Razer Basilisk. After 4-5 years of use, the rubber grip on the side has finally started to wear down and be uncomfortable on my finger so I decided to purchase another one, this time the wireless Basilisk V3 Pro in white.

    It’s such a great mouse. The response is great, the feel is great, the RGB effects are extremely customizable, and the build quality is top notch. For the wireless version, I’ve found the battery life to be excellent and if you use the docking station for it, it’s easily rechargeable and has an excellent polling rate. I’ve noticed no difference in response from the wired to the wireless with the dock.

    The only thing I’d say is the wired mouse is MUCH cheaper so if you’re fine with having the wire, you may as well just get that instead of the wireless.

    I’ve been using the Basilisk since v1. I currently have the v2 Ultimate. When I saw that Razer released the v3 wired, I wished for a wireless version. Well here it is! Being a Razer fan, I had high hopes. This is a comparison between v2 Ultimate and v3. I have the base version for $159.99 which I think is ridiculously high, especially for including no charging base. Physically, the v2 and v3 look near identical. The only way to tell the difference by looking face down, is that the v3 has a textured finish, whereas the v2 is smooth. Scroll wheel: The main difference in functionally however, is the new infinite scroll wheel. You can turn this feature on and off via the button on top. When you do switch it on and off, there’s a mechanical sound. You can also set it to automatic via the synapse software. The infinite scroll feels just like Logitech which I love. Left bottom trigger: Known as the gun trigger for first person shooters. On v2, you could change out the trigger with the included different lengths. Not so on the v3. What you get is what you get. That said, the one it comes with is a middle length and suitable for most gaming situations. Charging: The v2 must be charged with the proprietary micro usb cable. It’s not the input portion, but rather the shape of the cable head that prevents you from using any regular micro usb cable. The v2 ultimate also includes a charging stand you place on it to charge. Basically if you lose the cable, you’re screwed. On the v3 base, it’s usb-c and works with any usb-3 cable, which is infinitely more convenient. Charging upgrade options (sold separately) for the v3 include a wireless charging puck that you screw underneath the mouse, allowing you to wirelessly charge it with any wireless qi charger. Also sold separately is the charging stand. For the v2 ultimate, people have been having issues with the connection between the charging stand and the mouse. After a year or two, it becomes loose so it no longer charges. For the v3, it’s magnetic so you won’t have that issue. Verdict: The upgrades on v3 are great actually, especially the infinite scroll. But I don’t understand why Razer made a base model priced so high? It’s currently as of 9/18/22 $159.99 without any other charging options beside the usb-c cable. The full upgrade with the wireless charging puck and magnetic stand is $229.98! While the v2 Ultimate was $159.99 and is currently on go-keyboard.com for $100+ and I’ve seem it on sale for $79.99. IMHO, even though the v3 is a great mouse, I honestly don’t feel that the cost justifies the upgrade.

    I’ve been using an anodised aluminium mouse mat for a couple of years with G502, but the thing has always been making a lot of noise (the same sort of noise as you would get from sliding G502 down on finely polished wooden surface). These teflon feet actually make the thing slide silently. The mouse comes bundled with Razer’s new super-ultra-extra-speed-flex cable. The cable is not just a marketing nonsense, it indeed has barely noticeable drag. The build quality is spotless. Even the mouse wheel that generally makes Razer products look low-quality has fairly nice feel. About the Synapse software. Right after installation I discovered a bug with using on-the-flight DPI feature (i. e. you hold a button and use the scroll wheel to adjust the DPI). When coupled with free spinning wheel, the the DPI keeps increasing even after the wheel has stopped. The bug has been reported, but the very fact that I encountered a bug almost immediately after installation is concerning. Apparently, the rumors about Razer Synapse are also true. Which is bad. Very bad, if that is their attitude.

    This has to be the best mouse i have purchased so far. I owned the previous version of this mouse and the biggest problem it had was the charging base it never worked but razer finally fixed that and put the charging puck in with the super strong magnetic base and it works flawlessly. The programable buttons are easy to set up to your desired settings through the razer synapse app and the response time of this mouse is second to none. A++ would recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade there current setup.

    The mouse looks great and the synapse software allows the user to configure it easily according to the needs . My only comment is that it doesn’t come with a charging dock (like the Razer Viper ultimate) which you can use to simply place your mouse on the dock to charge it overnight at the end of your day , instead it comes with a long charging cable which you have to plug into the mouse every time you need to charge it .

    Purchased the mouse late December last year, already not working, just died on me, no early warnings, nothing, it wont turn on, wont flash any lights, not even detectable when attached to PC. JUST DIED Important to note there was no damage whatsoever on the mouse itself or the shipping packaging, everything was fine from the shipper point of view. Trying to engage razer for a replacement unit, not having my hopes hi though judging of what am reading here from other users… do not buy this mouse, you re literally gambling with 150+ USD

    Love the feel of the mouse and the rgb lighting. Battery life is excellent, high dpi, wireless charging. All great features only issue I have is sometimes when using the razor dock pro the mouse will lose connectivity quite frequently. Don’t have this issue as much with the usb dongle.
