   Love this mouse! I was skeptical because I’m not a huge fan of razer products in general. I wanted a cheaper wireless mouse I could use when my other was being charged, and the basilisk x hyperspeed happened to be on sale. I thought the battery power would be a downside, but I been using it for several days and it’s still nearly full. The mouse fits perfectly in my palm grip (although I have very small hands.) there are 2 ways to connect the mouse, via Bluetooth or a USB dongle. Skip the Bluetooth, the connection is very choppy. Using the usb connection works 100% fine. Wish there was a little touch of rgb on it, but I’m very happy with this mouse. When my other mouse dies I might spring for the chargeable version of this with the dock, or I might just keep this one! Highly recommend! EDIT: Has now been almost a month since ive started using this mouse daily, for several hours a day. Battery life is currently at half! Using the same energizer battery since i got it. Solid mouse, and i still highly recommend!

   I was looking for a wireless gaming mouse for gaming. I had already previously had a wired Razer mouse so I wanted to stick to the same brand. I came across this model and purchased it. I love that it supports 2.4 and Bluetooth connectivity. I have only one issue with this mouse, when it was brand new the mouse button seemed to not be very sensitive and my clicks were not registered but that eventually went away with use. Now it works as it should. It did feel just a tad smaller than my wired version too but that was not a big deal.

   The latency is quite low, and feels really accurate to use. I’ve been using a cheap “gaming” mouse that came with my PC years ago and I figured it’s time to upgrade. It feels really great in my hand, although somewhat light and cheap. The scroll wheel feels great; I also enjoy the mapping possibilities of the various buttons. The mouse disconnects after a short idle time, and takes half a second to reconnect when you move it again. Sometimes is a bit annoying, but I’m glad it saves battery on the other end. When the mouse first came I used the battery that came with it, and it died in 2 days. I’m hoping it was a bad battery and I put in my own, will update if it continues to die quickly. UPDATE: It’s been 15 days since I changed the battery in my last update. The mouse just died today, and had to change the battery. Is this a 450 hour mouse? No way. This barely scrapes the border of me deciding to keep it. A battery every two weeks isn’t what I want to be changing out, but it’ll do for now. I also find myself turning the mouse off and on at least once a day because it straight up doesn’t connect or wake sometimes. Really annoying. I’d save your $40 for a nicer wireless mouse, or get something this price range but wired. I wouldn’t mind having this very mouse with a wire, because man this battery and connection issue is pretty close to returnable.

   First review I wrote in November 2022 couple of months after purchase
   Energy drains off the battery in couple of hours. Forget months. Even Duracell batteries wouldn’t last after using it for couple of months. Not sure if this is specific to this piece or in general.

   The mouse stopped working and there no way to revive it. After spending so much of money and energy, the product turned out to be extremely dissatisfactory.

   Not sure if go-keyboard.com is sending substandard products or Razer is bad. I see 19000 odd reviews with majority advising its good, but the experience is pathetic.

   Next mouse I’ll probably buy at store who are at least ready to answer and certify the authenticity.

   I ran into a big issue with the first one I bought. V.1 had a problem with the switches in the left mouse button. After a while it developed a “double click” issue where it would just do it fairly regularly on its own. This version that you get when it ships is V.2 and it corrects that issue with the switches. 16000 dpi for this price is amazing. When you game, or just really need that cursor to stay steady… DPI is life. You can’t beat this mouse, in fact I’d put it up against just about anything on the market right now for it’s price point.

   I liked that it had a lot of battery life I used it for 4 hours on my PlayStation 4 very good to use and also its very good for gaming I would recommend this to someone if you guys want a wireless mouse from Razer but when I first got it it was very cool my first time having a Razer product but after using it it’s very very good for gaming but what I dislike is I am trying to connect it to the imac and it’s not connecting and it’s taking long I don’t know if this is a problem for everybody but I need to find out how you do this.. but the good thing about it is very good quality.

   Ok, so this mouse feels like a $60 mouse to me. I’m used to heavier mice (fully weighted wired g502) so its light in my hand. The lightness makes it feel cheap at first, but honestly it is solid. Nothing is wiggly and the magnetic cover for the battery compartment holds tight. I think that this is a good upgrade from the wired g502. You get: 1) The hyperspeed wireless, which to me, feels just as fast as logitech’s lightspeed. And 2) a similar build so there isn’t much discomfort from changing mice. The $60 price point is worth it based on the fact that both mice similar to this are $140+ in price from both logitech and Razer. Dont expect any RGB with this mouse though (I dont mid it), but it doesn’t really need it. I did have one problem where my computer wasn’t sensing the dongle for a minute, so I had to pull it out and reinsert it. But otherwise it’s been good.

   The photo looks very clear, but it is darker than that. Please note that I DID NOT BUY THIS FOR GAMING. I was just looking for some good wireless mouse and, of course, the most responsive ones are those meant for gaming, so, that’s what I looked for. The product is sober enough to not be as shocking as a gaming mouse with a normal laptop. The mouse has two modes, one that uses Bluetooth and the other that uses the USB port on your laptop with a tiny stick to send the signal. When using with the USB stick, the mouse feels really good, it’s more responsive that way, if you chose to use it with BT, it is Ok, but it feels less a gaming mouse a more a normal mouse with less DPI. Overall I am happy with this mouse, although I think it consumes a lot of batteries. I have been using this mouse for a few months now, but I have changed batteries twice already. I think this is basically normal as the responsiveness and fidelity comes with a price, but I guess this is better to use with rechargeable batteries.

    The PixArt PAW3369 optical sensor installed here, in my subjective opinion, does not belong to the PMW3360 family and is more similar to the PMW3325 modification, or something similar, judging by the appearance of the microcircuit and lens. It behaves very decently at low resolutions, withstands a low lift-off height, has no stalls and does not suffer from linearity of the trajectory. The only things is that the test program records a high level of anti-aliasing. However, this may be due to wireless data transmission. At higher resolutions, more than 4000 cpi, the cursor can “jump”, the tracking accuracy is lost. In addition, the separation height calibration begins to work in a peculiar way. The height increases linearly with the resolution, as if it were related to it. And so it continues until the reassignment of the height in the driver. Therefore, there is an option that this is a flaw in the sensor firmware. In general, the sensor is suitable for active FPS games, provided it is used at resolution not exceeding 4000 cpi

    I have been using the DeathAdder for as long as I can remember. I bought this mouse to switch over to wireless. I am done with cables and anything I can change to 2.4GHz, I’ll change. Two things that brought me to this mouse is the price and the thumb rest. To me, it is very annoying to have to hold your thumb along the side so I thought this would be a great idea. To my delight it was great for my thumb when I tried it out; however, I noticed something on the other side of the mouse. The point where the right mouse click button meets the base of the mouse is right where my (right) ring finger wants to rest. This is very uncomfortable because the gap is quite large and the overhang of the plastic is sharp. **** Disclaimer ****** it does not pinch you in any way. It just scratches up against your finger which gets old after awhile. If the underside bezel was smooth I don’t think I would mind the feel at all. My solution thus far has been to place it on top with the middle finger (both on the right mouse click button) but this causes accidental miss clicks as the combined weight of two fingers is difficult to manage. The other option has been to “curl” it back towards my wrist along the side of my mouse which seems to be a reliable (yet undesired in my case) solution. Because of this reason I am returning the mouse. There’s nothing wrong with it and it looks amazing. For $60, this anti-rgb mouse has just the right amount of gaming look while still matching any desk aesthetic. Unfortunately, it just isn’t for me. If you are looking at this mouse and you have never had a problem with mice of this shape, do not worry I am sure it will be great for you. If you come from a more flowing and curvy mouse (like the deathadder) then I would look elsewhere as the ergonomics are quite different.

    Antes de realizar la compra de este mouse, tenia grandes expectativas del mouse pues la marca es una de las mas conocidas de todo el mercado, mi principal miedo con este mouse es que tuviese latencia para jugar pero la latencia es inexistente en los dos modos ( Bluetooth y HyperSpeed ), cuando me llego me lleve una gran impresión pues el mouse es bastante pequeño, en cuanto al agarre es supremamente cómodo, por parte de la batería , llevo 3 semanas usándola casi todo el tiempo y sigue con bastante batería, ahora el apartado mas importante de todos, como se desempeña en los videojuegos, sin duda alguna puedo garantizar que es el mejor mouse de todos por el precio que tiene, es muy preciso y los movimientos son muy fluidos y presisos, soy jugador de Counter Strike y el mouse JAMAS me ha fallado en algún movimiento que he hecho, si ustedes quieren comprar este mouse la pregunta que se deben de hacer no es si vale o no la pena, es, Que estoy esperando para comprármelo?

    Great mouse, my old Corsair had a switch go out and would double click. I was in need of something new and didn’t want to break the bank getting something insanely expensive. This Razer mouse was a good price I was between the wired Deathadder or this wireless Basilisk. I was worried about wireless latency but, I had heard that wireless has come a long way and is now really good with the Razer Hyperspeed Technology. Once I got it I noticed it fit my hand really well, not too big not too small. I have decently big hands and was scared it might be too small but, no, It was perfect. The Synapse program was quick and easy to setup. I use 800 dpi and it’s been really nice. I haven’t felt like it has missed a beat or skipped around, actually smooth. No fancy colored leds and personally that was a plus for me, I wasn’t looking to pay extra for something that didn’t help me in games. Still looks really good imo and the panels to swap batteries stays put but also comes off easily when it comes time to change the battery. 100% I recommend this mouse if you want something flashy look else where, if you want wireless gaming performance get it!

    Very simple mouse however I am pleased with the comfortability while using it. I also use a Razer Naga regularly and the Basilisk is noticably more comfortable, I wish my Naga had the thumb rest on the side like this does. Software is easy to configure and you can set 4 different levels of DPI to switch between by pressing the button right below the thumb wheel. This does take a single AA battery and since purchasing I’m still on the same battery and I even left this on for hours on accident. There are also forward and backward buttons on the left side of it that come in handy while working or browsing the internet. This is also a very light mouse, the battery provides about 85% of the weight and it feels good overall. Price wise I got this for $40 on sale, I would not pay anymore than that.

    I absolutely loved the mouse till the middle mouse wheel stopped working. The mouse is advertised as follows – “Durable Mechanical Switches: Supports up to 50 million clicks, backed by a 2 year warranty” I have owned the mouse since November of 2022, which puts me at about 6 months of ownership at the time of this review. I contacted RAZER support, on April 11, as the mouse was within the warranty period, and had become unusable (using at work with AUTOCAD and other modeling software packages – I need and utilize the middle mouse button functionality) [50,000,000 clicks / (6 months * 31 days) = 268,817 clicks per day] to give some perspective, there are only 86400 seconds in a day. If your wondering, no, I did not sit around the clock, clicking the middle mouse button 3.11 times a second. Just wanted to make that crystal clear. After back and forth with their tech support, being handed off to representative after representative, they kept asking me for pictures of the mouse, next to a sticky note with the support number handwritten… Jumped through all their hoops, and today they finally got back to me. “Here at Razer, we believe it is our duty to protect the security of our customers. For the protection of your information, we are not able to provide an RMA for your device. We believe that one or more of the pieces of information below does not match our records: 1. Product Registration 2. Proof of Purchase 3. Address Information At this time, we will be closing your case. Razer takes a zero-tolerance policy against falsified or doctored information, and as a result, Razer will not be able to provide you service. You case/claim has been closed. Sincerely, Razer Support” While I appreciate their commitment to customer security. What else can I do? I purchased the mouse under the perception that I would be able to use this product for 2 years, worry-free… and then when it broke, and I’m accused of fraud??? smh Puts a sour taste in my mouth for sure. Hope others have a better experience then me! (Updating 02APR25, down to 1 star because Im sour over this terrible customer service from Razer I have since purchased multiple logitech devices and have been especially impressed with the Logitech G502 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse. Similar form factor to this mouse, with programmable buttons. Additionally, no buttons have stopped functioning with heavy use!)

    El mouse cumple su función totalmente que es para juegos, su alta cantidad de DPI hace que se pueda ajustar como a uno más le acomode y guste, personalmente me cuesta un poco adaptarme ya que es mi primer mouse gaming de estas prestaciones, pero he podido configurar el mouse a mi manera y ya lo siento mega hiper cómodo, suave y con muy buena ergonomía. Tiene materiales de construcción muy bien hechos, se siente y nota que es de calidad, todos sus botones son suaves y ninguno vino con imperfecciones. NO TIENE RGB, es un mouse totalmente sin luces ni esas cosas, pero eso le da un toque de elegancia al tenerlo combinado con matices del mismo color del mouse. También he de añadir que este mouse es inalámbrico y que no tiene ningún ”lag” o retraso de clicks, las reacciones de cada click y movimiento del mouse son totalmente parecidas con un mouse por cable. Totalmente recomendable su compra y más si esta en oferta, sin duda 10/10.

    Too be honest I didn’t expect too much out of this mouse when I purchased it. I was just looking for a reasonably priced wireless mouse to use on my laptop from time to time. I normally use my desktop PC on a daily basis so I opted for a top of the line mouse for that setup. This Razer mouse is really smooth and responsive. It’s simple with no RGB lighting which makes it really slick looking and inconspicuous in my opinion. The Razer Synapse software is even pretty handy to have as well if you opt to install it, it’s a very light software (no bloatware). The response time when the mouse comes out of sleep mode is surprisingly fast compared to other wireless devices I’ve used too. Honestly I can’t think of anything negative to say regarding this product as of yet. I would definitely buy it again and recommend it!

    So far I have found it to be an excellent mouse, considering that I come from using other mice from ryzer, but not dedicated to games, previously I used a razer atheris for the laptop and a razer deathadder for the desktop PC, the DPI cannot be compared with the basilisk, this one has 16000 DPI it took me a few days to get used to it, the configuration through the dongle is very easy, it’s just plug and play, the system takes care of downloading what is needed for the device to work, referring to the razer software, I’m not a big fan, the customization of the buttons for other uses is interesting, but I’ve never seen it useful, you can also configure it to work via bluetooth, which is also very easy and does not require the use of the dongle, this can be stored inside the mouse, the OS in my case Windows gives an approximate percentage of the battery status, the same does the razer app, another note is that the battery life is longer if used via bluetooth, but I don’t know taking into account that the super-fast response of the mouse will be compromised, in summary it is a robust mouse, but light, the construction material feels better, not like the deathadder, which feels cheaper, by the way this mouse works with only one battery, not like the atheris that requires two.

    I ordered this to replace my G602 which was having left button issues, already had a warranty replacement, and I did not want to go with the updated G604 due to the software. This was about half the price and just lacks a few of the side buttons which I can probably live without. There is a hyperswitch function that allows you to hold a button to give a 2nd mapping for all mouse buttons, however this mouse does not have the hypershift button on it. The DPI toggle button below the mouse wheel is the only real button to assign as hypershift but it is incredibly difficult to press that and any other buttons. I’m not willing to give up my back or forward buttons for it. If you own a Razer keyboard (which I do not) there may be a function key on that which will perform the hypershift. The battery cover is held on by 3 magnets which is pretty cool and reasonably assures it will never loosen up over time. The inside corner of it was especially sharp and stuck out from the mouse though, poking the bottom of my thumb with even a light grip. Thankfully the plastic is very soft and I was able to grind it down with a few scrapes on some concrete and barely feel it now. Some smoother sandpaper will probably finish the job completely. I am showing a picture of what I did to make that feel better. The left and right click buttons are fairly loud with some echo to them but it’s not horrible. The mouse wheel is very firm with solid clicks, comparatively little effort to press the mouse wheel button, but it still has a nice snap. The mouse feels lighter in the hand than the G602 but it is still solid. Overall it is looking like a good pick, hopefully the battery life performs well but comparing to the G602 which needed 2 AA batteries, this only needs one, so my rechargeable stash will likely go for longer.

    Great comfortable mouse. I wanted to get more comfortable mouse that would match my Anne Pro 2 keyboard. I don’t consider myself an intense gamer but got hooked to chess online last year and having a good mouse is important. Especially with the faster time control games under 3 min. Plus I wanted something that was better than my standard wireless mouse to use for work and home. I love the comfort, response, style and how it’s bluetooth and able to use with 2.4G usb receiver. I was worried it wouldn’t work great with my mac and it does. Unlike another brand gaming mouse I had to use the software to adjust the DPI. This works great by pressing the middle button. In all I am keeping this mouse and would recommend it.

    The Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed Gaming Mouse is not just for gaming. With multiple buttons and a scroll wheel that can be quickly customized to perform a variety of tasks, I believe it is a perfect companion for the blogger or website designer as well. For Example: The top wheel is also a button I program to perform any cutting. Just highlight the word on the screen like normal and press the wheel down. It is that easy! You can also program the two buttons on the side to perform as your copy and paste, or any other combo that will suit your own needs. I also find that the Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed to be quite comfortable with my larger hands. I wear a XL glove and find the mouse fits perfectly into my palm and my fingers lay right into place. All the buttons are easily accessible, and their placement has been well thought out. I am not a gamer, so do not have anything to share on that subject, but I would imagine it would be a great mouse for that as well. Highly Recommended.

    I have been using an old Logitech G500 wireless mouse for about 2 months with my new gaming laptop and it just wasn’t cutting it for first person shooters. The simple mouse is fine for web browsing and general internet use but was laggy and just way too sluggish for twitch-style shooters. Because of that, I started looking for a reasonably priced, wireless, gaming mouse. After reading a bunch of reviews and having mostly good experience with Razer I ordered the Basilisk X Hyperspeed and I could not be happier. The mouse is ultra-responsive, the on-the-fly DPI adjustment is great, the shape is super comfortable with the integrated thumbrest and it’s light but not too light. I’m about to order another one for my gaming desktop and relegate my older, Logitech G600 MMO mouse to just MMO duty. The dual-radio function is also really handy. You can use the included 2.4GHz “HyperSpeed” USB receiver with one computer and then also pair the mouse to another computer/device over USB. With a flip of a switch on the bottom of the mouse you can switch between devices instantly. I was also surprised to see that Razer didn’t even skimp with some cheap, no-name Chinese-branded battery. They included a Energizer Max battery. A small touch but definitely a nice one.
