This is my first mechanical keyboard, and I really love the feel. My typing feels faster and more powerful, and the clicks are extremely satisfying once you get used to the noise. If you go to the Razer website and download the drivers, you get a nice on screen customization tool to re-map any key to a macro or other key of your choice. It’s super handy for remapping those out-of-reach keys or disabling capslock or other things you find yourself hitting unintentionally while gaming. I also love that the keys activate when half-pressed, so you’re always that little bit faster than you would normally be. Overall, it has a very solid and fast feel, and it would be really hard to go back to a non-mechanical keyboard after experiencing this. go-keyboard.com’s shipping was the fastest I’ve ever had, and I was so pleased I plan to buy all my tech gear from here now instead of Ncix.com, who always delayed shipment and took forever to process my orders.

This is a fantastic keyboard for the price. I have heard that Razer had some issues with product build quality, however these claims don’t represent my experience with them, and that is reflected in the quality of this keyboard. For those of you who do not know the technicalities of mechanical keyboards, do your research. This keyboard is outfitted with Cherry MX Blue switches, and there is no denying it, they are LOUD. They click-clack and provide fantastic response while typing. I am now switching keyboards to the Das Keyboard Ultimate for layout reasons. This keyboard has macro-keys on the outside and can be problematic if you are used to a traditional keyboard. The escape key is also not at the far end of the board like other traditional set-ups and this might be a problem for some. I am a student as use this keyboard mainly to write papers and play Starcraft II. Again, great keyboard, if you are entering the world of mechanical keyboards, this is certainly one of the best options out there, if not the best.

It’s not bad while gaming, keys were fast and responsive. However, it was very noisy, closed doors wouldn’t contain it haha. It lasted me around a year until it died on me. Felt a bit cheap for its price tho.

had this keyboard for a few months now and its been awesome. i love the way it feels when typing or playing games with it. the only issue i have is the glossy finish it gets quite dirty but isnt too big of a deal for me because i dont look at it when i use it much and its easy to get something and wipe it down so its clean again.

Mechanical keys really are awesome, and you have to try one to see what the difference between them and normal keyboards are. Every other keyboard feels mushy in comparison to me, even after a few days of use. No doubt they will still take awhile to get used to, to break the habits that are apparent in standard membrane keyboards (ie. bottoming out keys). But the feel of mechanical keys and the tactility and clicks are great.
Before buying the keyboard, I had read some bad reviews and feedback about some of the keyboards having bad quality control. So I was a little worried. But I’ve got the keyboard, and it’s in perfect condition.
The finish is glossy, and so it definitely is a finger and dust magnet, but it’s not a dealbreaker and I don’t really mind.
Switch to mechanical keyboards! I know I will like them more and more as I get used to it.
