This is a great keyboard. I bought this because work only provided me with a choice of whatever keyboards came with some other computers from way back when. At home I use the BlackWidow Ultimate but my girl said that my coworkers would kill me if I bought one of those to use at work. This is not loud and clicky, but it isn’t silent like what comes with a Dell desktop.
Pros: Just the right amount of key travel, no click from the switch, just the key hitting the bottom. Great feel (subjective I know) but you can tell immediately if you screw up while typing. The keyboard has quite a bit of weight to it which I love because it isn’t going anywhere, so it stays put and looks awesome on any desk. There’s plenty of cord, which is braided and I appreciate the USB port on the side.
Cons: This model does not have the backlight. The USB port on the side of the keyboard has its own dedicated plug which looks like the keyboard plug except that one is marked Razor. A hub config with USB ports on both sides would be nice and would make the cable thinner and more manageable. No cons whatsoever on the actual performance of the keys themselves.

Keyboard was decent but I was never happy with the feel of the keys. Now 2 months after my warranty is up the R key either doesn’t work or repeats 2-3 times per stroke. My last keyboard came with a desktop I bought in the 90’s and still works flawlessly, I expected this to last forever for 92 dollars. I looked into it and it’s a very common problem. First and last Razor product I’ll buy.

I got a defective one like so many others. I didn’t want to believe it could happen to me but it did. $100 keyboard that doesn’t work right out of the box. Astonishing. The “F” key would fire multiple times even though the switch came back up. The backspace key didn’t work sometimes either. Razer boasts 60 million key presses well I didn’t get 100. They also insist they have a lovely warranty. If you want to take them up on it, you have to pay for shipping and some customers have reported waiting for longer than a month for their replacement. Don’t bother.
This company obviously has no quality control. You’ve been warned. 🙂

Just as good as all the other BlackWidows, plus cheaper than them too. What’s not to like? It’s a great, cheap mechanical keyboard.

I bought this as an entry into both the Mechanical and Gaming Keyboard world. I’d heard so much about mechanical keyboards and the mystical wonders they possess. Now that I’m working I use a keyboard pretty much 8 hours a day and decided to treat myself. My reasoning being that if I like the keyboard I will buy the same for at home to use for gaming. That being said….
I will be buying one of these, probably the Ultimate Edition for the back lighting, for home! The feel is fantastic and I like the reduced noise. The USB port and headphone/mic jacks seal the deal. Overall this is a fantastic keyboard and I would recommend it to anyone. I couldn’t ask for much more in a keyboard.

When first using the keyboard after using a standard mechanical keyboard, i found myself a very bad typer due to the macro keys because my hands are more centralized on the keyboard. This keyboard is already beginning to feel comfortable and I recommend this to any type of gamer. The keys do feel tight though, they arent so easy to press as other keyboards. You can barely touch the key and it will register.
