   Let me start by saying that this keyboard costs 120us$, if you purchase something this expensive you will expect: * Excellent Quality * Excellent Customer Support * No problems like for 3 or 4 years (you can buy a 10us$ keyboard which would last for like a year) * Excellent functionality Right out of the box everything was all glowy and sparkly, until i plugged it, the first thing i noticed was that (for 4 months) whenever i pressed the left ctrl key it stucks, had to press it again so it will go up, i had that problem for like 4 months after i (think) it got scrapped with the keyboards surface or something and so it won’t stuck anymore The second issue (please check the last image i uploaded in the product images) was that when i started typing the keyboard started to dance, no this is not an extra function, not even close, i checked the back of the keyboard to see if something was there, nothing, there was nothing in my table, then i grabbed the manuals and putted them below the keyboard, MAGIC! i wanted to facepalm myself for buying this expensive chinese keyboard, i can’t return it because i’m from Paraguay. Now (and until the keyboard dies) i am using 2 cardboards stucked with superglue so the keybord can be balanced and all the tips of the keyboard can touch the table. I’ve read a lot of reviews and 7/10 Razer Products have problems right outta the box, that it counting all the reviews POSTED, there are a lot of people who have their damaged razer products and never said anything about it, so you need to ask yourself is this is the kind of keyboard you will like to spend your money? The first time i saw razer i loved the packaging of their stuff, the look they had, but that is just it, there’s nothing but that, i have a razer blackwidow ultimate, a razer vespula mousepad, a razer naga mouse, and i’m dealing with issues with all of them, so it’s not about the keyboard itself, it looks like they spend almost everything in advertising and style, so they’re with a lack of money for quality. If i were you i’d rather wait a bit for a restock of any of these keyboards (please note that i do not have any kind of business relationtip with corsair, i just don’t like customers being lied with this kind of products/brands) […] I apologize for spelling errors as English is not my native language.

   never thought i will write an bad review about expensive keyboard. a bit about myself, i am a big fan of IBM model M keyboard. i still have an uni comp keyboard made just like the Model M (buckle spring). the downside is that those keyboards all came with PS2 interface, i needed something with USB and a window key, and that was how Black Widow came to my view. so let’s start with the good. 1. good typing feel. 2. very polished surface. 3. looks very cool. the bad: 1. very polished surface, finger print magnet. 2. quality control on the keys. 3. a bunch of non-sense keys that are in the way (M1 to M5 keys)if you don’t use it to play game. (this is actually much worse than i expected, part of reason why i decide to return the keyboard even though i know how to fix it). if you like typing, like using keyboard to navigate the webpage, and like to use all the short cuts, you may want to think twice about those non-sense keys. they REALLY get in the way. the ugly: sticking keys. my first set of the keyboard came in two days ago. it was nice, but i had trouble pressing space bar, after looking closely, i found that the space bar overlap with the left Alt key. sometime i ended up pressing both keys when i just want to press the space bar. well. no big deal. i just ask for a replacement unit. a day later, the replacement unit came (thanks go-keyboard.com, i cannot say enough good things about you). knowing what i know, i took out the keyboard and start testing the space key. well… it no longer stick with the left Alt key, but now it sticks with the right Alt key. after talking with go-keyboard.com support staff, i will return both keyboards and go for something else. it is not difficult to fix, the keys only overlap on the edge, so one can file the edge and that will make the problem go away. but if i am dumping 74 dollars on a keyboard, i expect keys that doesn’t stuck to begin with. one last thing. the key are modified version of cherry blue, it is lighter which may or may not suit your typing style.

   This is hands down the best keyboard I’v ever used. The mechanical keys have a fantastic feel and almost everyone I know who used it can type faster on it. The back lighting is awesome for using in a low light situation and looks beautiful. The braided cable is rugged and durable as well the gold connections are a nice touch. I don’t relay use the microphone and headphone jacks but the are well build and function very well and the weight of this keyboard keeps me from moving it around accidentally. The only thing I would have changed is making the secondary functions as well as the function key backlit as well.

   I wasn’t sure if this keyboard really worth the price it costs. I really wanted a good mechanical keyboard and I was not sure if I should buy a DAS keyboard or a Razer keyboard. I read some bad review on the Razer keyboard concerning the assembly quality but the fact the it has more features than the DAS keyboard made me buy it. I end up to be really happy with my purchase. The key press feelling is great and it is more easy to type than my old g110. The USB, microphone, speaker ports work all great.

   I don’t really agree with the bad reviews I read on that keyboard since it feels really durable and works flawlessly.

   The only downside is for the rare gamer who key binds on the right side of the keyboard. The “make a macro” button gets in the way… but most gamer put there left hand on the left side… so it’s not a huge issue. the key presses feel nice.
