For 219.00 dollars the damn thing should come in a counseled box not just a box with a label slapped on it. The keyboard it self works amazing. Love the product but go-keyboard.com screwed up and sent a product from a return bin rather than unopened.

   This is by far the best keyboard offering from razer. This is the top of the line razer keyboard so I won’t go into many of the pros because this is a great keyboard at the end of the day, but to just list a few: the optical switches are a dream and I find myself not wanting to use any other keyboard, the mutable volume knob and other three other macro’s are incredibly useful, and finally the biggest one is that you can fine tune depth sensitivity on the fly. For the cons, a glaring one is the wrist rest. It is just hard plastic with fake leather, and no padding. That aspect feels like a downgrade compared to their other keyboards. The other major con is synapse. Having to download it for the lighting and macros are one thing, but it locks you out of on board sensitivity control without downloading it because it is set on the factory profile and locked.

    This arrives well packaged in a very descriptive yet eco friendly box (as Razer calls it). The keyboard itself is very well made. This keyboard is 5 out of 5 rating just in its build quality. Unfortunately the software and everything else you must go through to set it up drops that rating from me to 3 or 3 1/2. I am just going to list the problems I had trying to use this. Some of these problems are I am sure my fault and normally I am a very patient person, but this keyboard showed me maybe I am not as patient as I thought. My first test of this keyboard was just the basic functions without any software. It worked ok but I could not get all the functions to work that the instructions said would work. Specifically I could not get some led light patterns to show at all. They are suppose too, I pressed the correct keys, however they did not work. They did work when the synapse software was installed. During this first test, I apparently did not play any games that support gaming controllers. Had I done so I would have found out a bigger problem that is suppose to have an easy solution, that in reality is not so easy. My second test came when I built my new computer (Ryzen 7800x3d, Nvidia rtx 4070 Ti Super). New windows 11 install, I installed synapse software, and that is where things got a bit worse. It is very complicated to set up this keyboard. I frankly do not understand how to do it and most of what I tried did not work. For example, I got the rgb effects working by using a quick effect (rainbow wave), but I could not adjust the speed of the wave. It was greyed out, and going into other menu’s it was completely unclear what to do. No matter what I tried it stayed greyed out, and I just gave up. Setting key travel was much the same way. I got frustrated and gave up. Worst part was when I started FallOut 76, a game that supports game controllers. It saw the Huntsman keyboard as a game controller, so it locked me in the first menu and I could not get out without using ctrl/alt/del. I researched online what to do, and tried to do that (disabling game controller support and HID game controller in device manager), and it did not work. In my case for some reason in device manager there are a number of HID devices and more than one controller listed. None say game controller, they just say controller. I tried the best I could but I just got so frustrated that I uninstalled the software, removed the Razer keyboard and Cobra mouse, and replaced them with another keyboard and mouse I have. I have had zero problems since then and everything works the way it should. At some point, maybe in a couple of months or a year from now, I will try again. I am sure part of the problem was me, and my inability to figure out how to get everything to work. It is the most difficult and frustrating experience I have ever had with a keyboard. I still think it is well made, and many others seem much more adept at getting this keyboard to work correctly than I am. I will try again at some point, I just have no desire to do it anytime soon. I would rate this keyboard at 5 out of 5 for build quality, 3 or 3.5 in practical use for the software and everything else.

    so I already have this keyboard for like 5 months its been doing great and the lighting is amazing but the price it’s a bit high i would recommend if you are playing CSGO.and the sound of the keyboard is pretty Nice if you the sound of mechanical switches and it looks beautiful it’s smaller than i expected that might just be me tho but the build quality is nice and sturdy it feels very comfortable and mechanical. So my overall opinion its great if your willing to spend the extra money.

    You’re probably checking this out because of the analog-style keys, which are a departure from the typical “on/off” actuation of keys on a normal keyboard. With this keyboard, the farther down you press a key, the greater the input value is reported. This means keys can be remapped as analog joystick axes, which I suspect is one of the main reasons to own this type of keyboard. The keyboard itself is light, and a bit cheap-feeling. It’s mostly plastic, with a thin aluminum plate for the deck. The double-shot, shine-through keycaps are nice, with that nice PBT texture. They appear to be OEM profile. It’s possible to swap them out if you want. The switches are linear, which I think is appropriate for gaming. They have good resistance and they feel pretty good to type on. They’re not hot-swappable, but that’s not a surprise considering they’re not your typical keyboard switches. Now about the Synapse software that nobody seems to like: Well, it works, but it’s not great. Upon keyboard detection, Windows pops up the Razer installer screen automatically (you have to actually click to download). My version was over 500MB(!) without any extensions. There are 6 Windows processes, and 5 that stay active after the software is closed. Wow. Thankfully, you don’t need to create a Razer account to use Synapse (log in as guest). You can remap almost all the keys, adjust the actuation point for the keys individually and assign keys to analog joystick axes. Once you set everything up with the profiles you want, you can uninstall the bloated software as the keyboard stores your settings to its internal memory. You may still need it for the gaming features, for example when you’ve remapped keys to analog joystick axes. Here’s what you can do without Synapse installed: • Change profiles • Adjust RGB color patterns • Adjust the actuation point for all keys With 60% keyboards like this one, you pretty much have to live without arrow keys, which is not ideal. You can address this in two ways: either remap the keys to the arrow keys, or configure them as “dual function” keys where a tap is an arrow key, but holding the key down triggers its normal function. This just happens to work well with alt, ctrl and shift since those are typically used as modifiers anyway. This also leaves the forward slash key untouched, which is useful if you frequently type in file paths. I’m not a fan of the recessed USB-C port. This makes it impossible to use certain types of cables with wide plugs, which may be all you have available in a pinch. It adds nothing to the design in my opinion, and just makes your life harder. The bottom line is this is a decent keyboard with some clever innovations, but the Razer Synapse software could be better. It’s probably not a dealbreaker, but I would only recommend this keyboard if you absolutely need the analog key feature.
