Die ab Werk verbauten Switches klingen wirklich sehr angenehm – ein bisschen wie als wenn Murmeln aus Marmor sanft zusammenstoßen… wirklich schön, aber auch viel zu laut fürs Büro. Entsprechend werde ich noch leisere Switche verbauen.
Die Verarbeitung ist großartig, keine Taste ist schwergängig, den Drehknauf möchte ich nicht mehr missen und eine gute Tastatur mechanische kleine Tastatur mit dem QWERTZ Layout zu finden ist gar nicht so leicht.
Die Tastatur ist angenehm schwer und das Gehäuse ist so gut verbaut, dass auch bei einem festen Klopfen an die Seiten absolut nichts wackelt oder scheppert. Jede Taste klingt ganz alleine für sich, ohne das sich irgendetwas auf andere Bestandteile der Tastatur überträgt… ein wirklich angenehmes Tippgefühl.
Ich habe mich für die blaue Variante entschieden. Das blau ist etwas dunkler als auf den Produktbildern, aber ich finde das so auch viel besser.

Right out of the box, this version of the RK R65 looks and feels great. Royal Kludge keyboards are always reliably good quality. If you don’t know what kind of mechanical keyboard to buy, consider Royal Kludge keyboards, and you can be assured that you’re getting a good quality mechanical keyboard. I have another version of the RK R65 – the wired versions with the MDA profile keycaps. It has only a USB-C cable connection with no other connection options. As much as I like that keyboard, I thought it would be improved with wireless connection options, and an option for cherry profile keycaps. So it’s almost as if Royal Kludge heard my wishes and added these features. • Layout RK R65 is a 60% keyboard with 66 keys. It doesn’t have the F1-F12 keys, but it does have dedicated arrow keys and Page Up / Page down keys, which are essential for me. It’s a good, useful layout that takes up less room on your desk. • Features There is a knob that controls volume on the upper right side of the keyboard. • Connection RK R65 has a tri-mode connection – 2.4 GHz/Bluetooth/wired. The 2.4 GHz receiver is stored in the top of the keyboard in a magnetic storage slot. I can confirm that the Bluetooth connection is solid and strong. • In the Box: RK R65 comes with a USB-C cable, a combo keycap/switch puller, and four extra switches. • Hot Swappable: RK R65 is hot swappable with both 3- and 5-pin switches. I’ve confirmed that it can fit Gateron, Kailh, and KTT switches with no problems. • Keycaps: The RK R65 has double-shot PBT keycaps in cherry profile. I love the unique colorway. I got the blue keyboard, and the two shades of blue with the cream-colored keycaps look great together. • RGB The lights are south-facing, and they are bright and vibrant. • Conclusion: I really enjoy typing on the RK R65. Royal Kludge has reliable build quality, and this is a very nice, creamy-sounding keyboard that feels well-made. I really enjoy the stock Cream switches. I also really like that they’ve added wireless connection options. I recommend the Royal Kludge R65.

I love the keyboard. Some of the keys on my old one stopped working and I was looking for a replacement. I don’t know anything about the differences in keyboard but I was looking for something that had a very soft mellow buttery type sound and I have really been enjoying this so far. It has a lot of color customization but after playing around with it for a bit I found one that I liked and haven’t changed it since. I charge it once a week with a USBC charger and it is very reliable.

This is probably one of the best introductory and budget friendly mechanical keyboards out there. The cream switches feel and sound great right out of the box. You can connect your keyboard in Bluetooth and via wireless dongle. There are also numerous rgb backlight options available. This was honestly a blind buy and I LOVE IT. I was worried that the cream switches weren’t gonna feel the way I wanted them to but it’s perfect. In most videos in these reviews it sounds a lot more clicky on camera but they are a lot thunkier in person. Very soft (creamy) sounding and the material of the keyboard is amazing for the price point. LOVE this color as well, gorgeous. Highly recommend for keyboard lovers! 🙂

This is a gaming keyboard, and I am not a gamer, however, I can truly appreciate this keyboard. The triple mode connection is really cool. You can connect this keyboard to your computer in 3 different way, and they all work seamlessly and quickly. The backlights are pretty cool, but what I love the most is the volume controller. Once connected to your computer, you can turn sound off and on, up or down with the volume knob. This is very convenient! As for being quiet, I’m not sure I would call it any quieter than other keyboards, but it is not ridiculously loud, so I have no complaint there. This keyboard works great and is really impressive.

Nice little keyboard. The switches it comes with are a little too clicky for my personal preference but that’s just me. I’m not super into mechanical keyboards, so I can’t get very technical but I tried it out for a few days first before giving it to my son, who uses his computer for light gaming. I know, probably not very helpful. My personal RK keyboard (RK96) is all I have to compare it to. With my RK96 there’s.. not the greatest battery life when using wirelessly and sometimes there’s major lag in key response, but haven’t experienced anything with this keyboard.

My attached photo does not show the original keycaps, they are the XVX Fugaku MOA. Love this keyboard. Solid build quality, excellent type feel, and sounds nice and thocky. There are switch pads already installed, and does not really need any modding. Taking off one star because I’ve had issues with my VIA profile being wiped when I use Bluetooth or 2.4Ghz mode. Not sure what the issue is there, but it doesn’t happen when I only use wired mode.

For an affordable brand keyboard, I am extremely impressed with the build quality, feel, and performance of this keyboard. From the unboxing experience, to the setup, this keyboard has been a joy to type on, feels much higher end than the price tag suggests, at just $65 with a current coupon available for 20% off, I don’t think you can find a much better keyboard for the value. The typing and form-factor of this keyboard is excellent. Typing just feels really natural on it, I didn’t need any adjustment to the keyboard, out of the box I could type amazing on this keyboard, which speaks greatly to the form-factor and key arrangement. It is a low profile keyboard, I will mainly be using this as a travel keyboard and a keyboard to quickly connect to my iPad for reviews, works excellently for that as I am typing my review on it currently. Keys feel great, a bit softer than a silver or red switch, more towards a brown switch but feel really tactile and response, probably my favorite mechanical switch feel on any keyboard I have tried so far, and I have tried a lot including Logitechs, Machenike, etc. All macros and volume knob works great even on the iPad, the knob isn’t smooth but has distinct notches which feel great. RGB effects on the keyboard are great, it is a backlight and individual keys aren’t lit for night typing which sucks, but RGB looks great and easy to cycle through with the hotkeys. Overall construction feels great, the keyboard is sturdy, no rattles, firm in place with the anti-slip feet, riser legs work great, and the keyboard is low enough profile without raising to not fatigue fingers like some other chunky mechanical keyboards I have tried. Overall for the price, you can’t get much more, excellent build quality, responsive keys, great mechanical feel, built like a tank, I can’t recommend this keyboard enough, you need to try it!

This is the first mechanical keyboard I’ve ever owned and I love it! The design of it is very aesthetically pleasing. I’ve only used it in Bluetooth mode and I haven’t had any issues at all. The charge seems to last a good amount of time, I don’t have an exact number, but I’ve only had to charge it once so far and I use it every day. If you don’t want the keyboard laying flat, there are two height adjustments on the bottom that you can make. The RGB lights are very nice on this item and the volume knob works perfectly. It comes with 4 Hot Swap switches and the tool to remove them. I’ll have to look up why/when you would swap them out as right now I’m not totally sure. It also comes with a “cheat sheet” for how to control everything, including how to set it for a windows or mac system, which is a really nice touch. The only “con” I can think of is that it’s kind of loud using this keyboard. I’m sure I’ll get used to it, but it’s way louder than my previous board. But, like I said, this is my first mechanical board, so maybe this is an average loudness. Overall, I think this is a fantastic keyboard and very highly recommend it!

love the color and the sounds of the switches are quite nice stock. i did opt to switch the keycaps for a shine-through look and put in different switches for a deeper sound. sometimes the bluetooth will act up but disconnecting and reconnecting will do the trick. battery life is really good for each charge and a lot of rgb options to cycle through. this is an amazing keyboard to mod definitely worth it, it was my favorite purchase of the year as a student.

I wanted a dedicated gaming keyboard that was solidly built, and had that nice switch click that I really enjoy. Very compact, but with full size keys. Communicates 3 different ways, wireless, bluetooth or usb, which is also used to charge it. It includes feet with 2 different height settings, which is a nice touch. I honestly bought this with low expectations but this is honestly one of the best purchases i made. I love the cream switches and love the color scheme on here by default. Saved me a ton of money on switches and key caps. Having it be a Bluetooth keyboard is a plus as I hate cables. There’s no delay I can notice and the RGB looks amazing.
