I love this keyboard, and I feel very fortunate to have it! This is a gaming keyboard, and it does so many things right it would be a bargain at twice the price! Firstly, quality construction. Feels and looks like it would last indefinitely. Second, great key switches. Very quiet, very responsive. Perfect for gaming! Third, no num pad. I like full size keyboards but I rarely use the num pad. Without the num pad, I have more room to move my mouse while gaming. I also like the fact that while RK removed the num pad, the remaining keys are in the exact positions they would be if the keyboard was full size. I think this is perfect! The keyboard is hot swappable, but I have no idea who would want to change these switches, as they are that good! I guess if any went bad they would be easy to replace. You can also change the key caps to your liking. I like the ones this keyboard comes with just fine. They are quite easy to read. The bottom has multiple height adjustments to find what works best for you. There are also plenty of rubber pads to keep the keyboard firmly in place during use. The cable is not braided, but it is very sturdy yet flexible, and is removable from the keyboard for easy storage or transport, and I guess it can be replaced if necessary. The leds are amazing! A light show to behold! RK put white just under the key caps and this helps make the led colors even more vibrant! There are also led lights on the sides of the keyboard, and they are very bright and as awesome looking as all of the other lights! My pictures do not do justice to how good this keyboard looks! I have absolutely no cons. This is a perfect gaming keyboard at a fantastic price! In my time with various RK Royal Kludge keyboards, I have come to think this company is made up of PC gamers who want you to have as much fun as they do playing games! I think they have certainly accomplished that goal!

I have been using this keyboard for around 1-2 months now. The quality feels good and it looks pretty good. Although, I still do want the RGB to be brighter. It sounds and feels good, the sound it makes is very satisfying. It makes a creamy sound that will not be heard all around the house, like my old keyboard which had cherry red switches. It is quite compared to other keyboards, but I see that as a good thing because like I previously mentioned, people around your house will not hear it. Only those who are close to the keyboard can.

Some keyboards are cheap and for a reason. This keyboard is reasonably priced and typing on it is satisfying and responsive. Definitely feels like a quality keyboard with nice switches. This is my first yellow key switch mechanical keyboard. I am pretty happy with the feel. They are very quiet and soft to press with very little resistance. They are some of the smoothest switches I have used. For typing I like the feeling of an actuation point, but for gaming I prefer something like this. I am keeping it in my laptop bag as a good compact on the go keyboard. It fits well alongside an ASUS Zephyrs 15 inch to not be too big for it in the case. As far as materials it feels premium. The wrapped USB cable also feels great,. There is no deck flex at all in this board, and the RGB looks good and has plenty of options to personalize them. The side RGB is a nice touch, it looks good and gives a kind of under glow look while using. For the price its one of the better 75% keyboards I have gotten my hands on in the sub $200 price range.

The keyboard itself is great; I originally bought new switches to swap with the ones it came with but I actually liked the ones it came with enough to keep them. It feels pretty solid, all things considered. My only issue is the connecting cable. The USB-C that goes into the adapter has bent itself to the point where it doesn’t work anymore, just from the cable being left plugged in and the cable ‘pulling’ on it a little bit. I was surprised by how flimsy this part was! Be very careful with it. Small edit: I contacted the company and they sent me a replacement cable free of charge. Very friendly and helpful customer service!

First of all, this is a really nice keyboard. It is relatively quiet, very smooth, and pretty RGB. It also came with a USB-C cable with a detachable USC adapter. The product description said that the keyboard was compatible with Windows or Mac os, so i didn’t expect it to also work with 4th gen iPad pro. But it does! That was a nice yet unexpected surprise.

functionally and in terms of the features you get for the price it’s fine. but compared to the older rk 87g I have the build quality/feel is a bit lacking. the plastic is smooth in a cheap-feeling way, and the corners are quite sharp. the keycaps also don’t transmit light very well – I swapped the old ones onto the new board and it’s noticeably brighter.

This ten-keyless mechanical keyboard is very nice. The keys do have a clicky sound, but they are not too loud. I wasn’t expecting such great quality from a keyboard at this value- but surprisingly the keycaps don’t feel cheap at all and the design of the case is extremely sleek, especially with the lighting underneath. I opted for yellow switches and a white keyboard. It isn’t too clicky, but has a quieter and more thick sound (less thick in the video, but a bit more in person). The keybinds on the function keys are useful, having buttons to control music, audio, and even open certain applications. If you’re looking for a first mechanical keyboard this is a great choice! My only complaint is that there’s no software to adjust the keyboard lights with- though you are able to do a lot manually through the keyboard itself. Just make sure not to throw out the manual!

This keyboard is amazing. It comes with pre-lubed yellow linear switches (which are also hot-swappable!), and they feel absolutely awesome. The stabilizers on the larger keys is pretty good too; everything on the keyboard feels really well built. It is very comfortable for gaming, with the linear action being very smooth and with a perfect actuation force in my opinion. The cable is nice, it isn’t braided but it doesn’t feel extremely cheap either. Be careful with the adapter though, it’s easy to break it off as the connection with the usb-c end isn-t really strong. It will work nonetheless so it doesn’t bother me. The lighting is very good. Brightness is enough to be seen during the day and definitely during night too. It doesn’t shine in one part more than another, which is a very common problem in budget keyboards. The side light is also pretty powerful too, the colors blend into each other nicely. Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone, as it works for every activity, and if you want to upgrade it, you can at any time!

Man, I love this keyboard. The RBG looks bright and colorful, the tap of the keys isn’t too loud (video for reference), the anti-ghosting works as it should. I’ve been gaming with this just under a week now and I’ve noticed no issues with keys lagging and its performance has been stellar. I appreciate that it doesn’t take up my whole desk and doesn’t feel quite as bulky as my last keyboard. As your average gamer and keyboard user, I’d 100% buy this again and it looks fantastic in my set-up. I will update if I have any issues later on, but as of yet, this is my favorite keyboard to date.

This is an 87 key keyboard and is sized to 80% of full size. This is not a 75% sized keyboard. The listing shows that it is a hot swappable mechanical keyboard. The hot swappable designation refers to the motherboard not needing to have the key switches soldered down so that they can be swapped out for different key switches, providing for different aesthetics while typing. I was able to remove the key caps, then use their included cable puller to pull out the RK Yellow key switchs and swap it out for something else. This was so easy compared to dealing with a soldered key switch. I disconnected the keyboard from the USB cable prior to removing the key caps. This feature is awesome. I really love the sound quality and the push down pressure of the RK Yellow Key Switches; the heavy build quality to the entire keyboard; the RGB lighting and their controls; and the recessed USB-C port that comes out from the back of the keyboard. For all these reasons this keyboard is great. Underneath the keyboard houses pull down angle adjustments for the keyboard. With the angle adjustments pulled out, it’s more comfortable for me to type and the sound aesthetic when actuating a key has just a bit more base since I’m using a large keyboard mat. This keyboard sounds incredible. It’s a wired only format but I don’t usually use my Bluetooth features on my other mechanical keyboard so it’s not that big a deal to me. The key switch puller that comes with the keyboard worked very well in getting underneath the key switch and pulling them out. The key caps that comes with the keyboard has a slightly smaller finger pad surface area with a bit of a deeper curve on the surface which made the key caps feel a bit small for my liking. The feel of the RK Yellow Key Switches along with the solid build of the case makes the keyboard sound incredible. That’s enough for me to give this keyboard a great rating. I do wish the manual had a section regarding pulling a key switch. The video that I’ve included only shows the right most section of the keyboard since I was so please with the sound and build quality of this keyboard that I immediately started to swap out the key caps and didn’t want to include them in the video.

This keyboard is nice and it sounds great, however it will not work unless you have another usbc cable to plug it in with. The stock cable that this came with didn’t not register with my pc, and so none of the keys were working even though it was lit up. Also there is no software that matches the S/N of my keyboard so I can’t change the RGB through a software. Other than these things, the more important things about this keyboard are good.

I ordered this and an Asus ROG strix scope tkl to compare it with. This keyboard feels so much more roomy for my fingers as compared to the Asus. It also sits lower at my palms and is much more comfortable. The lighting is really cool. I must admit the Asus has slightly better lighting, particularly along the front edge and because of that, I really tried to make myself like the Asus better. After a few days of using the Asus and switching back to the RK, I’m going to stick with the RK. In fact had I only ordered the Asus, I probably would’ve returned it and kept shopping. Just couldn’t adapt to the Asus comfort wise. After all, it’s a keyboard and its comfort is way more important than its aesthetic. The key action is better than the Asus in my opinion and it’s just more comfortable. I did visit Micro Center and checked out a variety of brands but you just never know until you get these things home. And for the price, you just can’t beat this. Also, the keys on the are are swappable whereas they are not on the Asus.

This little keyboard has been a great addition to my EDC to the data center or occasional trips to the office. I have not tested the board in games but I suspect it would be just fine for everything up to the most demanding of twitch games. The ability to swap switches solderless is fantastic for a board at this price and the included tool works perfect to pull a switch and its keycap. RGB is bright with no flickering or anomalies and the smooth Cherry Brown style switches are quiet and have a great feel. Love the detachable USB-C and the light bar underneath that throws light onto whatever surface you have the keyboard resting on. Great little board that I highly recommend!

Decent entry level keyboard for those who want to get into keyboards, or those who need a different feeling to play games on. The yellow switches are Royal Kludge branded, which isn’t an issue, just interesting. Switch housing is Kailh style, so an MX style opener won’t work. The board itself is on the thinner side, made of thin plastic, which contributes a lot to the flex and overall feel when typing. Yet the lighter material makes this keyboard a good option for portability and travel. Typing experience is alright, not the best but not the worst. Using a thinner board makes the feel less “premium”, which could just be a personal preference, but it’s definitely prominent. The switches are pretty smooth though, but I opted to lube them further. For the appearance, it looks great! The RGB is decent, and the side RGB is bright enough to reflect off the surface it’s on. Software is very straight forward and easy to use, so programming the RGB and macros is very simple. Overall, decent for an entry level board, just wish the build quality was a tad bit better.

It has enough weight for stability, even while using the two-step feet at the back of the keyboard. The cable can be routed and secured either from the left, center or right of the keyboard giving you enough flexibility to keep the keyboard cable out of the way. I mainly use this for PC, but it also supports MAC. At first look while it is unplugged, the keyboard looks like it has a simple plain white motif with dark gray prints. But once you connect to your computer, you’ll immediately notice the vibrant LED lighting behind the keycaps allowing the light through the characters. Ideal for work during the day where you can turn off all the lighting and for play afterwards where you can set your lighting preference. The keys on the top row has dual functions via the Fn key, aside from the lighting options, includes useful shortcuts that you can use on your regular work day – windows explorer, browser home, mail, calculator and other multimedia controls.

I am sure this keyboard is more technical and feature full than I have the ability to review, but anyone and everyone will be able to appreciate how comfortable this keyboard is for home, work, school or gaming. Several years ago I switched from the large Windows home computer type keyboards of the 2000’s to the completely flat Apple keyboards. It was never really comfortable, but after a while it also felt awkward to go back to the bulky old keys. Since then I’ve tried all different types of mechanical and membrane keyboards and this is by far my favorite. I don’t use this keyboard for gaming but know these are “yellow” switches and I find them more comfortable than red keys. It’s just the right amount of pressure, very smooth for fast typing. The right size and the right height to feel ergonomic and fit nicely on the desk. They are also customizable so if it wasn’t right for me it could be changed, because the backlighting and other features are also fantastic. The RGB lights are smooth and accent your area without being distracting. Five stars!
