The RK ROYAL KLUDGE RK68 Wired Mechanical Keyboard is a delightful surprise! Being a bit of a keyboard enthusiast, I love how easy it is to mod.

The compact 60% layout is perfect for my workspace, and the RGB backlit keys add a cool touch. Swapping out keys is a breeze, making it a joy for someone who likes to personalize their setup.

after modding it a little it looked better but this is a really good budget friendly keyboard, it’s smaller then my last keyboard and i needed that mine was too big for me 😭 but overall it fits the theme of my setup ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡)

Not a bad keyboard for starters, I have built keyboards before and this one for its price is okay, there are better deals out there however. Stabilizers are a bit janky, and after a month use, caps lock would randomly turn on and become very annoying. Keycap quality is decent, a lot of micro chipping on the bottom side.

Picked this up on sale with a $10 coupon on top so paid $43(usd). This board is a smoking deal, bought this to build my kid a board for xmas. I had planned to do foam in the back plate and under the metal deck, IT ALREADY HAS IT! The key caps do leave some to be desired, they are not the best by any means but I bought with the intention of swapping them anyways. Ended up lubing the switches, swapping on a set of keycaps I found here on go-keyboard.com along with O-Rings under the caps, the board turned out phenomenal! I have 2 Ducky OneSF’s laying around one with standard Cherry MX Reds the other MX Red silents, this board now easily beats the Ducky’s on sound and feel. Has a good weight to it with nearly zero board flex. All said and done I’m $65 into this board, ot looks great and now has a great “Thonk” and feel to it when typing that easily trades blows with the $100+ Ducky boards.

This keyboard has a lot of potential. Out of the box it’s fairly good, the keys feel a bit cheap that’s likely because they are on the thin side. I got the red switches which are okay, some were a little crunchy though. The brightness of the lighting is amazing with many different modes 10/10. The board base is solid and with great compatibility. Modifications: HITIME Japanese Keycaps Akko silver switches Tape mod Stabilizer mod and lubed

I got the red switches and really enjoy this keyboard. *Video is with the keyboard at the highest brightness level -Red switches are extremely smooth although a little soft, but that didn’t take long to get used to. – Nice soft sound to them that isn’t too loud. HOWEVER, some keys have a metallic clang to them, that resonates for a little bit and really sounds off compare to the other keys. It’s definitely my biggest complaint. -The adjustable brightness is really nice, the colors are great, and I really love all the different color modes. – I would have liked it to be slightly more inclined, but again, I got used to it pretty quickly. The cable is a bit stiff, even after a few weeks of use it is still pretty kinked so I’ll probably end up replacing it with a braided one eventually. Overall it’s a great entry-level mechanical keyboard and I would definitely recommend it.

When it first came on arrival, the box was completely ripped up, which honestly I didn’t care for cuz what am I gunna do, keep the box? Lmao, But when I opened up the box some of the keys and switches were popping out of the keyboard. I thought that was a lil weird, it felt like every time I would pop back in the keys another one would pop out. But I still hoped for the best, since I was gunna customize it my way anyway. Bought myself some new switches, accidently bent some but was able to fix it, but turns out the keyboard is very nice to use! I would deff use this keyboard as a experiment if you want to fully customize it yourself! I’m very happy with the product right now. The colors are a lot of fun to play with too. 🙂

It is perfect for beginner mechanical keyboard enthusiasts. It comes with pre-lubed stabilizers and sound-deadening foam inside and between the PCB and top layer. All you really need to do is replace the switches, which are hot swappable.

I was a little worried I wouldn’t like it because I’ve never had brown switches before but, honestly? If you like a quiet almost creamy feel to a keyboard? This one would be it (with the brown switches)
If you want a more clicky feel, the blue ones are nice. My old keyboard had blues and I finally just got sick of them when playing MMO’s or something and constantly hearing the loud CLACK of my keys.
The ONLY negative is that it doesn’t have a little “stand” on the back to lift the keyboard up a little at an angle so it lays completely flat but, it’s not really that big of a deal. You get used to it really fast.
Love love love it. Would buy again. Probably will when my kids need new keyboards. lol

The only word that i can use for this keyboard is soft, the sound is soft, the lighting, and the texture. It also came with a key cap puller so bonus points for that, I wanted something quieter than my previous keyboard and i’m not disappointed. I do wish it was a hot swap.

Software linked does not work, doesn’t recognize the keyboard at all. I was instructed to use a different software from RK customer service, that kinda works for rgb, but the color wheel is way off (almost inverted), but the rgb is still vibrant. Hotswapped some lubed Akko switches into it, Stabilizers come prelubed but work well with mods( clipped, bandaid mod, and holee mod), and added foam to the case. Decent entry keyboard for the price with some small issues. Pictured next to a 60% keyboard for reference.
