   You are probably where I was a few weeks ago, looking for your first Mechanical keyboard and wondering if this one is worth it. Take it from me, JUST BUY IT. It has some weird things like it needs to be powered off when in wired mode or it automatically assumes that it is being charged and will display a red light. But this product is worth it for a budget first mechanical keeboard.

   The keyboard feels sturdy and just works. You will need to read the manual to figure it out, so it is a bit complicated. The clicks are as expected for a blue switch, but it does have a metallic springy sound as some other reviewers have mentioned. Personally, I don’t think the spring noise is a big deal. The RGB lighting is nice too, and this keyboard was a great price.

   This keyboard is simply amazing. It is the first mechanical keyboard I have purchased, but after testing a few out this is by far the best I have tried. I went with the blue switches and I’m super happy with my choice. They feel great and have a short yet responsive throw to them. With the blue switches you get a very loud crisp click. I wouldn’t recommend the blue switches if you are noise conscience or need to have a quiet keyboard. However if you enjoy the feel and sound of a great keyboard they can’t be beat. The RGB on this keyboard is awesome, and the built in patterns leave nothing to be desired. At this price point, I’m not sure why you would ever spend more money on a keyboard. As far as the software goes: this keyboard meets my every need. At my desk I am constantly switching back and forth between a mac and my gaming pc. This keyboard gives you the flexibility to fully utilize the shortcuts and normal actions of both operating systems. You can switch between Windows and Mac mode at the press of a button. Having the ability to pair between multiple Bluetooth devices was also a necessity for my setup. This keyboard can store up to 5 devices and pairs almost instantly when you use the hotkeys to switch between them. Conclusion: if you are looking for a great typing experience on a mechanical keyboard that is loaded with features, look no further.

   1st, I am a huge fan of Chery MX Blue switches. While this board does not come with Cherry switches, it has a similar feel when typing. Can’t say how it would be for gaming (as I don’t game), but it is great for office work. I use both a Windows desktop and a MacBook with a 38″ monitor with a built in USB 3 hub. I connected the board to the monitor, so, when I switch monitor inputs, it moves the hub (keyboard) to the respective connected computer. I like the simple FN-S (to switch to Mac Mode) and FN-A (to switch to Windows mode). Having a board that has both MAC and Windows firmware is a must for me, and, the ease of changing modes is nice. The board also has both Mac and Windows keycaps (dual marked, so no keycap changes required) which I like as I have traditionally been more of a Windows user, so the Mac special keys (CTL-Option-Command) are not yet drilled into my head). Took 1 star off as the space key shows a partial – left hand side – magenta backlight no matter which backlight mode is selected – ref. the attached image. It’s a minor defect, but a defect for sure. Not worth the hassle of going through a return/replace as everything important – to me – works great). Last thought – the board is a bit cramped. I knew the size when I bought it as it is sold as a “small compact..” keyboard. I was able to get used to typing on it and I’m back up to my usual typing speed, but there was a small adjustment period. This board would be perfect if they had a full sized version with the same features I highlighted above (dual mode through keystroke changes, backlight, dual marked keycaps, etc.). Didn’t ding the score for being cramped as I knew what I was buying.
