Steel Series does not create a quality product, worked for less than 2 minutes (thats not even a joke.) It wasnt go-keyboard.coms fault, it was simply Steel Series.

I bought this mouse for $30, so my review will be based on the price I got it for. Since this mouse is the SteelSeries Sensei with Black Ops 2 all over it, I considered this to be a good deal. I’ve owned this mouse for 5.5 months, and have tried it on several FPS games but mostly League of Legends. I’ve had some issues with getting the software to work with League on my Windows partition via bootcamp, and also found out that the software for macros doesn’t support OS X 10.9. As far as the mouse itself goes, it seems to be of decent build quality. I like the rubberized finish since it gives me good grip while gaming, and the braided cord is a plus (though it has these weird “bent” areas). The side click buttons do feel a bit flimsy. Another issue I’ve had is that my right click has nearly crapped out on me. It’s probably from me dropping the mouse a couple of times from like 4~ feet, but I recently noticed the right click doesn’t have as crisp a click like the left click does. There’s also 2 cracks on the right click, so I’m pretty sure it was from me. Besides this though, the mouse was worth the money and packs a lot of features that higher end mice do for a far lower price. The SteelSeries customer service was also helpful. If you can snag this mouse (or any other Sensei) for this price, it’s worth it.

I like a bit smaller mice and this fits the bill, including full side buttons. It has been working like a champ and improved my game over the razer abyssus. The price is fantastic here, every bit of info I see shows this as a skinned sensai raw, normally $30 more; even steelseries store has this for $30 more. Great find, imo, highly recommended. I have played on serious online and lan teams and won money for several FPS games. Do yourself a favor and grab a QcK+ mousepad as well.

WONDERFUL MOUSE! Let me tell you though, that I don’t game with it. I usually use wireless mice but they always give me problems the way I have my computer set up now. This mouse not only fits well in the hand, but rolls super smooth and the pointer NEVER lags… not even for the smallest amount of time. I’d imagine it’s great for gaming!

The mouse itself is pretty good. The buttons are very customizable, and the range of which you can change the cpi is excellent. This mouse didn’t work, however, right after I unplugged if from my laptop. I plugged it back in to several different devices (all with the steelseries driver software) and the cpi light would just blink. Steelseries did have a solution for this, and all you had to do was download a firmware update tool and use it with the mouse. The firmware update tool, however, did not work. It would stop at 11% done every time ( I tried this many times on 5 different computers). I emailed their support team about this and after about a week an actual person replied back with the exact thing that they posted on their website, which I had done already. The only thing the person added was that I could “reset” the mouse by clicking a combination of buttons. I did this many times and it did not work either. I ended up returning the mouse. The problem I had is apparently quite common. I sincerely hope that this does not happen to you if you do end up purchasing this item.

bought it during a sale at 29.99 just to be clear so it is cheap for me just to be clear here.
compared to my brother’s 80 dollar razer death adder it comes with a real on the fly DPI adjuster (had to figure it out that little arrow shaped button, wasnt in the manuals for some reason) and the 4 side buttons (2 on each side) is really handy but is a little too soft and delicate for me, constantly accidentally clicking it.
Easy to install and comes with a good software that allows programming of keys and adjusting of DPI for the 2 different modes (LED on or off) i dont play COD but the prints are rather small so it doesnt bother me one bit, but the COD inspired lighting is very nice, i like the orange LED. The braided wire is also a nice touch of quality to a already good product. Nice solid clicking sounds very nice when playing games. Although some may beg to differ but the large size and huge rear end makes it very comfortable for my hands and the coating is very nice to the touch.
