   This mouse has definite eye-appeal. You see it, and you think “how cool is that?” then you want to go play World of Warcraft with it! The lightning bolt design and the slow pulsing WoW logo is like a siren’s call! Then you get your hands on it and, well, that’s when things go a little sour. At least for me they did. It would be nice if you could ‘try before you buy,’ because depending on the size of your hand and how ergonomic this mouse feels for you, you will either love it or hate it. I personally wanted to love it because I have been a citizen of Azeroth since 2004. Unfortunately, I find the SteelSeries World of Warcraft Legendary MMO Gaming Mouse too *wide* for my hand to be comfortable, thus trying to find the mouse button I want means taking my eyes off the game to look for it. Maybe I just need to give it more time and persevere, since there’s definitely a learning curve. The SteelSeries World of Warcraft Legendary MMO Gaming Mouse features 11 programmable mouse buttons, including a very handy pinkie button. It is a 3200 DPI mouse (can also be set at 400, 800, and 1600 DPI). The USB cable is 6.5 feet long. Also included is a color quick start guide, a product catalogue, and a SteelSeries sticker. The box is made of very heavy cardboard. The front box cover has a magnetic catch and opens like a book to reveal the mouse in a blister shell. The box is a very attractive display piece, if you are into that. The mouse is PC and MAC compatible. As mentioned, the SteelSeries World of Warcraft Legendary MMO Gaming Mouse is seems a short and squat design to me, especially when compared to my current Logitech Optical Gaming Mouse G400 with High-Precision 3600 DPI Optical Engine (910-002277) (I have uploaded a comparison photo). The SteelSeries World of Warcraft Legendary MMO Gaming Mouse works fine as a general mouse right out of the box, but to get all the buttons to work and to use this mouse at its full potential, you will need to download the Software Profiler from the SteelSeries website. There is no CD included in the box; a download is required. Once installed, the Software Profiler allows you to: * Create up to 10 different profiles for up to 10 toons, each with custom macros and/or buttons * Enter your character name and realm for each profile you create. Note: The software pulls your character picture, level, and class from the WoW Armory so it’s right there with your profiler * Change the glow color, intensity, and pulsation of the palm rest logo. Note: This has no impact on how the mouse performs, it just looks pretty cool! * Assign an existing game command (such as “open all bags”) to any or all of the mouse’s 11 programmable buttons, or write your own custom macro for multiple functions * Change the mouse’s settings, including scroll speed, double click speed, X and Y sensitivity, and DPI * Check the box “Enable In-Game Settings”, then from within WoW, open Interface/Mouse and check the box “Detect World of Warcraft Gaming Mouse.” Doing so will import your profile into the game. Overall, the SteelSeries World of Warcraft Legendary MMO Gaming Mouse has everything a WoW player could ever need, and puts it (literally) at your fingertips. If you find it a comfortable fit in your hand, and if you are willing to devote time to learn the programming, then the SteelSeries World of Warcraft Legendary MMO Gaming Mouse might just become your next best friend in Azeroth.

   Awesome mouse. Bought one as a present and ended up buying one for myself. The 4 side buttons are perfectly placed so that you can reach all of them without thinking about it too much – something that’s hard for me to say about mice that have 6 (and over) side buttons.
   In addition, this mouse has a glassy coating which makes it easier to clean and prevents the dirt from eating away at the mouse, making it long lasting. Price is amazing too!

   Most gaming mice will have at least the two front and back buttons for your thumb. Most users will have move their hand position to reach both of these buttons. This mouse has those but also has two more for your thumb located vertically. This allows your hand to stay in position while your thumb can rock back and forth between these two vertical buttons. I’ve got mine set up to strafe left and right. There isn’t another mouse made that I can find that offers this simple but extremely effect button format. The other big plusses are the two buttons on both sides of the scroll wheel. Very distinguishable by feel and right where you can easily use your two button 1 and button 2 mouse fingers to operate.

   A mio parere personale, questo è il migliore mouse esistente per giocare a World of Warcraft, almeno per il ruolo che io ricopro, cioè da healer (guaritore). Viene riconosciuto dal gioco, mettendo la spunta nelle opzioni del gioco alla voce mouse, in modo da avere tutti i tasti abilitati per fare il bind delle spell. Io lo uso in abbinamento al raid frame di nome VuhDo che è particolarmente versatile. Questo mouse è particolarmente consigliato a quelli che come me hanno le mani piccole o alle giocatrici che in genere hanno le mani più piccole degli uomini., si può stare con il palmo disteso sopra il mouse e non avere le dita ad artiglio, il che affatica molto di meno la mano e riduce il rischio di crampi e patologie varie. E’ più piccolo del Razer Naga e differentemente hà i tasti non solo in un lato, ma sopra e un tasto nell’altro lato.

   Vous pouvez régler vos raccourcis sur les touches latérales, elle est filaire (comme ça vous n’êtes jamais à cours de piles)et très ergonomique comme d’habitude avec steelseries.

   You can set every button in WoW
   But the side buttons, they are kind of small, (maybe just for me, I don’t know.) and when you push them, it feels “soft”

   I bought this mouse about 3 years ago and it still works. It has some issues though. -The cord is starting to break where is comes out of the mouse (been like this for almost 2 years). -Sometimes clicking a button while holding down both left and right buttons would cause issues (like running in WoW. It would stop). Aside from these issues the mouse has been working fine. For the price this mouse is a great value. $30+ for a mouse that will last at least 3 years. I would buy again if I was looking for a good mouse in this price range.

   I love this mouse. I started playing WOW just before Cata. Originally had a cata mouse by Steelseries and then got this one about 4 years ago. Has worked great. Perfect size and has 9 programmable buttons, just enough. And unlike the Naga the buttons are on each side of the mouse and the top and not just on one side where your thumb has to do all the work. Your whole hand is involved and I like that. Obviously, Steelseries stopped making this mouse some time ago and when it finally quits I do not know what I will do. $161 is awfully expensive and the price will only go up as there are fewer of these guys left. Probably will go to Naga. But, gonna play this one till it dies. So far, 4 years, so good,
