I really am not into the mechanical keyboard craze. In fact, the very last thing I want is a noisy and expensive keyboard. With that in mind, your options are pretty limited at this point in time if you’re looking for something backlit and quality for gaming.
I hated the idea of paying $50 for a keyboard, but I can honestly say I feel like this product is worth the money. The back-lighting is clear and adjustable on the fly to whatever setting you prefer(including off, if you like), and it types very solid, smooth, and quiet…. while still having real keys… not thin style, chiclet style ones. Another great thing, in my opinion, is just how still this keyboard stays… it really does take a good amount of force to move(accidentally or intentionally) because of the rubber feet they use on the keyboard.
Again, as someone that was reluctant to spend $50 on a keyboard I can honestly say I very seriously doubt you’d be upset with this keyboard provided you’re not into mechanical style keyboards and like the idea of back lighting.

Overall a decent keyboard, keys felt OK and quality of materials was good, however the font used on the keys and the lighting made it difficult to read in a brightly lit room and even in the dark was not the easiest to see. I felt there were better options out there so I returned it.

Daughter spilled yet another drink on another of my gaming keyboards, did not want to invest another $100 but had specific desires such as red back light and a quality build, while being comfortable for extended use. The design is appealing, and simple, while still offering media keys, some macro ability, and a cool design. The Cerberus is comfortable to use, I have enjoyed the feel of the keys and the sensation of the key feedback. It is physical similar to a mechanical but more smooth. The back light is very solid and impressive. Many keyboards lack a filling light or don’;t have enough behind letters, the Cerberus has full filling and solid lighting. A couple of wishes for this would be software to control the macros and give you more options for macro ability, but autohotkey fixes that issue easy enough. The second would be slower and smoother mood lighting. It is pretty cool to have the pulsating light, but it appears to fast for my tastes. More options on the pulsation would be nice.
I included a badly done but simple video to show others how the pulsing lights work if you are interested.

Quiet gaming keyboard! I used to have a mechanical gaming keyboard but it was just too loud. After reading several reviews and watching youtube videos, I decided to buy this keyboard and it didn’t disappoint me. Some people complained about the lettering or the surface finish of the keys and some of their complaints are true. The finish is not always even in color but I don’t really care about that much since I usually use this keyboard in the dark. That’s where the back light come in handy. At the brightest light level, it’s very easy to see the key in the dark. At the lowest level it’s a bit dimmer but it’s not terrible. There 2 colors, red and blue-,for the light. I prefer blue since it’s much brighter. By the way, it’s not obvious but Fn+Caplock is how you change the color. However, the red function seems to also make ASWD keys into arrow keys. There seems to be many functions you could do but I have lost the manual so I haven’t figured out all the things you can do with the Fn + <key>. Fn + Insert seems to lock your keyboard out (only in red mode) but if you do Fn + ESC then the keys turn purple and everything is reset. Anyway, it’s a neat, well built keyboard with many features.
