   I paid $60.00 for this mouse and it’s delivered in a flimsy “padded” mailer with the bottom of the box crushed on one corner. I really am getting tired of the lack of protection my purchases are getting from items missing from sets to this.

   Razer packaging was ripped inside the go-keyboard.com packaging. The go-keyboard.com packaging itself was fine so it was definitely the seller’s fault. The mouse performance is actually pretty good I would recommend this mouse.

   The mouse feels nice, buttons are easy to press. You have to install synapse in order to customize things like lighting, dpi, mapping the buttons. When you turn off pc the mouse lights stays on and alternate between colors even if you set it to static. I read that only way to change that is to go into bios and set it to turn off ports power when pc is off. The only issue I have is that the rubber thump grip comes off. I’ve see some reviews posting about this and hoped it was just a defect but seems like the issue still exist today. Update: I contacted razer within the warranty period and they replaced it free of charge. Been using the new one for over 5 months and never had the issue on the new mouse. Seems like the adhesive was defective on the old one. Overall I love the mouse.

   If you play a lot of FPS games ex.(Apex,COD,Fortnite) totally awesome mouse for games like that!! DPI clutch is handy as heck.. Its comfortable on your hand and puts less stress on it. Very ergonomic which is great for long game sessions. I’ve seen the price go down quite a bit so you could wait for a cheap price or go ahead and snag this!! 9/10 for comfort,quality and easy use!! I totally recommend.

   So for starters, I am not much of a PC gamer. I bought this mouse for the way it looks and the RGB functionality. Also, I really like the button placement. It feels great in my hand. No unnecessary buttons on the side that I accidentally click. I like the cord it comes with (braided but not too thick). The Razer Synapse/Chroma software is not too difficult to use but still confusing (I paired it with my Phillips HUE bridge but had difficulty getting the settings just right. One of my Hue bulbs wouldn’t light up at times but I’m not sure if it was the software’s fault or mine for not knowing how to use it). I also like the idea of the DPI clutch even though I doubt I will ever use it much. The only problem that really annoys me is that you cannot save Lighting Profiles/Settings to the Mouse’s internal memory. So I set up the color I wanted and I thought “this is the perfect mouse!” but shortly after I power cycled my computer it started to do the Rainbow mode on the mouse even though I set it to a static color and even saved the profile to the mouse’s internal memory. So basically if the Razer software isn’t running the mouse is not going to be displaying the RGB pattern you chose. So when I boot up my computer it is stuck in rainbow mode till the software loads. This really annoys me. I thought it was implied that the hardware profiles would store this info so if I migrated my mouse to another system or didn’t have the Razer software running the RGBs would behave like I wanted them to. Pros -Beautiful design -Button placement -Nice RGB -Adjustable scroll wheel resistance -Comfortable Cons -Color profiles do not work unless Razer software is running.

   It is a great gaming mouse, but always look if its for, it is not on the heavier side and not ultra lightweight as its a little big in size but not that big yet very ergonomic and feel fantastic in hand, great build quality premium feeling, the dpi preset is a little strange to me as it was an upgrade and it took long enough to get used to it, for casual, simulation, multitask gaming and content creation its the best, but for compatative fps gaming, it would take more tym to get used. The right button a little mushy but still tactile. Side button aligned perfectly with no accidental clicks.

   So, Let me start by saying I own several Razer products (sphex 2 mat and man-o-war headset), and as a whole I’ve been extremely satisfied with their quality and performance. And I don’t necessarily regret buying the basilisk, but it did have one glaring issue that is honestly the only thing keeping this from a 5 star rating. Pros: This is the comfiest mouse I’ve ever used. I have slightly small hands, but this fits perfectly. It has a nice weight, and the adjustable resistance is a nice feature. I’ve spent a couple hours gaming, some RTS and some FPS gaming and it has worked excellently. I’ve also used it for some online homework and just general internet browsing, and It’s been a breeze for everything I’ve used it for so far. Con: I only have one bad thing to say about this mouse, but I found it super frustrating. the rubber on the side that your thumb rests in started peeling off within an hour of me using it. I’m not sending it back, I just intend to put some super glue on it. But for a 70 dollar mouse I find this unacceptable. and while my other razer products have been durable so far, I’m sort of concerned about how long this mouse will last.

    I’ve just received this mouse in the mail today and decided to go for a spin with it. So far, I’m fairly impressed. Although I do have few complaints, they shouldn’t stop you from buying this mouse since I’m a very picky person. Likes: – Very ergonomic. – Adjustable scroll wheel. – Side buttons are clicky (just how I like them). – Modular DPI clutch. – Sexy Chroma lighting. Dislikes: – Ring finger is a little uncomfortable (for me at least). – Clicking takes a little more force than I’m used to. – Size of the mouse (My hand is 7 inches {palm to tip of middle finger} and this mouse feels slightly too small). – Synapse 3 is not yet available on MacOS Now, every dislike is all based on my experience and may not be applied to some of you. However something that will be a deal breaker for you might be the fact that Synapse 3 is not yet available on MacOS and Razer has already implied that it will becoming to us Mac users. I can easily boot into windows and install it but I have yet to try it. Sooner or later this review might become updated. Edit: So I was able to install windows 10 onto my iMac and downloaded Synapse 3. I had linked my Hue lights to my mouse and it looks gorgeous! The software was actually better than I thought it would be. I haven’t found any issues “yet” and will continue testing. I will note however, the way you configure the lighting is actually pretty confusing since I was too lazy to read how to use Synapse.

    This is a great gaming mice and seriously I have used so many mice like Logitech G502, G903, Asus Rog gladius and this is the first Razer branded mice. I expected that this mice will also stop responding after a month but my expectation was wrong. This is one of the epic mice for gaming. Now everything with this mice is ok for me but one problem is that the mice gets hot very fast. So what I recommend is that to download the Razer software from the internet and in the chroma studio make settings for the RGB lights to breath and this really worked I made the RGB fusion to breathing settings and now the thermal problem is also gone. So if you are a gamer (especially a minecraft or GTA) then you should invest your money on this mice and it is really helpful to use it.you can even customize the rgb lighting feature in the official software as you wish. Red, blue and green color looks the best in this mice. As a final word I would say Razer is an epic brand for gaming peripherals.

    I wish it was a little wider, with my last two fingers hanging off my hand will start cramping after too long, but I realize most gaming mice are like this. The reason for 4 star is cause the grip under the thumb keeps popping up, as it it wasn’t taped down as good. This has happened since day one, gets annoying in the middle of a game when it pops ups

    I bought this mouse to possible replace my Razer Lancehead Tournament Edition – Professional Grade Chroma Ambidextrous Gaming Mouse, 16,000 DPI. I wanted to get a smaller mouse that would fit my hand better and I also liked the idea of having an extra thumb button. I have been very happy with this mouse and ended up keeping it and replacing my Lancehead with it. It does fit my hand much better and the extra thumb button it great. I didn’t think I would really care much about the adjustable resistance on the scroll wheel but I do actually like it a lot. I prefer to keep it turned down to the point where I can barely feel the bumps on the scroll wheel. If you have used a recent Razer mouse then you know what to expect. This mouse is built with the same quality as all of their recent products and in my opinion it is excellent. I was worried that the adjustable scroll wheel would make it feel cheap or rattle but fortunately, it doesn’t. If you are someone with smaller hands, I would definitely recommend you give this mouse a try.

    I replaced my Logitech G502 with this mouse after it died on me, and I have no regrets. This is an excellent mouse. It’s comfortable, sleek design, lights are nice and bright (but you can change the brightness if it’s too much), and the cord is braided which is a nice feature of wired Razer products. It feels just like the G502, maybe even better. The side DPI change button (for sniper aiming in FPS games) is such a nice feature. You can also change the resistance of the scroll button if you want it more rigid or smooth gliding. The thumb rest feels comfortable and not in an awkward spot. Although, I do have small hands so I can’t say the same for everyone. My only complaint is that when I received the item, the bottom of the box was torn and bent, which made me worry a bit. Though when I got the mouse out of the box, there were no visible signs of breakage or scratches or anything missing. The mouse is still working fine. Overall, I would definitely recommend this mouse to anyone who might’ve had the Logitech G502 and are looking for a replacement or just simply in the market for a nice and comfortable mouse for gaming or just simple computer work. For those who are worried about the Razer Synapse 3 which comes with this mouse, I haven’t had any problems with it crashing. I believe it is still in beta, so I will update this review if I run into any problems regarding the software.

    Basilisk has great ergonomics and clutch feature is really well done, but initial mouse (delivered 11/2018) and it’s immediate replacement both had issues with the left rubber thumb pad not being fully stuck to the mouse housing at the rear of the mouse. 2nd mouse arrived this way new out of the box and after firmly pressing the rubber pad onto the housing it stuck all day, but in the morning had popped out again….not confident it would hold up long term. Bad manufacturing run or design or materials flaw? Not sure…. but the thumb clutch is awesome for gaming if you need an extra button or want the DPI on the fly feature, but thank goodness it can easily be popped out if you’re using the mouse for office-work, because it kinda forces you to float your thumb. Razer did a great job with the magnetic latch though (it’s part metal!!) and includes a smaller size/reach in box as well. Really wanted to like this mouse, but the rubber pads sunk it for me…back to big G.

    I like the this mouse in almost every way. I like the feel of the mouse’s surface. Movement is very smooth and has very sophisticated movement speed adjustment if you don’t like the current movement speed. Just enough number of buttons on the mouse because I don’t like a gaming mouse that has too many buttons that makes me feel like I am holding a keyboard instead of mouse. I also love the cool razer logo and the lighting. BUT WHAT MAKES ME PISS OFF IS that, as it can be seen from the picture that I attached, the left rubber part of this mouse is peeling off itself in a very short time. I don’t know if I happened to received a defective one or this mouse just doesn’t have enough adhesive to hold the rubber but this is very annoying and not something that I expect from the gaming mouse, otherwise a perfect gaming mouse, at this price range. I had to return the mouse and re-order. I will keep watching this rubber part and see if this one peels off also.

    Mouse is fine but I wasn’t expecting I’d need an account to configure it. The term of use shows the software collects a lot of data (alongside needing your phone and address to register). This includes the games on your system, key strokes, IP address, and it shares information with Google’s Double-click Ad-exchange/analytics. There is also a disturbing section where you ‘expressly grant’ … ‘complete and irrevocable’ … use to Razer in respect of User Content and derivative works. If your privacy is important to you, I’d look at other options.

    C’mon Razer – I have had this less than a week and the rubber on the sides is already pealing away. I have also had periodic issues with the mouse losing its tracking for a few seconds at a time. I purchased this after using my Logitech G502 for two years because I was looking for something a little lighter than the 502 with a similar shape / ergonomics, but that was a mistake. I will be returning this and going back to Logitech, which is a shame, because I do like the feel of the mouse better, and the DPI clutch is nicer than the side button on the G502. I had a DeathAdder years ago, and had to send it back after a month because it started double-clicking, so I was worried about the quality – thought I would give Razer another try, but it looks like quality control hasn’t improved much.

    My old mouse broke, and I needed a new one. I was looking for a mouse that had a “clutch” or some sort of precision button to provide a bit more pinpoint accuracy and I decided to get this one. This is the only Razer product I have, most of my peripherals have been Corsair, but I love this mouse. The Razer Central and Synapse for calibrating the different lighting effects is extremely simple to navigate. You can change the colors and effects easily to cycle whatever you want. You can also set what the mouse buttons actually do and make it specific to which program you’re in, so you can set the mouse button 4 to a number key for one game, and to a letter for a different game, and never have to actually change the profile. I am a big fan of this mouse and would suggest it to almost anyone.

    El producto es ligeramente pesado y es un ratón más grande al que estaba acostumbrado, tuve que cambiar mi palming del ratón para poder utilizarlo de una buena manera, sin embargo, después de acostumbrarme al peso y al tamaño simplemente funcionó de maravilla. Este ratón lo utilizo en un DPI bajo (500 DPI) para shooters y tengo que decir que tiene una alta precisión. Respecto a lo del clutch del DPI, yo lo uso sin este, ya que se me hace un poco estorboso para manejar los botones laterales, sin embargo, creo que con la practica y el uso se puede acostumbrar a usarse regularmente.
