   1 year edit at bottom. I just revieced this keyboard about 2 hours ago which was about 3-5 days earlier than the shipping estimate was so that alone is awesome! But apart from that this keyboard is just freaking awesome to type on and it beautiful. (The last picture does not do justice to how red the LED lights are, it is much much more vibrant in person). I got the Cherry MX Red because I’ve never been a huge fan of the click clack noise while I type, and these have the wonderful feeling of a mechanical keyboard without the obnoxious click clack at all. Of course there is still noise, there always will be for a mechanical keyboard of any type, but this is very tolerable and completely worth it for how amazing it feels to type on. And on top of that, the quality of this keyboard is fantastic (Note the close up pictures). I had a Razor Blackwidow Ultimate which has now been gifted to my boyfriend, and I like the feel of the Corsair much more than I did the Razor. I am mostly on the computer to play video games, and these came with the extra WASD keys that are slightly curved to help keep your fingers on those keys while you play. Now I’ve never had an issue with my fingers slipping off the WASD keys in the past but this just feels really comfortable to press while playing my games. I will update this as I’ve had the keyboard for longer. Edit: It’s been a little over a year now and I thought I’d update my review. The keyboard that was in this review I spilled beer on after having it for about 7 months, and most of the keys completely stopped working so to the garbage it went. However, I liked this keyboard so much that I bought the exact same one to replace the one I ruined. I have nothing bad to say about this keyboard, I love typing on it and I love the general feel of it as I’m playing video games. I am glad I bought the same one again, and I hope I don’t destroy this one too. Overall even after a year I would highly recommend this keyboard.

   I bought this keyboard (CORSAIR K70 MX Red) 3 years ago, it’s still working very well 🙂 I care about it and I vacuum or blow the dust like every month or so + never spelled anything on it. Now I’m fan of corsair mechanical keyboards I forgot the problem that I used to have with cheap keyboards (feels bad and not comfortable, slow typing and playing response, keys get stuck over time, etc…) paying once for good premium high quality keyboard is better than paying multiple times on cheap keyboards

   Overall, this is the best mechanical keyboard I’ve ever owned. It’s sturdy build quality combined with it’s quality makes it a very good keyboard. Pros: Metal backplate makes for sturdy build, quality, bright LED lights (I got the red lighting, but it’s all pretty much the same as the RGB version, functionally). I got Cherry MX Red switches, but it’s available in Blue, Brown, Speed, and Silent switches. They’re all Cherry MX, so you know they’ll be very good. He detachable wrist rest is very smooth and surprisingly comfortable. The thick, braided cable is durable and splits off into two USB cords, but you only need to plug the one with the keyboard logo in if you only want the keyboard. The other one is for the extra USB passthrough on the back off the keyboard. The toggleable brightness key is very convenient, and the Windows lock key is quite hand to prevent hitting the key and getting yourself killed in a game. The multimedia keys are a nice addition and the textured metal volume scroll wheel is awesome. The CUE (Corsair Utility Engine) takes a little while to figure out all the settings, but with 5 minutes of messing around with it you’ll figure it out. Also, the keycap puller and extra textured WASD and QWERDF keys are nice. Cons: Very few of these, but they are quite minor. The keys are a little rattly when you hit them, the space bar in particular, but I really don’t mind them personally. Also, the 4 feet of the keyboard don’t have rubber under them, so the keyboard can be a bit prone to sliding around. Overall, the Corsair K70 Lux is a great keyboard and another win by Corsair.

   This keyboard does not just look awesome but it’s very comfortable. I got this to match my red and black setup and it fits in very well because I have the corsair M65 as well. Typing is comfortable due to the wrist rest and gaming is even more fun because it’s a mechanical keyboard.

   The listed product is American model however I received the UK one. I could have paid less if I wanted UK by ordering from a different shop. Maybe it’s not a big deal as I don’t look at keys but ordering a product and receiving a different one is.

   My review is only for the buying process and not the actual keyboard. It’s my first mechanical keyboard and felt a bit odd for the first half an hour but I’m starting to get used to it and enjoy the feeling. Nothing bad so far.

    K70 is definitely among the best mechanical keyboards. Although I got it lot cheaper than market price its still expensive for a keyboard. But I am totally happy with it.

    Hey reader. I was a skeptical review-reader like you may be, too. I was looking to replace my Razer keyboard, which was getting worn down since I type so fast on it for about a year and a half. Like you, I was eager to try it out because of all the positive reviews and remarks. I went ahead and bought it. I have no regrets. It came in the Corsair K70 LUX box as normal, nothing surprising there. I opened it and it came with the arm rest, and the keyboard with the needed cords on it, (obviously). I plugged it in and it worked almost immediately, I could type on it and everything the moment I inserted the USB. No waits or installations! Now here’s the ONLY complaint: When I opened the box with the arm rest, I attached it to the keyboard, which is extremely easy to attach. It was a bit loose, and I knew something wasn’t right. I looked on the bottom of the arm rest, and THREE out of FOUR prongs to hold it in were RIPPED OFF. It must of been an accident because the prongs were supplied in a separate bag so we could glue them on, but I never used the arm rest anyways, so that’s why it’s still 5 stars. I would recommend that the “package people” not throw my keyboard around… You can’t beat this. Seriously, this is literally the best keyboard for gaming you can get. Razer, Logitech, all other gaming brands, this blows them out of the water completely. The space-bar has a small grip on it, which for me personally helps a ton for fast typers, like me. I saw some people who didn’t get the keyboard that looked like the one in the picture, and I can clear you guys up on why. There are different options for this item. If you want the one in the picture, you must select the “k70 LUX”. People who got a different one than the picture shows accidentally selected the “Vengeance” one. Unless you don’t want the one displayed in the picture, don’t get the one that says “Vengeance”. It comes with MMO (qwer) and FPS (wasd) key cap sets. I’m more of a conventional FPS gamer (basically all games that use WASD.) The key cap sets also have grips on them and they’re really comfy on the fingers. This keyboard comes with a super, surprisingly easy key cap remover, which all you have to do is take the non circle end, and just place it vertically on the keys like you’re tweezing them out, then pull. The letter design on the keys is a design that I love much better than the RAZER font design. The font on the keycaps are more wide and easier to read. Now here’s my absolute favorite part about this keyboard: The ease of access + media controls on the top of the keyboard. On a conventional RAZER keyboard, you must hold “FN” and press the F10 button, which if you’re in a game, can cause it to mess up and crash and it’s just not efficient. With this keyboard, all you have to do is press the circle button on the top and Gamer Mode is activated. If you don’t know, this keyboard comes with gamer control. It basically disables the Windows key, so that you don’t accidentally press it during gameplay, so it doesn’t mess you up. Now the media controls. The cylinder thing on the top right of the keyboard that LOOKS like a speaker, is actually a volume slider. Super useful to turn down the global volume in case of something. Right beside it is a MUTE button, which just mutes everything, which is another amazing feature I can’t live without now. Below that are the SKIP, MOVE FORWARD, PAUSE, and SKIP BACK buttons. Now i don’t know about you, but I watch YouTube, a LOT, and these keys don’t really work with video websites such as YouTube etc. Which was kinda a downer, but it didn’t affect much at all. I replaced my Razer Blackwidow Chroma for the Corsair k70 LUX, I’ve been using it for about a day and all I can say is that this keyboard is PHENOMENAL. The brushed aluminium just gives the keyboard such a quality feel to it, and the inter-changeable key caps are amazingly easy to remove and replace! This keyboard is very compact and really convenient, and you can actually see in the front row (the row of keys nearest to you while you’re sitting) are slightly elevated. Then I opened GTA 5 and played it with this keyboard for a few minutes to test it out… I truly have no words. If you have a Razer keyboard, and I mean even the BEST keyboard in the Razer or Logitech or whatever gaming keyboard series, and you’re looking for another keyboard that is built to last YEARS, LOOK. NO. FURTHER.
