   BEWARE – All keys with two symbols on them are INVERTED. The “2” is *above* the “@”, etc. This goes for all the punctuation keys as well [ over {, etc. I can only assume they do this in order to get the brightest portion of the backlight under the primary value, but it still flies in the face of 100 years of keyboard standards and they DON’T CALL THIS OUT anywhere in the product description. You can see it if you zoom in on the product images, but I didn’t think to look for that before ordering. I loved the original Corsair K70 with the standard keys, but nonsense like this is a dealbreaker for me. I have family members who are not touch typists and this would be deeply confusing to them. go-keyboard.com was super good about the return, though, so very pleased about that.

   I ordered this product before reading all the relevant reviews. I was very worried after I read the reviews, that my product will arrive broken and\or damaged. I was pleased to see the package, it was the keyboard’s box inside and go-keyboard.com box. sure, there’s a lot of room for the inside box to move inside, but in my case, it hasn’t been harmed at all. First unboxing the keyboard, the box says K70 LUX, which I have no idea if there’s a difference between that and the non-LUX one, and the cherry MX logo on the box made me think that I’m getting red switched, but after a few clicks (and taking out the WASD keys) I can confirm, they’re browns. The wrist rest is a welcome upgrade for me, sure it’s only rubber and plastic, but that’s so much more than what I had before – nothing lol. To me, the keys have very good travel, their sound is nice in my opinion and they’re very balanced all around, including the space key and both shifts. Media keys are a very nice addition for me and I know I’ll use them a lot. The replacement WASD keys are noticeably more textured than the rest, and also indented towards the S key, which is a nice little touch in my opinion. This keyboard in my country (Israel) costs roughly 650nis (~180$US) which is a crazy deal for me, even including shipping and customs costs, so for me, it’s an awesome piece of tech all around, I love it. One last thing, I am a bit disappointed in myself for not getting the full RGB model, I would’ve loved to sync it with my mouse or to have it in plain white, but that bump (including customs) was less of a good deal for me.

   I’ve always gone with cheap, $20-30 keyboards. I was experiencing wrist pain and I wanted something with a wrist rest, lighted keys for seeing in the dark and more responsive keys for typing and gaming.

   This board fits the bill and to my delight is incredibly satisfying to use for typing, due not only to the distinct, yet moderately pitched key clicks, but also the balanced responsiveness. (Do not get cherry red if you want a quiet keyboard). The response time is a significant reduction compared to my non-mechanical keyboard, but the pressure required to compress the keys isn’t so low that I’m activating keys by mistake. (Unless one of my hands gets really lazy).

   The keyboard is very comfortable to use and serves all my writing and gaming needs with wonderful efficiency. I will say that I wouldn’t have paid for price for it, (these things really are ludicrously expensive for being keyboards), but I purchased it during a decent prime sale. So assuming it continues to function in the years to come, I’ll be quite content with my purchase.

   I’ve owned this product since 3/14/2016, at which time I purchased from another site, so I’m still within the 2 year warranty. I really like the keyboard but I’ve had my “B” key break on me last week (No idea how it happened). I contacted Corsair and they are sending a replacement. However, it’s going to take 2-3 weeks to arrive. I was able to superglue the key back together and it’s holding up rather well so I should be fine to wait. Just know the keys may have a weak area around the + switch holes which the switches insert into. This is great keyboard and would recommend to others. Works great in games with very good feedback. I’ve been running it with dampeners and the sound isn’t bad at all for me.

   It’s a great keyboard.. BUT – After two years of great performance, some keys’ plastic connectors got broke, which makes the keys jump out of the keyboard since their connector is loose, and then you have to place them back in.

   The build quality of this keyboard is unbelievable. It comes with wrist rest and additional key caps for an ultimate gaming experience. It is not much louder than a membrane keyboard but it so responsive and typing on it is so easy, I get 100 words per minute ez . I highly recommend this keyboard.

    This keyboard is great. It is hard at the beginning to get used to it, but you will do it, just give it a couple of days. The keyboard is smaller than a non-mechanical keyboard, your brain needs to remember the new positions of the keys. Multimedia buttons are very appreciated.

    After only 4 days, the ‘Scroll Lock’ key LED has stopped working. I do not have a spare keyboard to use while waiting for an RMA, so here’s hoping the other parts do not fail as quickly. If this had not happened, I would have happily given 5 stars.

    Pros: 1.) the LEDs will get blindingly bright. I have no idea why anyone would want that, but it’s nice that the option is there. 2) Going to a mechanical keyboard from a membrane is even better than you probably are imagining. 3.) The top plate design is beautiful brushed aluminum and looks great despite the plastic bottom. 4.) A volume roller is such a better design than volume buttons. 5.) The computer software is not as difficult to figure out as all the reviews say. It has some serious short comings in allowing you to truly configure the keyboard, but it is easy to use the functionality that was built into it. 6.) The key font is great and the main characters light up uniformly on all but the lowest brightness settings (the shift character indicators do light up poorly though). 7.) It feels very quality when typing (not so much when scrolling the volume). Cons: There are too many for a keyboard of this price. 1.) The keys on are upside down, and they aren’t symmetrical so they look bad when flipped. Since the switches have the LED at the top, they put the main characters at the top and the shift characters at the bottom. This is ass backwards from every other keyboard. Look at your keyboard. See how the = sign is on bottom and the + is on top. That will be reversed to piss you off. 2.) The bottom row of keys is not contoured. They have a sharp bottom edge. Even membrane keyboards figured out long ago that you round off the bottom row so as not to make a sharp angle where the thumbs engage the space bar. This keyboard does not, so the space bar feels terribly un-ergonomic. You will see that to fix this many are flipping the spacebar upside down (PICTURE), but then your new spacebar on your $100 keyboard doesn’t light up. This design is garbage, but you may say this is so the keyboard can use standard replacement keys, which brings me to my next point. 4.) The keys are a non-standard size, so you will not easily replace them. This is a very minor negative since I would never replace the keys if they had just designed the spacebar better, but it sucks since that spacebar is so bad. 5.) The chassis is not aluminum. The top plate is, and that’s great, but for $100, the backplate would have been great in aluminum too. 6.) The volume scroller feels like garbage. It is still decent because the material is nice knurled aluminum, and a roller for volume is genius, but there is no resistance when turning it so it ends up feeling like a very cheap button next to all of your expensive, custom mechanical keys. 7.) My least favorite part of the design is the palm rest. It is attached by very cheap and breakable plastic connectors. Furthermore, if you pick up the keyboard it flops down. If you leave it on a desk then you probably won’t care, but if you are using it in an environment where it is passed around, like in a home theater, then it sucks. I fixed this by filling the back with a black latex caulk (PICTURE) that will easily peel out if I need to warranty it. This makes the palm rest rigid while still allowing a very little bit of rubber bushing like flex. It feels way better than the garbage design it came with. 8.) You can not truly set up your brightness settings well. The light button on the keyboard has only simple function no matter what you do. It multiplies your light setting. The brightness in the computer program can be set 0-255 in value, but the hardware keys 3 positions is not configurable at all. Let me explain. Lets say you pick a value of 10 as your low setting for a nighttime environment. Well the hardware button will only make 10, 20, and 30 brightness which is still not very bright, so you will not have a good bright setting. The fully configurable talk is a total lie. You can not have a very dim setting and a very bright setting on this keyboard. You can only compromise between the two unless you go into the computer software every time to change it. You can also not have a solid key color and then a custom pattern by pressing the keyboard switch. You can only dim whatever patern you are using unless you back into the software. This is a major downfall. 9.) The caps lock, scroll lock, and num lock keys are bright white no matter which color LEDs you choose, and they do not dim, so they are an annoyance at night time when you are using a dim setting. 10.) The mute button does not light up to show the mute is on. This would have been a cheap and very convenient feature. Summary: Overall it is a very good feeling keyboard with a good selection of switches and LED color preference, but the lighting configuration kind of sucks considering that this is a main selling point. The plastic attachment of the palm rest is a garbage feature of an 1/8″ thick aluminum topped keyboard. It is inexcusable to use non-dimming white LEDs on a keyboard where the customer specified and paid for red or blue LEDs. Many people are taking their new keyboards apart to replace them, and then they lose their warranties.

    I’m a big fan of Corsair products so after a bit of arguing with myself about the price, I finally decided to buy this keyboard. I don’t regret it. The brown switches suite my needs perfectly the minor clickyness of the keyboard is very satisfying while programming, and very smooth while gaming. There are many options for lighting, I opted for a low level light that ripples outward from any keystroke. The keyboard feels very well built. Ill be using Corsair keyboards from now on.
