   I bought the Strafe MX blue for around $115, which is a fair price. This is a replacement for my CM rapid TK compact.

   Pros:
   1. Fair price
   2. Full size keyboard with number pad
   3. High key profile, easy to clean.
   4. USB port for mouse

   Cons:
   1. Stiff left shift key
   2. Cannot switch backlight color
   3. Replacement key caps are not comfortable to use

   Overall, a great product at this price.

   This is my first ever keyboard, and after using it for a while now, I can say that it’s a great choice in terms of quality and pricing. Pros: – Great Quality, even though its made out of plastic, it is very sturdy. – Travel Distance is great! I feel comfortable typing on it after using chiclet keyboards (Laptops) for almost over 10 years. – I love Red, not those RGB lighting keyboards, so this was a great choice for me personally. – Comes with 2 small sets of key-caps (WASD and QWERDF) and also a key-cap puller. – USB pass-through for a mouse/headset which will help with minimizing the cable mess on your desk. – The overall typing feel is AMAZING!! I went for the Blues because of its clicks and clacks!! Certainly not for a work environment or if you live with a roommate who hates noise and you’re a night owl. – No more pain in my fingers due to the chiclet keys on my laptop. This keyboard has eased my hands and helped me become much more productive. Neutral: – This was a bit unexpected but these Blue Cherry MX were slightly less smooth than i thought would be. My friend bought a new Gamesir Keyboard with Outemu Blue Keys which felt smooth as silk upon press. However the MX grew on me fairly quickly. (I added this in neutral as it didn’t harm my experience using the Strafe). – The Brightness and Win Lock Keys need to pressed slightly harder than one should, but i rarely use them. – Main cable is thick! Like holy crap this wasn’t expected, but okay, its hidden in my desk anyways so who cares? – Main cable splits into 2 USB ports (one for the keyboard, the other is for the USB Passthrough). Laptop users beware, I made sure i had enough USB ports before i decided to purchase it. Cons: – This irritated me the most. Both Shifts & Controls keys, along with the backspace’s stabilizers need some sort of lubrication because the keystroke isn’t as smooth as i hoped for. So beware, make sure to purchase the correct type of lube otherwise you might damage your keyboard and void your warranty. Some posted on forums that the keys will “break after a certain amount of use”, so i will see in the future whether they are right or not. -Can’t remove the SPACE BAR key. Beware!! Many people attempted to clean their keyboards but ended up breaking the stabilizers on their space bar. So if you love customizing your set, bear in mind this note. Solutions: – Using O-rings can help reduce the clackiness of your keyboard by about 20-25% (I used 4mm o-rings on 70% of the keyboard). – If you are unsure what to buy, simply purchase a small key tester consisting of several different keys (Blue, Red, Brown, Black, Silver, Silent, White, Green etc …) as they can really speed up your choice. (I recommend MX keys as they have a longer lifespan than others). Overall: 4.3 out of 5 Stars If you agree with most of what i have written, then this keyboard will serve you just fine. If not, then i hope you will find your dream keyboard! N.B.: The LED color isn’t magenta/purple, its bright red (I took the pictures at night).

   I have been using this key board for a couple months. I got cherry mix blue switches with this key board and I have not had any issues with the switches . The build duality of the keyboard seem really good. The cables are pretty thick and overall pretty heavy duty. I have had an issue where my computer wont detect the computer on start up if its plugged into a USB 3.0 plug but that can be just an issue with my computer.
   The software for the key board takes some time to learn to use but is pretty detailed and allows you to do a lot with the LEDs on the key board

   I upgraded from the Corsair K70 Cherry MX Blue with red leds. I had been waiting for an RGB keyboard that had software to go along with it and Cherry MX switches. The Razer Chroma has Kalih switches that I didn’t care for, matte coating that would pick up fingerprints, and in my opinion; an ugly design. The Strafe is the first Cherry MX Blue RGB Mechanical Keyboard that has software to go along with it, and has a minimalistic, slick look, and raised keys similar to the K70. Pros: – This keyboard has the same functionality as the K70 but with an updated font on the keycaps, no media scroll wheel/dedicated media playback buttons, BUT it has function buttons to control media playback. – RGB, 16.8M Color Mode – You can do a lot with the Corsair Cue software. Light individual keys, different animations, use presets provided by the Corsair community forum. A user even made software that will light up your keyboard to your music. – Plastic doesn’t feel flimsy, heaver than the K70 when I held both. – Side lighting. – Corsair Sails logo lights up, and programmable. – Cherry MX Blue. – Raised keys similar to the K70. Cons: – One downside for me is when you lock your computer the keyboard will not stay lit. I also often get a keyboard not connected when logging back in which is annoying to have to dismiss the box in Windows. I hope that this problem is fixed and that is the reason why I gave this four stars instead of five. – CUE software isn’t the most user friendly, but I figured it out quickly. Others may have a little trouble. – Plastic build rather than metal like the K70.

   Love the Cherry MX blue switches. The LED’s are VERY bright with the white backplate underneath! Keyboard is made of plastic but has no flex and is heavy so no worries on build quality. Only worry is the wrist rest is attached by 2 pairs of thing clips that are fragile so be careful when removing it. Other than that the KB is superb and great for everyday use!

I used to have a Razer Blackwidow, and that thing always had repeating key issues. I couldn’t fix it no matter what. This keyboard has been perfect since I got it.

   I haven’t had this keyboard long, but it is great. I love the Cherry Blues and the USB pass-through is very handy. The build quality is very good, and only a few things feel missing, but that’s to be expected in a keyboard at such a reasonable price point.

   I have used the Corsair K70 RGB, K65 RGB (both keyboards had Cherry Red switches), and the Razer Blackwidow Chroma with green (clicky) switches. The Corsair Strafe with the Cherry Blue switches is the best keyboard of the group. I use this keyboard for general typing, MOBA and FPS games. Let me get this out of the way, I like clicky keyboards because they are noisy and satisfying to type on. The people in my household do not get bothered by the loud clicking noise of the keyboard which is great, but if there is someone in your household that would be bothered by loud keyboard typing then you may want to consider getting the Corsair Strafe in Cherry Browns or the the “Silent” version of this keyboard. The “Silent” version is only available at Best Buy and uses Cherry Reds which i could not get used to. I did not like the aesthetics of the Logitech g910 nor the sculpted keycaps when I played with it at Best Buy, but another direct competitor to the Strafe would be the new Logitech g810 which I am unable to include in this review due to lack of availability. I will break down the keyboards so you can see why I like this keyboard. Additionally I pulled every key cap off this keyboard and the cut outs were inconsistent. Razer also uses a spring type mechanism for the space, enter, shift, and caps lock keys which makes it difficult to remove the key caps) – If you remove the key caps Razer can void your warranty – Not Cherry MX Switches – Key caps are sunken into a cutout in the keyboard making it difficult to properly clean – Plastic finish on the keyboard is prone to smudges – 10 key rollover – The USB, audio-in, and audio-out pass through is on the right side of the keyboard , so anything connected to the pass through gets in the way of the mouse if you are right handed – No textured MOBA or FPS key caps included – Key cap puller not included -No dedicated media controls – Not as many custom lighting profiles submitted by the Razer community as Corsair’s community The Strafe RGB in MX Blues is the best keyboard for people looking for a satisfying clicky keyboard. Corsair listened to their customers’ complaints and brought out a great alternative to the K70 RGB.

    Hesitant to purchase due to the negative reviews of Corsair’s CUE (Corsair Utility Engine) that were mostly around how complicated the software was, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase the STRAFE RGB. Upon the arrival of the keyboard, I grabbed the box, went up to my room, and pulled the keyboard out of it’s packaging. Past go-keyboard.com’s packaging was Corsair’s very professional packaging of the keyboard. The box showed off the keyboard’s switches etc., and I believed the RGB on the box was boasted– too good to be true. I continued to open the box, pleasantly surprised to find a keycap puller, and a set of textured FPS/MOBA keycaps above the keyboard, as well as it’s palmrest, and the real deal itself. There were no twist-ties or anything more than cutting some tape on the box’s outside & pulling stuff out of it’s plastic sleeving to getting the keyboard out of it’s box. Moving onto the actual keyboard, this was one of the few keyboards that fit what I was looking for, which was an RGB keyboard with cherry MX Blue switches. After plugging the keyboard into my computer, I was pleasantly surprised by the truthfulness of the box! The RGB looks spectacular in not only night time, but daylight too! Props to Corsair! After installing Corsair’s CUE, I was excited to toy with the RGB. The many reviews I’d read made me utterly dread the coming moments. All I’d heard was that CUE was the most complicated piece of keyboard software yet. Linustechtips was saying it, the majority of the reviews were saying it, the general consensus was the software was terrible. Instead of being greeted by horrible software, I was greeted by a firmware updater that didn’t require me to unplug or anything. I hit a button, and it did it’s thing. After that, I was greeted by a piece of software no more complicated than Logitech or Razer’s software at it’s base level. Binds, Lights, and the ability to disable certain shortcuts. I went to read the manual– which is 140 pages of stuff you can learn easier on your own. All in all, It took me about 30 minutes to learn the advanced side of the software (about 1 minute for the basic side), at which point I had a working breakout animation I’d done as a copy of the one already made. After that, I was off to the races! I spent my day toying with RGB effects and browsing Corsair’s RGB Share website. Getting into the nitty gritty, I like using this keyboard so much more than the Logitech G710+ due to several factors: – The wrist rest. This one feels spectacular to move my hand around on, whereas the G710+’s rest felt like rough plastic – The software. This is so much more usable than the Logitech Gaming Software in terms of macros. Huge props to them. Instead of being bound to “G Keys”, I am able to program every single key on this keyboard. Infact, I can make this switch between QWERTY and DVORAK with the press of a button. – The textured “gaming” keys. These feel good to use even while typing, as sometimes, I’ll be typing words and my finger will bounce perfectly from d to s in WASD. The only thing that truly feels out of place or missing on this keyboard is the dedicated media keys. Thanks, Corsair for making such a spectacular keyboard for not only gaming, but typing too. (Please make more RGB boards with Cherry MX Blue switches!)

    Excellent quality, heavy weight which is nice, doesn’t slide around. I got the Mx blues which are delightfully clicky with the tactile and audible feedback, but I could see how roommates etc would be annoyed by them. Usb pass through is nice for my Corsair mouse.

    The keyboard arrived in perfect condition and feels awesome, though i don’t like the cable management; i got the blue switches .i didn’t use the CUE software much yet. you can customize each switch lighting and even set custom timing as a gradient effect for each switch. thought it seems to be quite harder and time consuming than you think. i use the ripple key typing effect so far; i might edit my review to be more in depth after i use the keyboard for a month or so .
