- 82 Keys Full Aluminum Frame: The Q1 Knob Version is a fully customizable mechanical keyboard with 75% layout that push your typing experience to the top. With a solid full aluminum frame, the Q1 is designed for premium typing comfort and endless possibility.
- All-Around Customizable Keyboard: To build a fully customizable keyboard, we designed every component easily assembled. With full QMK and VIA support, you can easily program and remap each key on the keyboard. The open-source firmware means endless possibilities for keyboard layouts, shortcuts, backlight effects, even the knob, and more.
- Hot-swappable Support: With the Gateron G Pro mechanical linear red switch providing unrivaled tactile responsiveness with up to 50 million keystroke lifespan. You can also hot-swap the Q1 with almost all of the 3pin and 5pin MX mechanical switches on the market (including Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, Panda, etc.) without soldering required. The PCB-mounted screw-in stabilizer for “big keys” such as space bar, shift, enter, and delete are designed for less wobbliness.
- Innovative Double Gasket: This Double-Gasket Structure allows the keyboard to maintain the flexibility of the gasket structure and improves the overall typing sound. We added silicone pads between the top and bottom cases to significantly reduce the sound resonance between the metals and reduce the noise of the impacted metals.
- Double-shot PBT Keycaps & South-facing Backlight: The Q1 comes with our unique OSA profile and double-shot PBT keycaps that aim to provide a more comfortable and subtle fingertip feel with excellent oil resistance for long-term use. The south-facing RGB is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle and free from interference when the user installs Cherry- profile alternative keycaps on the Q1.

I tried the Keychron V1, which is a great bargain, but couldn’t help picking up the Q1 during the Prime Day sale. The Q1 looks about the same but weighs much more due to the aluminum chasis. The Gateron Pro switches (I went fot the brown ones) are also smoother than the switches included on the V1. I also like the fact that you don’t need to run software to contorl the keyboard, but you can customize everything including the RGB with VIA which you can run from a browser. I would say this keyboard is better than other similar boards (eg. GMMK Pro) at an affordable price. Very happy with the keyboard.

Update after few months: this is a late bloomer keyboard for me. With what I received, I cannot complain. Keyboard is worth the price.
Pros: keyboard has very good form factor. Nice feeling on key touch. Will publish remaining after use.
Missing Tools like switch puller, keycap puller screwdriver and hex keys mentioned in the user manual. Hence I am giving 3 stars. Please refer to the videos to see details of unpackaging.

Lifelong PC gamer and career Marketing Guy, so I spend a TON of time typing. I’ve always believed you spend money where you spend your time, so I never skimped on keyboards. I can tell you without hesitation this is the finest I’ve ever used. The typing experience is unparalleled. The lighting effects are not my thing and I typically turn them off, but I have to admit I was really impressed with all the options. Right out of the box this thing performs unbelievable. You won’t be sorry.

I have been using the Keychron Q1 for about three weeks. I like the feeling of the keys. I didn’t expect the 75% thing to be an issue, but it has needed some getting used to. All in all, I like it. It was used, and I didn’t realize that at the time of purchase, so I planned to send it back. But after a few days, I decided to keep it.

The keyboard is much heavier than I thought it would be. This is a good thing. It doesn’t move around on my desk. The keys only require a light touch. I wasn’t sure I needed to spend this much for a keyboard. But, for me, it was well worth it.
