   Love this keyboard. The software for the lighting options is easy to download and use. A lot of options. You can customize keys. Has a USB pass thru. Also love the wrist pad.

   The only CON is that the function options (the secondary options for some key when you hold down “shift”) do not light up on the keys. After all these years, I know most of them, but it would still be nice for them to light also.

   I purchased the G513 with the blue switches, I know that it usually comes with some mechamembraine switches . The clickyness is very nice on this keyboard and the wrist rest is a very welcome add on. Very responsive and can’t forget to mention how wonderful the RGB is. Very bright and vibrant. Very sturdy and no creaks or wobbles.

   Now let me start off by saying that keyboards these days are a very personal preference kind of thing. I personally prefer Cherry MXBrowns, the goldilocks of mechanical switches, they have that tactile feedback and aren’t crazy loud. This keyboards switches are much more clicky and loud then that. I have included a video comparing the sound of these switches to that of a Corsair K70 with Cherry Red switches. Now with that said; I absolutely love this keyboard for typing. Typing up this review right now with it and it is just a pleasure to type with. Very positive feedback and almost no unintended typing mistakes from hitting keys out of order or anything like that because of the great feedback this keyboard provides. That said it is good for gaming but not great. It’s A) Very loud and could be annoying to others that live in your house if the room you’re using it in is not quiet enough or far enough away from the living space. B) The space bar kind of sucks for gaming. You don’t notice it when typing but when I game I find the space bar extremely distracting. If you don’t hit it exactly in the middle of the bar (Which is unlikely when gaming with your left hand) it has a very uneven travel feel which I find is neither comfortable or confidence inspiring. But besides that the keyboard is great for gaming as long as the loudness doesn’t bother you. I like how little desk space this keyboard takes up but I would’ve sacrificed having a slightly larger keyboard so I could have dedicated media playback controls. I do digital art for a living and I use the F keys a lot as part of the programs I use, but this keyboard is set up out of the box like a laptop keyboard where the F keys all have dedicated functions. For most this wont be an issue, but if you use the F keys as normal you will have to turn this off in the Logitech gaming software suite, which is quite easy. However once you do this, because there is no dedicated buttons for playback and volume you now have to hold down the Fn key on the keyboard when striking the Fkeys when you intend to use those functions. This is a minor quibble but I do find it especially frustrating with the volume controls since they’re located on PRTSC, SCRLK, and PAUSE. The palm/wrist rest that comes with this keyboard deserves special mention, it is one of the most comfortable wrist rests I’ve ever used, which is even more impressive when you consider this one comes with the keyboard. It is made of a pleather-like material and memory foam and it hasn’t become gross looking even after multiple months of use. I plan on keeping this wrist rest as long as possible, even if I end up changing keyboards. All in I adore this keyboard it just loses a star from me for the wonky space bar and the lack of dedicated media controls. But if that doesn’t bother you then you can’t go wrong with this one!

PROS: Smooth switches; not too loud for blues Good weight to keyboard + Good quality rubber feet Brushed metal back-plate RGB lighting isn’t over the top Simple and minimalist design CONS: Actuation force feels a slightly heavier than my MX Blues, despite having same force on paper Does NOT come with dedicated macro keys Does NOT come with dedicated media keys (instead, media keys are implemented in top row keys) USB pass through port isn’t aligned properly, although it seems to be for my keyboard Final Thoughts: This keyboard is what I really look for in a gaming keyboard. Nothing too flashy or bulky, but rather something simple, clean, and functional. Logitech’s GX Blue switches feel great for gaming and typing in general.

   Logitech has never made a mouse or keyboard I dislike using, but this one uses what I can only assume are bargain bin coatings for its keys. You can see in my picture how my D and N keys look after six months of use; I replaced the S key not long ago or it would look even worse, and you can also see how I had to replace my Z key with an E since the included spare keys primarily cover standard gaming keys.

   I purchased this keyboard with the blue switches in October, and I have had 0 issues with it since arrival. The switches feel great, the board itself has had 0 issues. The wrist wrest is nice, although it slides around on my desk for some reason. The board itself feels well put together, and very solid. My only gripe is the actual software used to control the lighting, as it can be a bit unintuitive at times for someone new to it, but as I have used it in the past for other Logitech products I have no issues.

    I have tried numerous keyboards with various Cherry MX and other switches. This switch reminds me of the IBM Model M with its clack and feel although the push of the keys does feel slightly different but I still like it. I wish there was a way to turn off the back light on the keys but it does allow you to easily cycle through backlight settings utilizing the keyboard and there is no software that you install on your computer to manage it, like the Razer Black Widow which I found irritating. I use this keyboard for work to type and not game and I can move through the keys quickly.

    I like it, not too flashy. It’s nice to adjust the colors and brightness of the keys. Took a little while to get used the keys as they are a bit less spaced out as my previous keyboard. More compact than my prev one but that’s what I wanted. the wrist protector is very nice and I’m glad it’s not attached to the keyboard. keyboard doesn’t move as previously stated, it’s solid and nice.

    Logitech just release the GX Blue switch. It was out of stock on go-keyboard.com, so I picked one up at a Best Buy. I can say that overall this is a very good keyboard. The Logitech GX Blues feel identical to Cherry MX Blues (clicky). Very similar travel, noise, pressure. If you like Cherry Blues and Logitech, then this board is for you. I do wish it had a volume roller like the G810, but it isn’t the end of the world. An important note about RGB lighting: these are NOT Romer-G keys. Romer-G’s were specifically designed to funnel light through the middle of the keys and block any light bleed from around the keys. Look at youtube reviews of the Romer-G keys to see what I mean. The GX blues are NOT like that, and are like traditional Cherry like keys. See my attached pictures. There is a lot of light bleed from around the keys. Also, if you look closely at the go-keyboard.com pictures of the Romer vs GX Blue you can see that the letters/numbers are on the top half of the key for GX Blue switches and right in the middle for the Romers. This is because on the GX Blues the LED is on the top. The down side is that alternate markings (like the !@#$%^&, etc) do not have backlight. Ultimately this is a minor gripe and it really comes down to preference. Some like the RGB light bleed from around the keys, some do not. I prefer the cleaner look of the Romers. I wish they had a Romer Clicky switch, but some may prefer a more traditional Cherry MX Blue like switch. Also, the palm wrest is amazing and the brushed aluminum is beautiful.

    This keyboard is hands down my favorite keyboard I have ever used for both gaming and every day use (and after working in animation and design I have used a ton). Logitech’s entry into more premium peripherals for gaming has been outstanding, and this keyboard proves premium products they make can compete with even the most known brands. The keyboard has a very premium feel and build quality, the switches them selves are very satisfying to use for anyone for gaming or just while typing doing basic things on your computer. It has a great design to it that makes it feel like it was really thought out, the spacing of the keys make it comfortable to type on while maintaining a very sturdy build with out being a bulky or ugly keyboard. On top of this the keyboard comes with a very nice wrist rest that along with the keyboard has a cutout for headphone wires which is nice depending on how your have your set up. The wrist rest itself feels like a premium wrist wrest, it doesn’t feel like something they simply added in the box to make up for the value of the keyboard. While the keyboard is very nice there is something that I would have felt would have made this keyboard even better than it already is, that would have been to have dedicated media buttons on the keyboard, other ones that this price point have nice dedicated keys but this one does not unfortunately . Overall this is a fantastic keyboard that I can not praise enough, it has a great tactile feedback when typing and gaming, its build quality is great and sturdy, and the wrist rest if very nice bonus for anyone who constantly on a computer, you can’t go wrong with this keyboard. In my opinion it is one of the better ones on the market available today.

    I decided to try out the Logitech G815 with the Romer-G tactiles for a few months but I had to go to back to a full-profile keyboard with clicky key switches, no contest. This is a very solid, no frills mechanical keyboard, which is just fine for me, I do not need macro or media keys.

    My only real complaint is on the clicky model the secondary keys (such as the exclamation mark on the ‘1’ key) are not included in the backlighting for some reason, I think this is due to the fact the clicky switches are differently shaped than the Romer-G ones.

    I bought this for my GF primarily for the LED control. She loves it and is liking the padding for the wrist. Her only complaint is the sharp clicking sound. I didn’t check for brown key and these are pretty clickey keys. Great for anyone wanting that feature

    The keyboard is comfortable, sounds great, and I love the backlight colors. Unfortunately, I’ve had this keyboard for only a month and a half, and several keys are already showing wear where the black has chipped off, allowing the light to shine through. This is mostly happening around the corners, though as you can see in the first photo around the letter C, it is also happening on the letters themselves. I have used the keyboard exclusively for normal typing, and don’t have long fingernails, so this wear is very unexpected and disappointing for the price.
