   PROS: -Minimal yet customizable via Logitech Hub -G Key macros are SUPER handy (I’m using them to open task manager and a browser home page) -Function keys for media/brightness/on-board profiles are something I never knew I needed -Low profile as it gets -Height adjustment with two height options -RGB works as expected -Bluetooth connectivity option is pretty neat -Setup is fast -The connectivity is superb. If you are skeptical on going wireless because of an input/response rate degradation, don’t be. CONS: -the aluminum housing is bowed, the rubber resting bad in the front/middle is floating, when the rising pegs are flipped, the front of the keyboard scrapes against my desk. I suppose you could carefully bend it into shape, but who wants to bend a $200+ keyboard. This is the second G915 I purchased (first one was clicky and bowed beyond belief) and after reordering a tactile version, it still came in a bit bowed. -Key caps wobble a bit. I expect a little more key stability from a keyboard at this price. -Lightspeed USB adapter seems pointless. You get a Micro USB-B cable along with a lightspeed usb stick, but whats with the adapter? Perhaps i’m missing something… -Logitech G HUB is kind of a learning curve and doesn’t seem to offer enough simultaneous effect patterns. Maybe I want to have a wave pattern along with certain custom colors. I have yet to find a solution to this. -Might be a bit wide for some people. Final thoughts: I am very happy with this keyboard in terms of internal functionality and aesthetic. I love the idea and feel of my keyboard being very close to my desk and the shedding of a bulky cable is a dream. Logitech could have tested this keyboard more for defects and wear-n-tear issues. They can’t seriously expect people to buy this pricey product willingly after reading about multiple cases of bowed keyboards and broken switches (which i assume are a result of an unstable key cap). With all this considered, I recommend ordering this keyboard. If yours isn’t bowed like both of mine were, you got a great keyboard that you will definitely love.

   I’ve extensive experience in gaming keyboards since the days of the Razer Lycosa (2009), and the Corsair K90 (2012) where it was solely a gimmick to have “gaming” in the title to sell products at a premium. Since then, peripherals have only gotten better and improved from the overall build, down to the switches. And as an aging PC gamer, I needed something that fits my work-to-life ratio, as well as being comfortable to use. After a lot of research, I heard nothing but great things about the G915. And after learning there was a ten keyless (TKL) version, I figured this would be perfect as it would fit the dimension of my deskspace. The keys sit on low-profile Kailh switches, and to me, it’s the first time seeing it on any low-profile keyboard. Of course this makes it a little harder to find custom keycaps as they’re not the traditional pegs, but rather sockets where the keycaps have to “clip” into the switches. Nonetheless, they perform great and actuation feels fantastic with immediate responses like regular sized switches. All switches including the top audio controls are lit up, and can be customized in the brand support software, Logitech G Hub. Now here’s where I realized I might have to change it to the full-sized ten-key version. I work in IT and initially thought I could operate inputs and tickets with just the use of the number row. How was I wrong. By sacrificing efficiency for space, I found myself almost panicking when trying to assist other users when searching for information or completing data inputs. Realizing this, I don’t think I can live the minimal, “down-size” peripheral lifestyle. Of course, I could always get a numpad keyboard to connect and disconnect, but why pay more when there’s already a full-sized keyboard version of what is possibly the best keyboard I’ve ever used? The G915 is absolutely the top-of-line keyboard and the price (bought at approx. $150 at the time of purchase) reflects that. The stainless steel brush finish makes it’s so easy to clean, and looks professional even as a workstation keyboard. However, it’s not for everyone, or every WFH or IT job. I spent a little over 24 hours with this keyboard but by 18th hour, I never realized how much I relied on the numpad until then. Regardless, I can see why people recommend this keyboard, and I too will support those statements. If you’re looking for minimal, space-saving, wireless, and clean, absolutely consider trying this keyboard. As mentioned, the ten-key/numpad version of the G915 exists so consider that like I am for work.

   I swap out keyboards like crazy, and for the price, I was a bit hesitant on this one. But after typing on one for a bit, I was convinced this was exactly what I’ve been looking for. All things considered, it is! The mid-height key caps are my favorite, but incredibly tricky to find, so this was one major selling point. Something about the balance between the old school full height keys and the chicklet/laptop style keys make them easy for me to type quickly. The spacing is just right. The brown switches are my favorite. Not obnoxiously noisy, so I can have that satisfying “clack” without feeling like I’m driving everyone else in the surrounding area totally nuts. Also just enough feedback from the tactile bump to know when a click will be registered. That said, a few of the keys are a bit sturdier than others, while some are a bit looser/wobblier. Overall, fairly happy with the quality. The wireless connectivity is flawless. Haven’t experienced any issues with dropped keys or inability to connect. Only thing to note is that on boot, it does take a tiny bit of time before it connects and starts registering key presses, so if you’re trying to say, access your BIOS or switch to a different boot drive, you’ll have more luck repeatedly pressing the key you need as opposed to holding it down as you would with a wired board. Finally, love the overall look and feel. Was a bit hesitant to get a white keyboard, remembering some of the nasty looking boards from decades past, but it looks great on the desk so it was a sacrifice I was willing to make. The volume wheel and other audio control keys are a great addition, and the LEDs are nice and vibrant. Overall, for the price, I’m quite happy with this board. Great for typing. No issues when gaming. Its definitely not for everyone, but its a joy to use.

   I paid $120 for this keyboard, which I think is a great price. Hard to say whether it is worth $200 or not. Overall, this keyboard is the best keyboard I have ever used (I have never owned a keyboard over $35 in price except a macbook keyboard, which this is superior too, as it should be). I got the clicky keys and they are superb, providing easily the most precise and enjoyable typing experience I have ever experienced. They are a tiny bit loud, but not nearly as loud as other mechanical keyboards. I have only had this keyboard for a couple weeks, so I will update this review in the future if I have any issues with reliability. In these few weeks I really only have one issue, and that is with the secondary symbol characters. First off, unlike any keyboard that I have ever used, they are printed below the primary characters instead of above, which seems minor but does require getting used to (why??). Second, they don’t light up!!! Sometimes I like to turn the lights down, and if I need a symbol I don’t frequently use, I have to lean in to see which key it’s on!! If this wasn’t such an expensive keyboard, I wouldn’t even include these issues, but since it is, I cannot understand why these seemingly obvious design oversights exist! I have included a picture but my phone is so good at post-processing that it does not look as bad as it really is. In real life the printed on secondary symbols are barely visible in the dark. Overall, I will be keeping this keyboard and would easily recommend it to a friend, but feel that the above issues warrant taking a star off of an otherwise 5 star product.

   Very good keyboard. Hate to be the picky type but a huge star off due to the micro usb charge port. That technology has been deprecated from manufacturing of anything as everything is gone the standard usbc type. As a result I done even have micro usb wires besides the one that came with it. Must be extremely old keyboard or Logitech are just out of touch. I think I’ll be returning it because of this “minor in convenience” to some. Hate paying this much for something that is technologically old. Another star shaved for the crazy location of the G keys. Whenever I need to click ctrl I end up on the one of those g keys. Totally irrational location and proximity. Based on reviews I’ll probably end up with a knock off at fractions of the price that may just get the job done.

   This review is specifically for the G815 which is a total redesign from the G810. I know the price is a big issue for a lot of people but if you are reading this you have the money and are trying to decide if it’s worth it. The KB is the single part of the computer you will touch the most. More than any mouse, touchpad or trackball. So a meaningful change there will have a real impact on your experience with your computer. I found this keyboard fantastic — but with some troubling issues. Well worth my money but is it worth it to you? Read on. So, things I like: – Super thin but heavy enough not to move around at all. Stable as a rock. – Fast. Like really, noticeably faster. My typing speed instantly increased. – Butter smooth linear keystrokes, no muss, no fuss, no click. – Metal body looks and feels pro, top quality. It should for the price. – A bit of space between the keys means less fat fingering. – Really, super programmable per key. For example I have just the logo to do a lighting effect while the other keys are static. – The G HUB program that sets up the lights and macros was intuitive enough I figured out how to use it just tinkering with it. I was able to do a lot of interesting configuration on my KB. – I set up my keys with colors to denote function. So most keys are white but my F keys are yellow, my G keys are orange, my Windows and audio keys are blue, my caps, num, scrlk, pause, prtsc keys are green, etc. Makes for at a glance and peripheral identification and less hitting the wrong key. – A small lighted bar on the spacebar. Nice touch. – Stout cord and rubber protector. Braided cover. Built to last. Handsome IMO. YMMV – Audio controls are simple and responsive. – Separate programmable/macro keys (G keys). Sure, they could have built another function into the F keys but having them separate means one touch activation. When gaming simple is best. The biggest argument I see against separate G keys is a larger KB footprint. But not here. My old Azio KB without those measures about 18¼” (46cm) across while this one is about 18½” (47cm) so ¼” (1cm) difference. My standard HP keyboard for work is 18″ (just under 46cm) across so the difference even there is minimal. Unless you are upgrading from a KB with no number pad this just isn’t an issue. They accomplish this by having a much narrower bezel between the edge of the keys and the edge of the KB. Clever design. – I thought I would miss the built in wrist rest but I don’t. With this much thinner KB it just isn’t needed. And that change means a smaller footprint front to back. Under 6″ (14cm). Things I found odd: – Needs TWO USB plugs. One with a KB symbol, the other with a USB symbol. Why 2? Power requirements? Not a big deal but it’s weird. [EDIT: The extra plug is to make the USB port on the top of the KB is a passthrough. But it’s USB 2.0 and a KB is not a lot of traffic so why they thought a passthrough was needed I don’t know. Still weird.] – The USB passthrough is next to the cord on the top edge of the KB, not on the side as expected. – No scroll lock light. It has a scrlk KEY but no indicator light. Not that most of us use that but if you ever turned it on by accident you would have a heck of a time figuring it out. – There is no audio passthrough. I don’t care but you might. – The keys use the new style of being raised up off the keyboard so there is empty space under them. It looks kinda cool but I worry I will catch the corner of an edge key and pop it off. IDK if that would break it or just pop off the top. I would rather not find out. Stuff I don’t like: – The symbols !@#$%^&*()_+ etc are just printed on the keys; they do NOT illuminate. So on the 1 key only the 1 lights up, NOT the ! And they are printed in a medium gray, not white, so they really don’t stand out. In low light — like for gaming — they are completely invisible. This is the only thing I truly HATE about this keyboard. I’m sure someone will point out that I should be able to type without looking but then why illuminate the keys at all? And esp with symbols their placement changes from KB to KB. Any way you look at it, this is a big FAIL. – The letters and numbers on the keys are small. They could have easily been 25% larger without looking oversized and still with plenty of room for the symbols And they should have. They are very clear so even my old eyes can make them out but bigger would have been better. – I have yet to figure out how to use the 3 memory keys. I’ve tried a number of things and nothing has worked yet. The manual, being for the G810 which did not have those keys, is no help. I have found no YouTube vids on how to do it. I’ll figure it out but this is a problem. – Speaking of the manual, the closest I could find was the G810 manual and this is a complete redesign so not much help there. – The web site was weird and buggy and had no idea what a G815 is. It said something about being in transition so maybe that’s it. But wow, just wow. – The caps lock and num lock lights are white, rather bright, and not adjustable. I will have to put a tinted plastic cover over them. Also, reading the printed text next to them to see which is caps and which is num is impossible. Litreally black on black. I can figure it out but that’s obnoxious. Maybe I’ll paint over that in white. – The brightest level is just about right for me, but I like lower light. It has dimmer levels but nothing brighter. Not sure why they went with such subdued light, especially since this is a USB plug in, not wireless, so no battery issues. If I had a fancy PC build on display with this KB doing a light show I would want it much brighter. The problems are mostly things that should have been caught by releasing a few prototypes to a handful of gamers. Overall it’s a fantastic keyboard with some surprising issues for a premium priced KB. I don’t regret the purchase but normally with this many issues I might give it just 3 stars. Still, it’s already by far my all time favorite KB so I’ll go with 4. And hey, Logitech, if you’re reading this, if you need someone to tell you this stuff in the future I would be happy to do so. Because whoever is doing it now is not catching these things.

   UPDATE JUNE 2024: I bought two of these G915 KBs in September of 2023. I am not using these computers for work, and though I am active on a couple of social media platforms, I would not classify me as a heavy user. Nonetheless, the black plastic mask that coats the transparent keycap through which the keyboard lighting shines has begun to flake of on two of the keys. See the images. I contacted Logitech warranty support and they offered to send replacement keycaps. Though it took a lengthy exchange of emails and more than two weeks, Logitech DID send me the replacement caps. Not included were keycaps for the NUM pad, but I didn’t need those. I replaced the flaking keycaps. To Logi’s credit, they sent replacements. BUT…this should never happen on a gaming keyboard, especially one as expensive as the G915. I used a couple of G910s for YEARS with no such problem, and the keycaps on those look better than the ones on the G915s after les than a year. For my primary KB I have switched to a Roccat (now Turtle Beach) Vulcan II Max. Unless my G915 was manufactured during a cycle where defective materials were used, I can expect to have the same problem again in a year or two with the same or other keys. Manufacturers are always looking to make products with cheaper materials or processes and to charge more for them. Sad. I have been a Logitech customer for many, many years, but the trend with their products is not good. 1st review, now updated: LIKE: I have used the wired G910 for years and have loved it. The per-key color assignments, keycap design and the rich colors that do not bleed out under and around the keys made for an excellent keyboard. I bought the G915 to replace this favorite keyboard to gain the wireless function and to reduce the desktop footprint size. I love the aluminum deck and the smaller footprint. I’m glad the G915 has standard key placement. Being able to use either the RF dongle OR Bluetooth is nice, allowing me to instantly switch the keyboard from my desktop to my laptop or even to my phone. The charge lasts. It’s at 74% after several long days of use. I bought the TACTILE key version, and I like it fine. The keyboard automatically picked up my key color assignments I had set for the G910 from the GHUB software that controls both models. DISLIKE: (1) Unlike the keycaps on the older wired G910, Logitech has failed to illuminate the symbol keys that share keys with the primary letters and numbers. This seems absurd; if you need illumination, you need ALL the characters illuminated. This is a glaring, inexplicable flaw in my opinion, and it’s especially aggravating on a keyboard that costs $200+. (2) The charging port is Micro USB, which is both unfortunate and hard to understand since their MX Keys wireless keyboard features the newer and better USB-C port. Even the MX Master 3s mouse uses USB-C. Overall, I like this keyboard enough to replace the G910 with it. But it’s twice the price (the G910 is discontinued) and the two mentioned design flaws are bothersome. If I didn’t need to replace the G910, I would not keep it. On a related matter, the 1st example of this keyboard I received had obviously been repackaged and returned. The seals were broken, and the interior packaging was very sloppily replaced. There was even a clump of someone’s long blond hair stuck to the tape that had been used to reseal the box. I immediately processed a return and ordered a replacement, which arrived today. I’m not paying $200 for a kb that’s been round-tripped.

    UPDATE 2 After quite a bit of back-and-forth with Logitech’s support team, they did finally honor the warranty. To my surprise, they didn’t send replacement keycaps. Instead, they sent an entirely new keyboard. Mine still works fine, so I’ll keep using it for a while, but I guess I can replace caps and have a backup if there’s a broader failure. So kudos to them for standing behind their products. UPDATE Another key started to lose its coating. I’ve attached the image of the N key here. You can see it peeling off and letting the light through on the left edge. It’s not as bad as the “O” key, but this shouldn’t be happening at all. It’s clearly not a fluke. As a result, I tried to file a warranty claim with Logitech today. And the experience left much to be desired. First you have to get through their chat bot only to be told it can’t do anything for warranty requests (even though you get there by clicking to file a warranty claim). Support was aware of the issue, but they still waited until after making me enter case and personal details (twice in some cases) only to tell me they had no stock. How can you be a major seller of high-end keyboards and have no stock of your own keycaps?? They then said I should wait 7-14 days for more stock to come in, and then they’d help me get replacements. I asked outright if they would do that automatically as they’d just told me they entered all of this into their system, noting that I’d seen numerous others report (such as here and on Reddit) that they were told similar only to see no resolution at all. Either it was a lie, or they never intend to get stock in to stand behind their product. At this point, I’ll give it one week and reach out again. But if they don’t have stock to replace their shoddy keycaps, then I expect them to replace the entire keyboard under warranty. This is a great keyboard on many fronts. But short of a prompt and complete resolution, I can’t see making any other big purchases with Logitech in the future. I’m a professional writer and web developer who relies heavily on their keyboard. And in all my years, I’ve never once had a cheaper keyboard develop problems like these. Logitech needs a complete rethink of their keycaps. — ORIGINAL REVIEW In general, I love this keyboard, so I know the 1-star rating might seem odd. Works well with rapid touch-typing (which I do for hours most days related to my work). I went with the linear option. It’s still more “clicky” than I anticipated, so if you’re looking for a really quiet keyboard, this isn’t going to be it. A bigger issue though is the durability of the key caps. I’ve had several develop “holes” in the black finish, so you get these weird dots of light showing through that shouldn’t be there. On lesser-used keys, I patched this with a sharpie, and it’s held up OK for months. But the “O” key in particular has been a problem. As you can see in the photo, it’s looking rather shredded. And a sharpie did nothing to help on this one with the larger surface area. The only thing I can think of is that maybe it’s caused by longer fingernails. But I’ve worn my nails medium-to-long for years (nothing extreme or artificial where a particular material might be to blame), and I’ve never had another keyboard peel like this from a fingernail hitting it. I’m having a tough time finding a replacement key cap, and I’m not willing to purchase an entire set to fix this, when the peeling started less than a year after purchase. That’s absurd. So know this is a risk going in, especially if you don’t have super-short nails. Pretty disappointed at the poor quality of the key caps with an otherwise decent keyboard. Side note: if you do try using the Sharpie trick, make sure you fill in the gaps from the underside of the key cap. Otherwise it’ll just flake away again if you fill it in from the top. Still, there are odd ridges at points that are impossible to fill in from the bottom, so it’s not the best fix. Perhaps the biggest problem is the software. My preference while working is a solid backlight. But any time the system restarts or the keyboard disconnects for any reason, the settings are gone and back to waves of rainbows. Usually restarting the Ghub software works, but sometimes not. And it’s already set to open on startup, so why is that failing so much? It’s also set for onboard memory to save this to my M1 button. But no dice. System restarts, and the onboard memory also seems to reset. Every single time. WTAF? It’s a nice keyboard in general. But you’re not going to use most features on a regular basis. Basic settings like a simple solid backlight shouldn’t require their awful Ghub software. And we sure as heck shouldn’t have to reset the flashy rainbow setup constantly. This isn’t worth anywhere near even the sale prices you’ll sometimes find. I’d wait until there’s a more sensible option not reliant on Ghub, buy one used to it’s a bit more reasonable, or find an alternative.

    Update #1 (12/13/2022): The keyboard still feels great after a week. I full charged it after I got it (12/05/2022) and about after a week of on (most nights constant sometimes minimal) use its now at 5%. Its not bad, definitely not the month worth that some people say, but also well within the advertised hours (something like 30hrs playtime). It’s just the keyboard, dongle, and the wire in the box. The keyboard itself is super thin, I love it. I’m glad I got the clicky version because it doesn’t actually feel that clicky to me, I think it’s because the travel distance is less so it’s not nearly as a loud as a normal clicky would be. The dongle that the keyboard comes with is connected to a USB A female to micro USB B female. So you could just leave the wire that connects to your keyboard into the back of your computer and still have access to the USB port since it acts as a new adapter for your wire. So far I’ve just attached the dongle to the micro USB A female and planned to take the dongle out when I want to charge. I’m not a keyboard guy and I have only owned sub $30 keyboards so I don’t think I’m as picky as the others. This was definitely a splurge and I don’t like spending money (especially for just a keyboard) but I do like to keyboard and at least it feels really nice. For now I’m not sure if it was worth my money but I’m glad I didn’t pay full price for my item ($179 for black friday)

    -This is a review for the Logitech G915 Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (Tactile) My Experience: Originally I purchased this keyboard since I wanted something wireless however I also wanted a mechanical keyboard and a number pad. This keyboard pretty much fit everything I wanted however since I wanted so much of course it would cost a premium. The experience I had with this keyboard was pretty good but also a bit annoying as well, mainly on the software side of things. I use this keyboard with my job and I control two computers. My main computer and my work computer. I pretty much use the profile that’s on the memory but I also wanted to set up the G-keys with different functions and I wanted different color effects. Setting up the on-board memory in the Logitech G-hub was not very intuitive and was very annoying to deal with, however eventually I managed to get all the settings I wanted onto the memory. Switching between my regular computer (Bluetooth) and my work computer(wireless) is pretty fast and not much delay, if you haven’t used the keyboard for a while and come back and start typing on it, there isn’t any missed keys, the keyboard is just REALLY REALLY good. I do have some gripes with it though, the Logitech-G hub experience was terrible, you can’t see the keyboard on G hub while it’s on Bluetooth mode which is a big bummer, no USB type-C, for a keyboard that costs this much type-C should of been on here. Overall though it’s good, pretty much what I was looking for in a keyboard and don’t regret my purchase. —-UPDATE: – So a couple of days or maybe a week after I made this review, either by coincidence or they saw this review (most likely the first one) I can now see my G915 on the Logitech Hub in Bluetooth mode!!! Either way it’s great since now I can tell the battery life and make changes on it while on Bluetooth, though there are some restrictions on the color settings like you can’t use the “freestyle” or “animation” options but that’s fine with me really, rating it 1 star higher (Now 4/5) Positive: + Customization lights with a variety of options and modes + Full sized keyboard + very slim + good battery life (9+ hours a day used, usually lasting me about a week on 50% brightness) + Wireless + Good amount of additional keys like the 5 G keys, media buttons and dedicated volume scroll wheel + Number pad + Mechanical Keyboard Neutral: | Volume wheel does not give tactile feedback Negative: – No USB Type-C – Logitech G-hub software being a hassle to deal with – Keyboard cannot be seen in Logitech G-hub while on Bluetooth mode Recommended: Absolutely Yes

    The G915 ‘Clicky’ Wireless Keyboard is awesome – everything Logitech claims – well worth the wait. Setup was a breeze – fast and straight-forward. There’s enough lighting (Brightness & Variety) to satisfy everyone. Implementing my lighting scheme was easy and intuitive. I modified a Logitech-provided example and it worked out fine. The picture that I took seems to show a ‘blown-out’/fuzzy font because I had the lighting turned up all the way – not so in real life – all keypad characters are clean and crisp. There’s enough brightness to compete with bright room lighting and it can be stepped down (4 levels plus ‘Off’) to stay in balance if you reduce the ambient. I didn’t use the dynamic color changing options. I’ve been meaning to get to programming some of the keys for Photoshop Elements 2020 and OpenSource Office but haven’t gotten to that. Same with ‘gaming’. The only thing I don’t like is that only one character per key in illuminated and the lowercase punctuation keys are moved up in their respective pads if they are the selected character – in other words the ‘[‘, ‘]’, & ‘\’ , etc characters are lit but moved up above the ‘{‘, ‘}’, & ‘|’, etc characters respectively. This won’t be a problem for touch typists but those of us who aren’t skilled will have a little trouble finding the some of the lesser-used characters that are the alternatives to the numbers above the QWERTY. If I were designing this keyboard I would consider providing an alternative layout that emphasized the alternates to the numbers above the QWERTY so users would be encouraged to use the 1-0 pad to the right – after all this is a FULL SIZE keyboard (and then some). Another ‘improvement’ I might suggest is that if they aren’t going to be lit that the non-lit ‘alternative’ characters be in bright white or yellow – just sayin’. Pressing ‘CTRL’ causes the ‘ESC’, key to turn Green and ‘A”Z”X”C”V’ & ‘Y’ to turn ‘Purple’. Pressing ‘ALT’ causes ‘ESC’, ‘TAB’ & ‘F4’ to all turn Green. Pressing the ‘Window’ key causes ‘TAB’,’E’,’R’,’T’,’U’,’I’,’=’,’A’,’S’,’D’,’G’,’K’,’L’,’X’,’B’,’M’ & ‘.’ to turn Cyan. – Clever but not relevant to this user. A minor annoyance is that the ‘Num’ Lock key above the 10-number keypad doesn’t indicate whether the pad is set for Cursor Control or Numeric character entry – and there’s no LED ala the ‘Caps Lock’ indicator either. This keyboard is wireless and therefore extinguishes the lights to save the battery if you aren’t actively typing – no matter. Just press a printing character and it will print where you left off or press a non-printing character e.g. ‘CTRL’ or ‘ALT’ and unless it’s been set to ‘sticky’ elsewhere all that will happen is the board will come to life. When I ordered this board I thought I was ordering the ‘Tactile’ version. But the noise is about the same as the non-programmable board it replaces. I’m keeping this one. If I had a NY-sized studio apartment and a light-sleeping wife I MIGHT return it for the tactile version. I paired the board with a silver Logitech MX-3 mouse. It makes a nice companion especially when scrolling horizontally when viewing magnified photos and wide spreadsheets.

    I have used only Logitech branded input devices for both work and recreation for as long as I can remember. I bought the G913 a couple of months ago (in 2023), and the first think I noticed which was concerning is the port to charge the keyboard is not USB-C, but is USB 2.0 Micro-B type connector. Now, it isn’t that I want my keyboard to be on USN 3.0 because of the transmission speed…. the problem is that the older USB port tends to wear out and break. It is very susceptible to being damaged if someone yanks the cord by accident at an angle. When tablets used to use this type of port, after a couple of years use one usually had to repair the USB port because it had become intermittent, loose, etc. Using USB-C here would have meant longer useable life. But it also would have meant that any common modern USB-C cable would work. Instead, i have to keep the older type cable around. Now onto the next concern — that after just a few months I have three keys with the letting nearly completely worn out. That would be “S”, “M”, and “N”. This just doesn’t make sense, because the last keyboard I used (Logitech G105) was used for about 8 years both professionally and recreationally, before key lettering began to wear. So it is feeling like this won’t be a keyboard I use for long, and I am feeling like the next keyboard might not even be a Logitech brand, because of these issues on this product.

    $165+ and there’s something blatantly missing. The secondary key functions do not light up. Very difficult to see in any lighting and a pain. I know where the keys are but it’s something I’d miss not having the option where my last Logitech keyboard did have it. Another miss on this “gaming keyboard” was the touch feeling on the “W” key to know where that is at all times and a home place in case my hand drifted a bit during gameplay. The G910 was a far better gaming setup. The pros are the sleek and light design and less bulky keyboard but at this rate the cons outweigh the pros in my opinion.

    One of the best tenkeyless keyboards on the market, while a bit more expensive than others it performs for the price. I bought the keyboard at a 30% discount so was happy with that.
    The keyboard comes out of the box needs to be charged with the usb to micro usb cable included in the box, afterward you can switch to light speed with the usb dongle or Bluetooth, the battery life is crazy and does vary depending on how bright your rgb is (can be changed in G Hub), the keys have a fast travel time excellent for fps games such as Counter Strike and Apex Legends. {Note: if you play fps games it’s recommended you use the light speed connection rather than Bluetooth which is slower and not as reliable. One little thing that might irk people is the ergonomic aspect but I don’t find that to be a problem for myself. All in all it’s a great gaming keyboard and I highly recommend, probably even more when it’s on sale 9.5/10

    So this keyboard is great when wanting a wireless keyboard. Fast response as a wired connection. The only things that I do not like is the fact that the alternate keys above the numbers, keypad, and for (< > ?) do not light up. When everything is off I need to recall the placement for certain symbols. So if you don’t have some keys memorized then you will have trouble if you have no light. Lastly, one of the keys (W) is already peeling off as shown in the picture. Compared to the old G910 keyboard, when I used to game more intense, it never had any issues such as that. For the price, I do expect a higher quality for the keys. Other than that, its a fair product.

    This is an amazing board to use.
    I will NOT remove points for the crap that is G-Hub that you have to use to get the most out of this, but that part is total crap.
    This board has low-profile keys, but they are responsive and silent. The backlighting is vivid and (once you figure out/get G-HUB to work) combinations and macros work smoothly.
    Media controls are on-board and out of the way with minimal layout taken up.
    The weight of the board is good so it stays in place during use.
    The feet only provide a very small amount of lift, so that could be an issue for some that need a larger angle of elevation.

    It is quality, from the frame to the keys and is a joy to use over long periods of gaming or work.

    If you can get past the software, its killer.
    If you don’t care about macros, RGB or changing keymaps, this is a no-brainer, but you probably wouldn’t be looking at this board if you didn’t care about those things.

    Pros: -Fast typing due to tactile low profile key caps -Sleek design with a thin profile -Practical buttons and controls -Quiet Cons: -Price -RGB lighting First of all I love this keyboard, I’m using it daily and it’s such an upgrade from my previous keyboard. Typing feels so smooth and is relatively quiet. I use the volume slider more than I thought along with the programmable buttons. The price is slightly high to me, I justify it since I use it daily and I needed an upgrade. Also, The RGB lighting was a bit finicky. I was able to navigate it and set it to my preference eventually. Overall 5/5 for me, I recommend this if you can justify the price for yourself and/or need an upgrade from your current keyboard.

    I’m admittedly rough on keyboards and mice, but the G613 I was using just up and died on me for no good reason. I turned it off to wipe smudges off and it never powered up again. I REALLY liked that keyboard. It was out of stock so I decided to give the G915 a try. It’s too soon to tell how it holds up. I have to have a palm/wrist rest so I applied some Velcro to the back of it and the carcass of my G613. I’m liking it much better now.

    Without question this is the nicest wireless gaming keyboard I have ever owned. I rarely have to charge it and it’s performance is on par with any competitor out there. My only complaints are (1) for some reason the paint has started to peel on the ”SHIFT” and “D” keys which I can’t say has ever happened to any keyboard I have ever owned and (2) even after a long charge and reconnecting the keyboard to my PC, I will still receive the notification that it is on low power despite being at a full charge. Outside of that? Easily a 5/5 keyboard.

    I got the G915 TKL with clicky switches. I wanted it for a few reasons: – Play games on my personal desktop. – General typing (coding, doc writing, emails) on my work laptop. A good typing experience is a must. – Travel, whether that be for working remote or going over to a friend’s house. This means I value the thinness of the unit as well as its width. For reference, I’ve used a full-sized Corsair K70 with MX Blues [1] since 2016 and a similarly-sized Havit keyboard with Kailh Low-Profile Blues [2] since 2017. Pros: – The super-thin TKL form factor is awesome for reducing desk clutter, fitting in a backpack, and allowing my mouse arm to be closer to my keyboard arm for better ergonomics. – Build quality is fantastic. The metal base feels good and is super solid. – The battery life is excellent with the LEDs off. I use it all day every weekday and have only had to charge it once since purchasing 7 months ago. – When I want to impress, the LEDs are super bright and vibrant. – Switching between my desktop (dongle) and work laptop (bluetooth) is as simple as pressing a button. Couldn’t ask for a better experience here. – The inclusion of media keys is an awesome nice-to-have. The extra depth from having a row for these buttons has no impact on the keyboard fitting in a backpack. – The built-in dongle holder feels like an obvious required inclusion but not every wireless device includes one (I’m looking at you, MX Anywhere mice). Cons: – The inclusion of a micro-USB port on a $230 wireless keyboard feels like an insult. My laptops, phone, headphones, and controllers all charge with USB-C (with one charger, even). Packing an antiquated cable _just_ for this device when traveling feels unnecessary. Fix it! – The keys have significant wobble, which prevents me from getting to maximum typing speed. It was also relatively easily to accidentally double press keys for the first few weeks. It’d be easy to write these off as a consequence of the low-profile keys, but the Havit’s [2] switches are also low-profile and have a similar stem design yet feel rock solid. All in a keyboard almost a third of the price. Fix it! – I prefer to keep the LEDs off for better battery life. The translucent key labels have very little contrast (presumably to not wash out the RGB) with the rest of the key and are hard to make out. If I want to input a keyboard combo in a low light situation, this means that I either have to turn on the LEDs or look VERY carefully. I’ve accidentally copied instead of pasted so many times because of this. I’m not sure what a good solution would be but would love to see one.     This is not my first mechanical keyboard, nor my first mechanical Logitech keyboard. It’s by far one of the nicest looking and feeling keyboards I’ve used though. I wanted to try a lower profile keyboard primarily for ergonomic reasons and had otherwise been really happy with the G810 I’d been using for a while. This, despite the ludicrous price, fit the bill and overall I liked the look and design. The keys all feel and sound very uniform, and have a subdued/subtle sound similar to the G810 (I got the tactile version of the G815). One definite improvement over the G810 is that the spacebar is much quieter, in fact sounding no different than any other key on the board. So there’s a lot good about it, I’ve had no issues with the software recognizing it and supporting it beyond wishing I could have a keypress effect and command lighting both active: In terms of connectivity, it would have been nice if it didn’t require two USB connections to use the passthrough but I understand why given they did that to ensure full power was provided to that USB port. Ultimately the best approach I think would have been to make it a USB 3 passthrough port, not USB 2. Moving on to the other design choices that are disappointing, especially given the price: *The memory keys are always greenish, you can’t change them to match your color scheme. I am not overly bothered by this but it’s still very much one of those things that makes you go “why though?” *There’s no Scroll Lock light. The G810 had one, why is it missing now on a more expensive keyboard? Additionally, the Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock lights could be assigned different colors. On the G815 they’re just a bright white, too bright. I’d really like to be able to turn them down a bit. *Finally, the other regression from the G810: The secondary functions on the keycaps don’t light up. It is an unfortunate side effect of the design of the new switches, but why was it designed that way? Were there no alternatives that they could have pursued? I don’t have a problem reading them, I keep my keyboard lighting fairly dim as is and the light from my monitors is enough to make the printed labeling visible, but it is in a dark font which I’m sure makes it challenging for some. Overall a good keyboard but given the design oversights, not really worth $200. At $150ish (I think) the G810 was a better value. This is easily a nicer and better made keyboard with more premium materials, but Logitech seems to have skimped on some features which just shouldn’t be happening at this price point.

    Here are my thoughts on the Logitech G915 (linear version) after three months of use: The hardware is great! Solid and built well. Great layout and key feel. But the software leaves a LOT to be desired. Here are my issues with the G-hub software you use to manage the G915: (1) Having five G-keys to assign commands/shortcuts/actions to is wonderful! But for some obscure reason you cannot assign keyboard shortcuts to the Function Keys. Wait. What? I’ve been doing this for years on other Logitech keyboards, yet I cannot figure out an easy way (short of third-party apps) to do this on the G915. (2) My G915 randomly changes profiles with [seemingly] no reason. When that happens (e.g. my M2 profile is active, with the button lit), the G Keys are no long mapped to anything. I hit G3 to start my mail client and nothing happens. Then I see that somehow profile button M2 is lit. I press M1 and I’m back in business. Now, I understand that you can assign certain profiles to certain games and that the keyboard automagically switches to that profile when you start that game. But I swear I’ve never done that. Regardless, it’s annoying. (3) Setting the colors on individual and sets of keys is a pain. I’m a retired software developer and have designed and implemented UIs. G-Hub’s implementation of the color setting process is confusing and non-intuitive, and prone to error. (4) Charging: I looked at my charging status half-an-hour ago; 34%. I plugged a cable into the charging port and the other end into a powered USB hub. Just a few minutes later the green charging light on the keyboard stopped pulsing (indicating full charge) and G-hub reports I’m at 100%. Really? I unplug the cable and now G-hub reports 36% battery charge. G-Hub is broken. I can never tell when I’m really done charging the keyboard unless I repeatedly unplug the charging cable and check with G-hub. And, since the charging light doesn’t do its charging pulse, I don’t really know if it’s charging any further than 36% or not. (5) Wake-up delay: After not using the keyboard for a while, there’s something like a 1-2 second delay after pressing a key before the G915 wakes up and the G-Keys are ready to be used. Yet another annoyance.
