1. Royal Kludge M75 Hot Swap Cloud Switch Mechanical Keyboard Verified Buyer – 17 May 2024

   **Note: I do not use RK’s software or use the backlight features. I have no need for any of this and the keyboard works great for my use case. Previously, my main keyboard was the purple M75 with silver switches. It does everything I need including having the right keys in the right places. It worked great but I really wanted a more neutral colored keyboard. I was going to replace the keycaps on my purple one but it would have looked silly because the bottom half of the case is purple and the knob on the keyboard is purple. Enter the next iteration of this keyboard: green with viridian switches. For starters, there are distinct differences between the green and purple versions of the M75. The keycaps are completely different–they feel more premium on the green board and produce a MUCH more pleasant/muted thock sound on keypress compared to the pingy/loud noises of the purple M75. The green version’s keycaps also have a very nice matte texture compared to the purple’s more slick/shiny keycaps. Additionally, compared to the purple’s keycaps, the green’s keycaps have a bigger/bolder/better font which is positioned much more aesthetically on the face of the keycaps. I found the viridian switches to be leaps and bounds better than the silver switches in terms of typing accuracy and general feel. PROS: – Wired, Bluetooth, and 2.4ghz dongle – Knob for easily swapping between connection modes (click knob in, twist knob to select mode, click again) – Knob also controls volume (twist knob) – Mostly white body with white knob – good for using as a base for custom keycaps – Solid construction, feels hefty/dense – LCD screen doesn’t look gimmicky/cheap – Bright backlights – USB pass-through – Battery – Keycaps and viridian switches are amazing – No modding needed CONS: – Small portion of the bottom of the case is green but it isn’t seen from the side profile – Function key functions are printed on the front side of keycaps which is very useful but also detracts from a more minimal/clean aesthetic – RGB options might be limited/lackluster for some if you care about such things — I found them adequate

   Great sound, good features, decent quality. Overall, my only gripe about this keyboard that is preventing me from giving it a 5/5 is that there is some key wobble / play when you press the keys down more firmly and they just feel less stable – meaning I have a hard time recommending this keyboard for gaming. When mashing buttons in intense moments gaming you can definitely feel the keys wobble to the side a bit (definitely happens more on this keyboard than other mech keyboards that I have).

   Overall – Very high-quality keyboard with fantastic haptic feedback on keystrokes. A huge satisfaction to operate. My only complain is lack of ability to customize anything on mac. Constant LED light is distracting me and I now I need to find a windows machine to turn it off :-/

   5-stars for sound (so satisfying);
   1-star for a complete lack of macOS software support to set-up and customize everything.

   for the cost of the keyboard, it really is quite high quality. it has a hefty weight which doesn’t make it seem flimsy or easily breakable. it was quite sturdy and looked really good as well. everything functioned perfectly and the sound of the keyboard was really nice. really exceeded my expectations. 10/10

   The RK ROYAL KLUDGE M75 is a fantastic choice for those seeking quality on a budget. With versatile connectivity options—2.4GHz, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB-C—this keyboard excels in flexibility. The tactile keys provide an amazing, satisfying typing experience with an excellent “thock” sound that enhances every keystroke. While there is a slight flex if you intentionally apply force, it doesn’t affect regular use. For high performance and impressive sound at an affordable price, the M75 is a top pick.

   I really wanted to like this keyboard. Found some good reviews online and on YouTube. The first keyboard I received, it wouldn’t charge. The second keyboard, the spacebar kept catching the edge of the frame. I tried resetting it a couple of times, but that didn’t work. Almost like a build issue. I didn’t want to try a 3rd one. The couple days I used it, it was nice just too bad it didn’t last. Went with a different brand at the end.

   UPDATE:
   The manufacturer reached out and ended up sending me another keyboard. I guess 3rd time is the charm. No issues this time around. Sounds fantastic and looks amazing. The online reviews were right. If you were on the fence about getting this keyboard, you don’t have to worry about warranty issues as the manufacturer stands by their product.

   At more than half the cost of a Razer, Asus Rog or Corsair keyboard these RK keyboards are definitely worth it.

   The keypress is nice and quick, not too noisy, tactile and there is no ghosting,

   Takes some time to get used to the height, as it’s a quality build, the key height sits a bit higher.

   Liked it so much I bought another RK for my work machine.
