   I’ve been eyeing mechanical keyboards for some time now. While I do like 100+ key keyboards, I have been generally using a laptop keyboard most of the time without a numpad. Additionally, I like using a lap desk in several situations, so a smaller keyboard is desirable. This keyboard looked like a decent value and I liked the versatility in how I can connect. In fact, I’m using all three types of connections: When on my home laptop, I used the included USB cable. When using my work laptop, I use the included 2.4GHz USB receiver. When using my Steam Deck, I use the Bluetooth connectivity. In all cases, the typing is smooth and precise. Battery life seems decent – I’ve gone nearly a week on battery and still the keyboard is going strong. Key switches are a thing of personal taste. The included switches are Matcha – smooth action with a nice dull “thock” when clicked and smooth travel. Not quiet, per se, but quieter than my classic IBM Model M keyboard, and a more responsive action to boot. I love that I can change out the switches both if I wanted to change out the feel and in case a switch ever goes bad – this keyboard can be kept running for a while! The color scheme is probably also an acquired taste. It’s pretty apparent that it’s going for the look of Noctua products – primarily cream and brown. Where idt differs is in the smattering of gray key caps. The LED lights are nice, and you can easily select a mode that suits your needs. I am a sucker for the default scrolling rainbow. I like the side-lit keys – my fingers are on top of the key caps, so having the side-lit keys allows me to peek at them should I need to. However, I do mostly touch-type, so it’s really not something I worry about either way. I love the added touch of the knob on the upper-right of the keyboard. I’m surprised at how often I’ve used it already. I have to say, I’m not the most picky of typists, but I really have been enjoying this keyboard. I love using it – the best feeling keyboard in the house.

   This is a good mechanical keyboard, if that is what you are looking for. It has nice key travel and its tough as nails, as well as hot swap-able. It’s about three-quarters sized. For me the detractors are the no key markings on top, and the quite ugly color. You can see the color in the ad, and it clearly states that the keys are side-labeled, so if you are a gamer or a brilliant touch typist and this is what you are looking for then have at it. I am unfortunately too much of a hunt and peck type for it to work for me.

   In trying out this new keyboard it seems like it works pretty well I am glad that I got it still has a clicky noise but not as clicky as I normally prefer (MX Cherry Blue). It is more of the sound of tapping on dense wood. It does have a full stoke vs some of the lower profile mechanical keyboard do not have. It is not overly stiff and does not have a tinny feel that some keyboards have.

   I like the color of the keyboard, it is kind of retro with a more modern take on it. I also like the feel of the keyboard, it feels extremely high quality and solid/ heavy. When you shake it there is absolutely no rattling. I did not think that I would like the keyboard letter on the front (instead of the tops) of the keys but they are surprisingly visible and easy to see and I think it will help in the long run to keep the tops of the keys cleaner. I am not able to perceive any delay in the switches. The onboard storage for a dongle is convent if you do not have Bluetooth (like on my work laptop). The USB C charger is convent and I have not had any battery problems yet.

   This is a wonderful Keyboard!!!!!!!!
