The most ASMR keyboard I’ve ever owned. The keys come off and can be replaced with custom keys or standard keys. Lighting is good quality rgb. Works well so far for gaming. Probably not recommended for extended periods of consecutive typing with these keys.

I didn’t realize that my ideal keyboard would be difficult to find. I just wanted something that looked kind of like a typewriter, you know, round keys. I also needed it to have a number pad, make the clicky clack sound and be backlit, but I wanted to be able to have it be one solid color, I am not a gamer. Apparently, that’s asking a lot. After trying a few others and returning them immediately, I saw this one and said why not? It’s perfect for me, the keys are super responsive and clicky, I can change the color to solid white and it’s really gorgeous in person.

It’s a fantastic keyboard. I read the reviews pretty thoroughly and in the first two days everything is fantastic. I gave a good wiggle and click to each individual key to make sure each one is secured perfectly and functioned how they should. A few complains is that if left alone for several hours the keyboard shuts off and won’t come back on unless re-seated. I tested this with my gaming desktop, started it up and walked away for several hours, my set has no sleep mode set. When I came back the keyboard was still on and full of color. On day one I played several different types of games with the keyboard for around 6-7 hours and it never became uncomfortable. Depending on the time of day I do change out the lighting to help me see the keys, but its so easy to change around it’s not even an inconvenience to do. I have a rather painful light sensitivity and the customizations made it very nice and very comfortable. After several different variations of use the only real negative comment I have is that the font is very annoying. It makes some letters look worn off and the @ sign looks like a u sign, the 0 looks like () and I just don’t like it, but its my only complaint and it’s not even enough to drop a star from my review. The last major note in most reviews is that the silver rings on the keys being to fall off, but that doesn’t seem to happen until between 1-6 months, so I may need to do an update at that point.

Hi :3 This is my first time reviewing anything on go-keyboard.com! Which is crazy considering my low key online shopping addiction😅 (Do keep in mind I’ve only had this keyboard for a day as of 12/3/20, so if I find any other cons I’ll be sure to update the review) I’ve been looking for a gaming keyboard for awhile now, and found it hard to find one that really stood out. Most of them claimed to be rgb, but failed spectacularly on exuding bright color that catches the eye. I’m here to tell you that this keyboard does that and more! Firstly, I can assure you that it is def worth the $70. I’ve never used a typewriter before, but the keys both look and feel more than wonderful to use, and the professional click sounds that they make offer a soothing sound to marvel at. I’m still learning the different color options, but I tried out some with the help of the product description and couldn’t have been happier! The personalization factor here is very high and it makes me happy to know I’m able to tailor the look to match the rest of my gaming The only con I can conjure up is the color option instructions. I do wish they came in the box (pls correct me if I’m wrong!) Thankfully they are in the product description, but it’s a little bothersome to have to take a peek under there to change the backlighting. All in all, this keyboard packs a punch, and has even inspired me to tackle some late school assignments so I can spend my nights clacking away with friends and score some kills onCyber Hunter and Apex 🙂

I got this keyboard because it looks awesome. It looks just as awesome in person as it does online. The typewriter setup with the raised keys and open style is beautiful. The round keys are different. It took a bit to get used to them and not have my fingers slip off of them. They are very smooth but once I adjust to it, my typing is fine. The mechanics have a nice sound and a solid feel but they are not stiff. It is a very smooth typing expierence. The rainbow display is as described. I enjoy the flowing rainbow pattern and keep it there. All told, I’m glad I picked up this keyboard. It is a bit different but well woreth it if you enjoy how it looks. I’d not rate it for gaming because of all of the above. If you are gaming in a competitive way, not having the familar feel is going to throw you off. I mostly play stratagy stuff but I could see it messing with twitch reaction needs.

Set this up today and did a few hours of work and a bit of gaming on it. Great for typing and gaming. Easy to change RBG lights to something that suited me and the wrist layer is great. I needed something with the number pad on the right for work (old gaming keyboard did not have it) and decided on this one. Aside from my nails hitting other keys, which would happen on any keyboard with medium-long nails, this thing worked great. Just got it today so this review is fresh but I instantly loved the lights and the clacking sound of the keys. It has a nice feel and seems well made. Unlike some other retro keyboards I looked at, this was does have the 10 key buttons. I would prefer wireless but wired is fine too. No batteries or charging which is a good thing because I like to leave the lights on. The only downside is that the characters on the keys are dim and difficult to see and they don’t light up. They show better in the picture than they do live. It’s not an issue for me but could be for others. My wife didn’t like the way her nails hit the nearby keys but that is also not an issue for me. Overall I like the look, the sound, and the feel and if I have any issues I’ll update.

Bought this as a Christmas present, so won’t really get to test it for a bit, but it looks awesome. Not bought for the gaming functions, but more as a cool present for a writer.

While the packaging wasn’t the best to protect the keyboard during shipping, it arrived almost two weeks early.

The lighting is amazing and seems the perfect brightness, even in a dark room. After reading some of the reviews, I was concerned the keyboard sounds may be too loud. But they’re noticeable without bearing over powering. I think this is a great item.

First of all, this keyboard is beautiful and exactly what I expected. It’s smooth, has an amazing clickity clack when I type, and the typewriter look is my absolute favorite. However, when it arrived, the box arrived damaged and had a label slapped on it. It was very worn and the wrist guard came partly unattached. What a pain that was to reattach… Luckily, my husband is crafty and managed to get it on and it’s hardly noticeable but what a pain it was either way. Would’ve been a 5 star rating if it came packaged a bit better. Maybe next time put it inside another box instead of in the packaging box and through the USPS cause UPS doesn’t give a rats behind about customers’ packages.

Dropped to a 3, the key gaps are just too much to adjust to. The keys are much wider than other normal keyboards. I’m also getting double pressed keys which was the issue with my last keyboard. Sadly, looks like it’ll be a return for me.. Original Review: I give it a solid 4, and the only reason for this is how the keys are made.. If they were square keys like a normal keyboard, the keys would have some major gaps between them.. I’m having some issues typing and getting used to it.. Round is nice, a tad weird at first.. I think if the gaps weren’t as wide it would be a lot better. The red mechanical switches are the same as my previous keyboards, I’ve actually been waiting on a company to come out with the typewriter style keyboard with red switches, so I was super excited when I found this one. So far, seems pretty legit apart from the key gaps. This review was filled with backspaces as I’m just not used to the spaces lol Mkay, that’s enough typing.. Lights are amazing, I’m keeping it on default. My setup is RGB so it’s just perfect for it 😀

I absolutely ADORE this KEYBOARD!!! 1st of all, I am not a gamer. I wanted a backlit keyboard so I could use my computer in low lighting 1st thing in the morning with my coffee and after the dinner dishes have been put away in the evening. I had been typing on an HP SmartCard CCID keyboard, which does have mechanical switches so I wasn’t to worried about having to adjust to the sound or feel. Let me tell you, this Royal Kludge keyboard beats typing on my old kb by LIGHT years!! The keys have just the right amount of sensitivity, much easier to press to actuation than the old kb. I love the clickyness of this kb too. It has more of an almost “dual” click to it, much better sounding than the old kb. The round keys did not take getting used to as some of the other reviews on here claimed. For me, they are EASIER to type on, and spaced just enough so that they don’t interfere with each other. I feel I can type faster on this, I guess because they are easier to press, really don’t know. The lighting is really beautiful. I love all the different effects and brightness levels available. There were several reasons I chose this particular kb when I made the decision to treat myself to a backlit board. 1st, it had to be mechanical. 2nd, it had to have individually lit, dimmable multi-color keys. 3rd, it had to have a wrist rest. I know, you can buy your own stand alone wrist rest, but I felt like for the money these backlit boards with all the features I mentioned cost, it ought to have a WR. 4th, it had to be beautiful and fun. And finally, it had to come in at less than $75. This ticked all the boxes, but I was not prepared for what a joy it is to use this keyboard! I LOVE the steampunk vibe and retro look combined with the gorgeous lighting. I LOVE the ease of typing. I LOVE the sound!! The cord has a little velcro piece attached to gather any slack in, which was an added little bonus to me so I don’t have to worry about my dog getting into the slack. The ONLY thing that could be improved on IMO is the wrist rest could have been padded. I’m all about comfort and ergonomics so I will most likely purchase a gel rest to use instead of the included plastic one. I will probably just remove the existing one altogether rather than keep it folded beneath. I will say that the kb is quite awkward to use with the wrist rest tucked beneath it, both sitting flat or with the legs extended for incline. Speaking of the legs, there are two different settings of incline which I found to be quite nice. I currently have mine on the steepest incline setting and it gives me great visualization of all the keys even though I don’t need to see them, just for certain characters I don’t use often. All in all, I am so pleased with my purchase. If you’re still on the fence, just GET IT! You can always return it if it’s not for you. 🙂 Edit: I did purchase a pretty turquoise mf/gel wrist rest, came with a separate little one for the mouse. But instead of removing the attached plastic wr, I just place it in front of it. I don’t tuck the attached wr under, but keep it extended and my padded rest butts up to it. I have long fingers so this setup works really will for me. Will add a pic.

UPDATED REVIEW: I was promptly contacted by the mfg and a new keyboard was sent. All is working fine now! I agree with one commenter that if you have this placed on a very nice table you my want to put some cushion tape (duct tape?) over the hinges. The rubber feet do a good job from having it slide around though. Also if you aren’t adept at touch typing you will find it easier to see the keys if you set the lighting to a brighter color like yellow and not have a bright desk light shining on the keyboard. These keys will be easier to keep clean too since they sit up and aren’t flush with a base, something to consider if you have furry pets like I do 🙂 previous review— I like the feel and color changing options of this keyboard, BUT the USB connection is flaky. I have missed the return window by a week when I determined during full-time use that it doesn’t kick back on when I restart my computer. I would have to unplug then replug several times. I’ve checked my USB connections with other peripherals – all were fine. There are no downloadable drivers noted for this keyboard – just plug and play. It will kick on from Sleep Mode so I’m resigned to not turning off my computer – fine, until we lose power at some point. Is this a one-off blip with this one keyboard? I don’t know, but wish for a response from the mfg.

Im in love with this keyboard!!!! I bought this to use at work, so not using this for gaming. I had one from another brand that had blue switches and it was just too loud for my taste. This one has red switches and it’s just perfect! The colors are so pretty! It has different light modes you can choose from. Looks great, love the feel of going typing on it. However, be warned those silver rings around the key are super week. Also this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But the keyboard is hypersensitive. If you are not a precise typer, you might need something different. Even the smallest brush with a key will typically trigger it. So if you are not very precise, pick something less sensitive, if you are precise, this is a dream.

This Key board is aesthetically pleasing. I love the colors and brightness, they match perfectly with my RGB desk lights. Feeling this keyboard I was slightly disappointed they feel like a light weight plastic and seemed like they would break easily. After a week or so using this. I grew accustom to the feel of the keys and didn’t think more about it. I purchased this Mar 3rd and aside from getting use to the placement of the keys, did not have any issues. I do not consider myself an aggressive typer so am surprised that I have 3 cracked keycaps. I only just now noticed because the plastics “chrome” around the keycap got stuck under the cap while I was typing. Under closer inspection I have 3 cracked “chrome” plastic covers. I was looking for the sellers information to see if I could contact them but have not seen anything. This keyboard isn’t the most expensive but it is also not cheap. I feel that 4 months is too soon to replace keycaps

I sat on this baby for close to a year before taking advantage of the Memorial Day sale. While the keyboard is nice, I’m not sure I would recommend purchasing one again from this company. The silver finish on the keys has been cracking and flying off of them individually and the wrist support was relatively flimsy and took some damage. When I touched base to see if they sold back up or replacement parts for the wrist guard and keys that were falling apart, I was redirected by their initial support before being told “you can try to find it online” regarding replacement items in an informal email. It’s disappointing that for any support or upkeep I will need to find another company that may be able to assist with full replacement parts for their product.

True RGB colors like in my photo only show up during full programs. (FN+Ins) (Fn+Del) Not being able to use any PC software to fix that issue was horrible for my dark office. Only 6 color choices in the monochrome setting. (FN+Pause) Keys nice, easy to type on. Blue clicky switches are also very nice. Changing Keycaps allowable, switches are not though. My main selling point was true RGB and the typewriter style of keys. Not being able to finely control the RGB and no switch changing is why I ultimately am returning this keyboard.

Update: the company reached out and did right by me. Absolutely would buy another one from them, especially if they make a bluetooth version of this keyboard. I absolutely love the colors on the keyboard. I’m a person that goes for RGB things and I wanted a really clicky keyboard with the 10-key pad. There’s even a button to open the calculator, which I never noticed when I purchased the item. Don’t know if I can change the lighting mode, never figured that out lol. The keys didn’t take long to get used to versus the normal squares. If this was a wireless keyboard, I would absolutely love it even more. Now, the only issue I have with the keyboard is that it is not readily available to use upon booting up my computer. Whether I turn on the power from a shutdown or wake up the computer from its sleep, the keyboard takes anywhere from 1-5 minutes to register that I’m trying to unlock my computer. I had a previous keyboard plugged into the same USB slot as this one and didn’t have that issue. Don’t know if that’s known for this keyboard, so it’s a been a bit irritating when I want to use my computer. But, after it registers, I don’t have any issues afterwards until I shutdown/put the computer to sleep. Would definitely buy again.

When I bought this keyboard I knew there would be compromises because if it’s style. My eye was caught by its typewriter aesthetic and I pulled the trigger. When I received the keyboard a few of the silver rings slipped off of the keys. This feature annoyed many other reviewers but I didn’t think I would be inverting my office keyboard often so I slipped them back on and carried on. I believe the lights aren’t as bright as they would be due to the placement of the LED’s. Which is fine. They click very nicely and after several weeks of use I have yet to see any issues arise.

Before I get to the review, I wanted to share instructions that I found to program the lighting the way you’d like – the included instructions are not super clear (or complete), my only real complaint about this keyboard. FN+F11 — custom color setting Press FN and a number row key (1, 2, etc.) to choose which “saved config” you want. Then Press FN-F11 to engage recording mode. All four indicator lights will be blinking. Press each key to toggle through 7 available colors. When you are finished, press FN-11 to save. In the future, press FN-1, FN-2 etc. to pull up the saved config. FN-F12 — custom macro. You can set macro to up to 5 of the following keys: Y U I O P. Press FN-12 to start programming, press one of the FN keys to record macros into that, then type your macro, then FN-F12 again to end recording. In the future, call up the macro by FN+Y (etc.). Other keys: Most of these are obvious based on the secondary legend, FN-F1 is multimedia, FN-F2 is play/pause, FN-F3 is stop, FN+F4 = vol + FN+F5 is VOL -, and FN-F6 is mute. FN+PRTSC is full color mode FN+SCRLK is single color mode FN+PAUSE is toggle among 5 modes: single key highlight, scroll, wave, raindrop, reactive typing (to be explained later) FN-DEL — main region (36 key) backlight on/off FN-END — water flow lighting mode FN-INS — reactive lights FN-HOME– breathing light mode FN-PGUP — always on / off FN-PGDN — side/back light control FN – LEFT or RIGHT — adjust speed FN – UP or DOWN — adjust brightness (3 steps) To “factory reset” the keyboard, press FN+ESC and hold for five seconds. FN-PGDN — side/back light control Default is slow transition of all colors use FN-PRTSCN and FN-SCRLCK as needed, as well as FN-arrows. Review: I wanted a full size keyboard, with round keys, that was backlit and could be set to a single backlight color, and not stuck on RGB mode. This keyboard checks all the boxes, and has a ton of customization options as well! I got the blue switches, but I’ve seen this offered with red switches too, in case you’re looking for something quieter, or less tactile. I love the retro futuristic typewriter look! I’ve set mine up with a solid yellow backlight, with a wave pattern that ripples out from each key pressed. You can change all of the effect colors as well, including the ripple color (see the attached video). There are a ton of different modes and color options here, and none of the customization requires software to set up – it’s all done with key combos. This is a plus in my opinion. I have seen a link for customization software available for this keyboard, supplied by the seller in the customer questions section of this page on go-keyboard.com, but I’m using this with Linux and Mac computers, so I won’t have a chance to test it out. I have been using round keys exclusively on my last two keyboards – I find I type faster on them, measured with a typing test comparing a sqaure key Vs. round key keyboard that were otherwise comparable. While slim, this is a full size, 108 key keyboard, with a numpad, and it takes up space on your desk. The keyboard is solid too, with some good weight to it. There’s a little more spacing between the keys than you might find on many other keyboards, and this may take some getting used to. I’m a big fan of the footprint personally, and feel like I have a spaceship command deck in front of me! I’ve had this a keyboard for a day, and just had to review it, it’s that cool. I’ll update this review after putting this keyboard through it’s paces over the next few weeks.

First off I would like to say it’s biggest draw back are the metal hinges. They do in fact scratch your desk, so use a mouse pad. But the good news is as listed: •Lights are VERY bright! I mean bright!😐 •very well built keyboard with an aluminum top plate it is made mostly of plastic which is no big deal. •uses MX cherry blue switches, very clicky and tactile so you do feel a little bump when you actually activate the key. cons: not hot swappable, only a few switches come out but that’s it. •for its price at just under $90 after shipping tax it’s pretty on par with major name brand keyboards like Corsair & Razer, being you get MX blues as standard and exposed RGB lighting effects all around. That being said it’s a chinese Manufacturer and they Keyboard is a Royal Kludge S108 model with the plastic type writer key caps. The product pictures don’t do the selling point all that much justice but took a gamble and I’m pretty happy I got it for under $100USD versus a competitor charging around $135 to $150 for a keyboard of this quality with MX switches and lighting features.

Feels a bit heavy, which I like. Doesn’t have that traditional click to the keys that I love, but there’s a solid feel when a key is pressed. Round keys are so much better than the square keys that I’ve used my entire life. Apparently the old school mechanical typewriters got it right. The wrist rest (not sure what else to call it) is very comfortable. 10/10 would buy again. Edit: It turns out that the key that didn’t conform to my preferred layout was actually doing its job by pointing out that it was active (the Num Lock key). This may be the perfect keyboard.

Truly, this is a beautiful keyboard. It’s clicky, super responsive, and – ugh just LOOK AT IT. It’s got several easy-to-switch-between light settings, and it’s loud, but I like that in mechanical keyboards. the problematic part comes to those with large fingers. I wear a fem size M in gloves. My fingers aren’t slim, but I’m not ham-fisted. I’m a solid Medium. With that said, it’s difficult to type on this keyboard. The keys themselves, while lovely, are small. Misclicks, typos, and general BS happens with this thing far more than on any keyboard I’ve ever used. Even my old typewriter with similar keys wasn’t this bad. As said in the title, this will be problematic for some, but not all. I would definitely suggest getting this keyboard and trying it out, rather than just passing it up. I hope it works for you! It’s **so** dang pretty.

It’s beautiful. So many options when is comes to the way the backlights work. I LOVE the type writer sound. The round keys are going to take a little getting used to but in the last hour since i got it, I’m doing so well already. Some of my buttons aren’t working like they say they do. My prt sc does not screen print. My pause button does not pause. If I press fn and F6 then it pauses and starts. My sclk and pause actually control my screen brightness. The only thing that truly bugs me though is that echo of the springs after i’ve pressed a key. It’s a very small after sound which would be no big deal but the whole point of this keyboard (at least for me) is the sound. I wonder if it’s something normal. If so, does it go away with use or do you just learn to tune it out? So i’m not giving it 5 stars because of the minor things mentioned above but i do actually like this a lot. i hope this helps with your purchases.

Loved the colored lights, the sound of the keyboard, and my son who uses it for gaming loves the different options. This is an amazing keyboard. However, we had an issue with the keyboard (and the driver). The keyboard would randomly start typing letters or numbers, never the same one like a key was stuck, and I could not type anything without a constant stream of these random keys (even deleted the driver and redownloaded- worked fine for a day and then would go crazy). Went to go-keyboard.com, crap my return period has closed. Chatted with an go-keyboard.com rep who put me in chats with the company. They chatted with me about the issue and sent me a new keyboard. It took some time but this product has been great, I love the typewriter feel to it. I love the color changing options. I love the full keyboard. See my images and video, decide for yourself but I would buy this again. Great for gamers and the everyday person who wants a cool light up keyboard that makes clicky-clack sounds.

I feel I should start this review out by saying I love this keyboard. I’m a streamer/gamer for a living and when I saw it not only did I think I HAD to have it but my inner gamer thought Resident Evil!!! (If you know you know.) I should also mention I’m more of a console player so I don’t typically use the keyboard for my gaming but I wanted to put this keyboard specifically to the test. Upon playing a few very intense games on Call Of Duty I realized this probably wouldn’t be the best keyboard for “Aggressive/Hardcore” gamers. I kept noticing in high-intensity moments my fingers would occasionally slip kind of under the keys. They (The keys) have metal edging to them where your fingers kind of slip and hit the edge of the key if that makes sense? I would say this keyboard is best for normal people who aren’t aggressively smashing their keys to try and stay alive. I love this best for just writing purposes and everyday use. I wouldn’t recommend it for my PC gaming friends but for those who just love beautifully aesthetic keyboards such as myself. The keyboard has a beautiful type-writer-esque clicking sound which I love. I personally like the loud clicking but I have had people mention that it can be very loud in their ears when my mic is a little too close. The RGB lighting is beautiful which you can change into different lighting modes. The brightness is also adjustable but I like mine to blind me and to look like the Northern Lights on my ceiling in the dark lol!
