This keyboard is glorious. It has some of the smoothest keys I have ever typed on, and it feels like I could trigger the keys if I breathed on them too hard. For some, this is a negative. But when I’m gaming, it feels more responsible than any device I’ve ever used. (Optical linear reds are fantastic!)
Even when you’re not looking for lightning-fast response, the keys are also fantastic for slower games with a ton of menus that you can navigate effortlessly. As someone who grew up playing classic JRPGs, this has to be the perfect controller for them.
And for the price? Perfection. Keychron has a customer for life! Low-profile keyboards are life changing if you have any sort of carpal tunnel, so do give this style of keyboard a shot if you suffer from such issues!

Keys feel mushy and not as responsive as a regular mechanical keyboard. I was so excited for this keyboard and now I am sad.. I’d like to try a different switch option with this keyboard but returning it seems to be a pain.

The aesthetics, build quality, connectivity, feel and ergonomics are awesome. Though, I’m used to keyboards powered AA/AAA batteries that only run out of power every year or so (you’d be surprised some of them are not ancient models).
I have no idea why this rechargeable battery only lasts for days. I’ve never turned on the backlight and this gadget goes to deeeeep sleep after 5 minutes of inactivity.

I like the keyboard as a whole, however, beware that the keys are NOT Gateron switches. The other Keychron K3 that I have are Gateron red switches, but it was my mistake not reading that these are KEYCHRON switches. The Keychron reds are 10g lighter and have a smaller travel / actuation point in comparison to the Gateron Reds, which make them more sensitive, causing me to make typos I haven’t made before on my other K3. That being said, I do plan on swapping the Keychron reds to the Bananas since it has a higher actuation force, hoping for a less sensitive typing feel. Everything else works as expected, the keyboard is fairly easy to take apart for mods such as tape mod. Optical switches and hotswap feature is a blessing too for scenarios like this where I want to change up the switches. Great keyboard overall, just beware of the Keychron switches since theyre not Gaterons, and also keep in mind when getting the red switches.

No latency when used with bluetooth and so many light modes I could throw a party with it. In all seriousness, I loved it! The brown switches are smooth but not “mushy” (usual comment with red-ones). I code and write a lot with this baby and its really nice. Thanks!
