After having a bad experience with the Ducky One 2 mini, I was very cautious and worried about purchasing another keyboard. The packaging is clean and by board arrived undamaged. The setup instructions pamphlet Keychron includes in the box is easy to follow along with, and switching out the 4 mac keys for their windows counterparts was a breeze. The aluminum siding is a nice touch, and adds to the already sturdy construction of the board. I am coming from Cherry mx browns, so the subtlety of the optical switches is both satisfying and much appreciated. I can definitely see this board being great for both home or office use. The optical brown switches I chose have the coveted *thonk* sound and feel you are looking for. I purchased this board in large part because it reminds me of the legendary IBM model m, and let me just say it looks every bit as good in person as it does online. Overall the K8 is a value smashing machine, and an absolute steal starting at $70. I seriously can’t get over how much more I prefer this K8 over my previous Ducky mini.

Just dig the look and the fact that it operates so well through Bluetooth or wired and the battery lasts so long. Feels amazing love the clicks.

Keychron is slowly becoming the standard for people looking for affordable and accessible mechanical keyboards. None of that fancy stuff. Just nice and reliable

The keyboard itself is amazing. Love the tactile feedback. My only complaint is the horrible Bluetooth. Disconnects at least once a day and causes all my other Bluetooth accessories to disconnect too. The only fix is to turn Bluetooth of and on, which is difficult when my Bluetooth mouse has been disconnected too.
