   I bought this keyboard twice. Yes, twice! First time I bought this for my brother for his birthday gift. He liked this keyboard very much and has been using for more than three years. Getting idea from him I bought this one for myself as well. Both of us are online multi player gamers. We basically play DOTA 2. I tried lot of gears before but it came out this is the best for me. Today is the three years anniversary of this keyboard. I bought this as a black Friday deal three years ago. Feel like writing an honest review about it. Keys are very swift. There is a clicky noise with the key you press, but to me this is the beauty of mechanical keyboards.

   

3. What Does This Button Do Verified Buyer – 22 May 2024

   Junk, plain and simple. The first I bought retail and within a few weeks some of the keys in the centre of the keyboard either did not register, or double-tapped the key. Eventually it seemed I was spending a 1/3rd of me time fixing edits, so I sent it back (cut the cord and take photos with the serial number and they send a new one). Replacement:: Same thing after a few weeks of gentle use, I am not a keyboard-smasher. Third keyboard:: Same thing. I gave up and took the pile of useless, expensive keyboards and tossed them in the rubbish. Waste of money for a “quality” keyboard. Now I am still using my 5yr old Dell keyboard, and you know what? It just works and works. Pros:: The M keys macro buttons, dust-cover Cons:: Stops working as one might expect it to work.

   I’m writing this reveiw today to give my personal feedback of the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate. I bought this keyboard brand new at my local gaming shop. I loved it! I play csgo at a rather competitive level and I could see that they mechanical key switches and response time had improved my skills. But unfortunately something odd happened. While the keyboard has been great, as of the last week my “h” key is acting up. Sometimes it will register, sometimes it won’t. Unfortunately this is a pain when I use that key for my gaming. Unless this problem fixed itself, I’ll have to give this keyboard 3 stars. Hopefully you all don’t have the same misfortune. Cheers!

   Razer keyboard as expected. Although it came late from go-keyboard.com, the keyboard did not disappoint. Very sturdy build with back lit and loud mechanical tactile feedback. Definitely old school. It might be distracting if you have a roommate thou… A bit disappointed with the packaging for a $100 keyboard (box was different from what was posted online). Comparing with the Razer Kraken box (see picture for side by side), I though I received a refurb unit until I checked the label saying it’s new item.

   Fits nicely on my desk, and has a good weight to it so it doesn’t slip. I haven’t used a mechanical keyboard since the 90’s, but it gives me a nice nostalgic feel. I don’t think it increases any gaming performance or anything. Standard macro ability that is found in most keyboards in this range is available.

   Was confused between this and the Corsair. But the day it arrived, I knew that it was the ultimate choice. It is choice, it is perfection. Clicky(somewhat noisy) and superfast. The import did take somewhat like 10 days and it was worth the wait. The lighting is amazing.. the usb 3.0 port is very fast and headfone slot works perfectly as expected. The only cons are 1. The keyboard is pretty heavy and 2. Everytime i checked the macro, several keys stopped responding even after i turn off macro function, and stays like that until i restart the software.
   Giving it 5 star as it is worth the money and a perfect gaming partner with some pretty good looks.

    Just wow is all I have to say. After utilizing an Azio keyboard for the better part of 4 months to go with my new gaming PC this was such a breath of fresh air to plug in and begin using. Never before have I used a keyboard that has felt so satisfying to type and game with. Razer has done an excellent job with this product, the durability, build, the attention to detail never seeming to disappoint (that excellent LED lighting). On the right hand side there is a USB 3.0 port and a single headphone/microphone jack next to it. Mechanical keyboards unlike others, offer better tactile feedback and can be more comfortable to type on. Razer as a company themselves have custom designed the switches on the keyboard itself, they do not use Cherry MX mechanical switches as other manufacturers do. To sum up the typing experience of this keyboard in one word: FANTASTIC. One last thing about this beautiful typing tool is the lighting of the keyboard. This coupled with Razer’s Synapse software make creating custom lighting profiles a simple process. The pre-configured profiles are excelled too. So all in all if you are in the market for a new keyboard do give this one your attention and as a possibility. Yes the price is up there but believe when I say that this is worth the price.

    Review for the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2016 Awesome mechanical keyboard. Green is my absolute favorite color and Razer has that part down. The keyboard feels good to type on, and I love the green. The clickity clack and keys are softer than my Das Keyboard, but still provides adequate haptic feedback and both feel good to type on, I don’t really prefer one over the other, they are both much much better than a non-mechanical keyboard. Pros- Green color looks sharp and can be adjusted for brightness as well as different settings, light up only certain keys etc. I like the starlight mode that slowly lights up random keys. By logging into the Razer synapse app your keyboard settings get stored on their servers so you can restore them on any computer you use your keyboard on. Good haptics. Cons- You have to login to the Razer synapse to change settings on the keyboard, it would have been nice to store or change settings locally. some people may consider the green only a con, if green isn’t your color you’ll want to go with the chroma. Did I mention I really like the green?

    If you like clicky keyboards, and enjoy great comfort while playing games. This is a great keyboard. It’s quite heavy so it’s not lightweight, but that means that its not gonna feel cheap.

    After just looking at it for more than a month, I have finally decided to get it–the Razer Black Widow Chroma Overwatch keyboard. Yes, it is expensive, but ever since I first saw it, it has become my dream keyboard. I wanted it, and now I have it. Overall I am satisfied with it. You do get what you pay for, and even with its hefty price it has all been worth it. Just like the Black Widow Ultimate 2016, which was my first Razer keyboard, the Overwatch edition is a joy to type with. They keys are easy to type on and much lighter than the previous mechanical keyboard that I had, the Dragonwar Atomos. I liked the Atomos, but I simply love the Razer Overwatch edition keyboard. It is a dream keyboard, meant so much to show off as much as to type on. I am not much of a keyboard user when it comes to gaming, but then I type a lot due to my home-based job, and I have found out that mechanical keyboards in general are much better to use than membrane keyboards. Razer’s mechanical keyboards in particular are great to use. The Razer Green switch is easy to press, and even more so that you can hear each key press very well. It might be loud for some, but it isn’t really that loud as compared to a typewriter. Now that can be very loud. But the Razer Green keys just have that loudness that’s enough for the ears. At least for me it isn’t really that bothersome. One thing that might be inconvenient for some about the Overwatch keyboard is that the Overwatch logo on the top right can only be turned on and off through Synapse, and not through pressing a key. Why Razer didn’t have the logo included in having the lights dimmed/off and on though FN+F11/FN+12 I am not sure, but IMO Razer should have included it, or else have the logo turned on and off through FN+F8, since the F8 key isn’t assigned an FN function. Another little detail is that the Overwatch logo can’t have its light change color like most of the other lights on the keyboard, which might disappoint some people. Those are just minor things but aren’t really deal breakers. Another thing to note is that aside from having no macro keys, the Overwatrch edition keyboard doesn’t have USB pass through, so it doesn’t have a USB port nor even mic and headset ports on it, so people who are used to the regular Chroma keyboard might be surprised by this. One could say that the Overwatch edition is a mix of the Chroma and the X Chroma keyboards. It might be that the Overwatch edition is a preview of what the next iteration of the Black Widow Chroma would be, but then that is just a speculation for now. So overall, the Razer Black Widow Chroma Overwatch edition keyboard has been a satisfying purchase for me. I am very much pleased by it, and would be my main keyboard. Next in line would be the Razer Deathadder Overwatch edition mouse, just to have an Overwatch-themed PC. I am still thinking of getting the Razer Man O’War Overwatch headset, to truly complete the whole set. Most probably I would also get them as well.

    Purchased it several years ago for great value at Prime Day. Served as the gateway into the world of mechanical keyboards, once I tried the clicky switches, the regular membrane switches felt lacking. The black design and subtle lighting also matches well with my Razer laptop and rest of my setup. Has held up to this day of use a few times a week at my home setup. Razer has many new models in the market these days but this one’s still a classic!
